Titles that open with N
N often means "The Night…", "Never…", or "The New…". Negation titles ("Never again") are rebirth cousins: they announce a refusal. The book has to show the refusal as a series of new choices, not as a slogan repeated at every banquet.
Night imagery is atmosphere. If the synopsis has no job, no pack, and no clock, atmosphere is all you are being sold. Keep walking.
This is a title index, not a ranked list. Reading guides and categories are better when you want a story type instead of a letter.
