Chapter 57: Chapter 57

Two days have passed since Y/N and Nayeon's talk and Y/N has been ignoring Nayeon once again. Nayeon thought that maybe after their conversation Y/N would stop ignoring her but no she's doing it again. She gets that Y/N is hurt and that's why she's giving her the space she needs. Luckily Mrs. Chou and Mr. Chou are keeping her company. Chaeyoung and Tzuyu are starting to talk to her as well but definitely not like before. They're just talking to her because they don't have another choice.

They act exactly the same as how they did when Nayeon first came here. They hated her and now they hate her too. It's like Nayeon is experiencing the same thing all over again.

Y/N is well aware that she shouldn't be ignoring Nayeon, especially when Nayeon is in a state like this. She can see the hurt in Nayeon's eyes whenever she ignores her.

"Y/N, you shouldn't give her the silent treatment like that. You said it yourself, she's hurting herself. She won't stop any time soon if you act like that towards her." Mrs. Chou stated.

"I know but it's just hard. I don't know how to handle this situation. Did I make a mistake by bringing her here? I mean I'm making all of you uncomfortable. And I said it would be just a couple days but it's almost been a week." Y/N sighed.

"As much as I don't trust her, I think you did good by bring her here unnie. But mom's right, you should talk to her. The only way she'll go back to herself is if you help her." Tzuyu informed. She absolutely hated that Nayeon was staying here but she's not blind. She can see that Nayeon really regrets everything and is trying pretty hard to make Y/N forgive her.

"I'll go talk to her right now." Y/N said and stood up going to the guest room. She didn't knock on the door and opened it immediately which she is glad she did because she caught Nayeon hurting herself again.

"What the hell, Nayeon?" Y/N walked in and took the knife from her hand. "What are you doing?" Y/N yelled.

"Just let me hurt myself." Nayeon stated weakly.

"Alright this is enough." Y/N said and closed the door before she approached Nayeon.

"What are you trying to do huh? I get that you blame yourself and that you have regrets but this is not the solution! I didn't bring you here for you to keep hurting yourself. Are you trying to hurt me by doing this?" Y/N raised her voice.

"What? No, of course not."

"Then why are you doing this, huh? Do you think this will make me forgive you? Do you think that I will go back to you if you keep doing this to yourself? Don't you realize this is making everything worse? I hate to fucking see you like this!"

"Y/N, I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry to me but to yourself. You're damaging your body as if it isn't already damaged enough." Y/N suddenly grabbed Nayeon's arm and lead her to the front of the mirror which startled Nayeon. Y/N suddenly lifted up Nayeon's shirt making her scars, that her father left, visible.

"Look at these. You told me yourself that you're embarrassed to have these scars. You got them for nothing. You got them when you absolutely didn't deserve to receive these. So why are you now hurting yourself? You couldn't prevent your dad from abusing you but you can prevent yourself from doing so."

"It's not that easy!" Nayeon yelled as she pushed Y/N by her shoulders.

"Do you think that what I went through is easy? Yes he stopped abusing me but I can't help but think that this is what I deserve. I've gotten so used to getting abused that it actually became a part of me! I feel like I need to be punished for doing that to you because you didn't punish me! If you had punished me, I wouldn't have been doing this to myself right now. Why? Why didn't you punish me?" Nayeon cried.

"How was I even supposed to punish you? Isn't this enough punishment? I knew Jinyoung was going to pull something like this yet I didn't protect you, isn't that punishment? Look where you ended up because I didn't prevent them from stealing your position and you're telling me that I didn't punish you?" The scene is really looking like a mess right now.

"Is it really punishment if you take me in after I had my downfall? Can't you see that this is what my life was supposed to be like."

"Do you know what? I really hate this Nayeon. I absolutely hate you right now. What is it going to take for you to stop doing this? I forgave you okay? I'm not angry with you anymore, I forgave you so just stop doing this. If you ever loved me then please stop." Y/N pleaded. She remembers how Nayeon told her that she doesn't love her the day they broke up. Y/N didn't believe it back then and she still doesn't to this day. She knows that Nayeon is hurting herself because of her. Because she feels bad for doing all of that to Y/N. She's doing it because she still loves Y/N. Her love for the CEO never faded and that's what hurts Nayeon the most.

"I'm sorry." Nayeon suddenly said and hugged Y/N tightly. Y/N hugged her back as she rested her chin on Nayeon's head.

"I'm so sorry." She repeated which made Y/N's tears fall as well.

"Look listen to me. I hate it when you're like this, okay? I hate to see you weak. I didn't put them in jail for you to become weak like this. I need you to be strong. If you can't be strong for yourself be strong for me." Y/N pulled away from the hug and cupped Nayeon's face. "You owe it to me and to yourself. I don't want to see you crumble like this. Please stop doing this."

By seeing Y/N cry, Nayeon suddenly came to her senses. She's been strong all her life. She never crumbled even after what she went through so why is she giving up now? Why is she giving up when Y/N is literally begging her not to.

"I will." Nayeon looked down.

"I'm not leaving you alone until you stop doing this. You might think that there's no one that cares about you and that you have no place to go to but you're wrong. Your shitty family might not care about you but I do. I care about you and so does my family. You're not alone in this."

"What did I do to deserve you?" Nayeon asked looking into Y/N's eyes.

"I don't fucking know." Y/N chuckled. "But what I do know is that I want the strong Nayeon back. You say I didn't give you a punishment and that's why you feel like we're not even but we are even, Nayeon-ah. I hurt you too, so we're even now. We hurt each other equally as much and if you still feel like we're not even then please grant this one wish of mine and stop doing this."

"Iss that all you want?" Nayeon questioned.

"Yes. Do that for me and we'll be even." Y/N stated and Nayeon nodded.

"Okay, I will." Nayeon said which made Y/N smile weakly.

"Promise?" Y/N showed her pinky finger which made Nayeon laugh.

"I promise." They linked their fingers and even by that small interaction Nayeon's heart beat went faster.

"We should go down for dinner." Y/N suggested.

"I look like a mess."

"Well, me too." Y/N chuckled. She can't believe that she just cried in front of Nayeon. Both of them wiped their tears and washed their faces and made their way downstairs. Y/N's family was already at the table and they were a bit shocked to see Nayeon and Y/N coming together.

Tzuyu and Chaeyoung glanced at each other and both could tell that Nayeon and Y/N were both crying.

"Nayeon is going to stay here a bit longer if that's okay with you guys." Y/N informed.

"Of course, we don't mind." Mrs. Chou shook her head.

"Girls?" Y/N looked at Tzuyu and Chaeyoung. Y/N doesn't ask for their opinion that often but she does care about what they think. The last thing she wants is for them to be uncomfortable.

"I'm fine with it." Tzuyu said.

"Me too." Chaeyoung agreed.

"Jihyo unnie and Mina unnie are coming over later. Do you want to join?" Chaeyoung asked Y/N.

"Yeah, I'll join. So will Nayeon."

"W-what? I don't think that's a good idea." Nayeon doesn't like the idea at all. She doesn't know how Jihyo will react and Mina, well even though they talk from time to time things aren't as they were before.

"Just join. It'll do you good." Y/N looked at Nayeon smiling weakly which is something that everyone at the table noticed. It's the first time that Y/N looks at Nayeon while smiling even though it was a very weak smile.

"Okay." Nayeon looked down. After they had dinner Jihyo and Mina showed up. The mood was a bit awkward at first but Y/N tried her best to lighten it up.

Jihyo isn't very happy about the fact that Nayeon is here. She out of everyone knows best what Y/N is going through and she can't help but blame Nayeon even though she knows that it's not entirely her fault. When Nayeon stood up and went to the kitchen, Jihyo decided to follow her to have a talk.

"Nayeon-ssi?"

"Oh yes, Jihyo-ssi?" Nayeon suddenly became nervous. She's also nervous around Tzuyu and Chaeyoung, but Jihyo is on another level. She can be intimidating at times.

"Do you have time to talk?"

"Yeah, of course." Nayeon just nodded. The last time the two had an interaction, Nayeon was a bit rude towards Jihyo which she regrets right now since Jihyo only wanted to help.

"I may not live here but I'm aware of everything that's happening and I don't think that Y/N did good by taking you in." Jihyo shared her thoughts.

"I know. You have every right to be mad at me. All of you have. I messed up, Jihyo-ssi. I'm well aware of that now."

"As much as I hate what you did, I don't want to see you hurting yourself. None of us want that. So for your own sake and for Y/N's sake please stop doing it okay?"

"I will." After talking with Y/N today, she's definitely going to try her best to grant Y/N's wish.

"Also stop being sad. You look tired and broken. Y/N unnie is literally giving you a chance to fix things. Take that chance, Nayeon-ssi. She never gives someone a second chance, but I'm sure she's willing to give it to you. You won't get it if you keep acting like this though. Unnie hates to see you weak. She likes strong people, people who can stand on their own feet. Show her that you're strong. If you at least care a little bit about her, show her that you're strong." Jihyo suggested.

"Of course I care about her. I care a lot about her, Jihyo-ssi and always will but I just don't know how to approach her." Nayeon admitted.

"Be confident. Y/N unnie is all about confidence. She'd prefer to see you smile instead of seeing you cry. Just fight for her while you have the chance." Jihyo patted Nayeon's shoulder and left the kitchen to go back to the rest. Jihyo remembers telling Y/N to fight for Nayeon when Y/N's plans came out, isn't it ironic that she's telling the same thing to Nayeon right now?

Nayeon was actually expecting Jihyo to tell her to leave Y/N alone but on the contrary Jihyo told her to fight for Y/N and that's what she'll do. She'll do anything to fix their broken relationship. Even if Nayeon can't win her back she at least wants them to be friendly with each other. She can't stand the bad blood between them.

A few days have passed and Y/N and Nayeon are doing better now. Y/N checks up on Nayeon from time to time to make sure that the girl isn't hurting herself and it seems like Y/N is slowly softening up. Especially now that Nayeon is not hurting herself anymore. Y/N really managed to get into Nayeon's head and make her stop hurting herself. In the year that Y/N and Nayeon have known each other, Y/N never asked Nayeon for a favour but she did now and that was for her to stop hurting herself. After everything that Nayeon did, she feels like she should at least grant this one wish of hers.

Nayeon has also followed Y/N's advice and has been thinking about what she's going to do next. Y/N gave her the great idea of selling her shares and start up her own company. Nayeon was hesitant at first because she doesn't know if she can pull of something like that. But the fact that Y/N believes she can, gave her a small amount of confidence, which was enough for her to start thinking about it.

It's almost midnight now and Nayeon can't sleep so she went downstairs to get some water. When she went downstairs she saw someone sitting outside in the garden. She went to have a closer look and saw that Y/N was just sitting there while drinking wine. Nayeon is a bit shocked to see Y/N drink alcohol. Y/N barely drinks and she doesn't let anyone drink at home either. She even prohibited them from bringing alcohol inside. It was one of her main rules. Maybe she set that rule because of Chaeyoung or maybe she just really doesn't like alcohol. Nayeon never really questioned that rule of hers, so she has no idea about the reasoning behind it.

But it seems like in the five months that Y/N and Nayeon have been apart the rules of the house changed.

"You didn't tell me that you drink now." Nayeon joined the CEO in the garden. She's following Jihyo's advice and is trying to be confident around Y/N.

"Well, guess it slipped my mind." Y/N looked up at the girl in front of her.

"Can I join?"

"Go ahead." Y/N patted the place next to her and Nayeon sat down with a weak smile on her face.

"Here you go." Y/N poured another glass of wine and handed it to Nayeon. She knows that Nayeon loves wine.

"Since when do you drink in your free time?" Nayeon questioned. Of course Nayeon has seen Y/N drink before but they were all at formal parties or formal meetings. She's never seen Y/N just drink at home.

"I just drink from time to time. To take my mind off of things."

"What do you need to take your mind off of?" Nayeon can see that Y/N is very stressed and she knows that she's the cause of it. Y/N used to be very confident in her company and the work that she did but ever since the scandal, Y/N had to go through things that a normal company wouldn't have survived.

"Just work things." Y/N partially lied. Yes work is on her mind but so is Nayeon.

"Well then wine is indeed the perfect solution for that." Nayeon joked which made Y/N chuckle.

"I'm going to tell you something and you're going to be very proud of me." Nayeon suddenly mentioned.

"Oh really? What will that be?" Y/N looked at her with curiosity.

"I'm going to sell my shares. And I'm receiving 30% more than the actual price."

"Wait, really? Who is this generous buyer?" It doesn't happen a lot that someone would offer more than the actual price. It must be someone that's really desperate for those shares.

"You're going to be quite shocked."

"C'moooon, tell me already." Y/N's patience is starting to drain.

"It's Mr. Cheong, the CEO of CheongTech."

"No way." Y/N smirked. Mr. Cheong is Mr. Im's biggest enemy. The fact that a huge amount of shares will be in the hands of Mr. Im's enemy is exciting Y/N. The one man that Mr. Im is scared of, is Mr. Cheong. So Nayeon did a very good job by negotiating with him.

"I figured that if I sell my shares, it shouldn't be to someone who's friends with my dad. This way my dad and Jinyoung will be in trouble without me having to do anything. I believe Mr. Cheong hates them as much as we do and he'll definitely make their lives a bit difficult." Nayeon laughed to herself. Y/N admits that this move of Nayeon's was very smart. She didn't even think of it herself. She totally had forgot about Mr. Cheong, so she's glad that Nayeon actually thought it all through.

"So do you think I should sell them to him?" Of course Nayeon didn't want to do anything before asking Y/N. She now realizes that Y/N is always right when it comes to things like this. It's like Y/N has a mastermind when it comes to business. She's extremely smart and that's one of the qualities that Nayeon fell for.

"Hell yeah, you should. I have to admit, this is a very smart move."

"So are you proud?" Nayeon asked with hope in her eyes.

"Yes, I am." Y/N sipped from her glass of wine. Just hearing Y/N say that she's proud of her, makes Nayeon feel very happy. The two continued to drink and had a very nice talk. A talk that they both enjoyed and had missed. The last time they talked like this was before their break up.

After talking for about an hour both girls became a bit tipsy.

"I'm also looking for a place to stay. I promise I'll make it quick and I'll leave when you tell me I can." Nayeon informed.

"It seems like you don't want to stay here at all." Y/N noticed.

"No, it's not like that. I just really don't want to make you uncomfortable or take advantage of you."

"Well, I already told you, you can leave when you stop hurting yourself. Did you stop?" Y/N took Nayeon's wrists to look at them. From what Y/N sees there are no recent cuts.

"I stopped the day you asked me to." Nayeon looked into Y/N's eyes deeply. Normally she wouldn't even dare to look at Y/N like this but she believes that the alcohol is kicking in and taking care of her actions right now.

"Will it stay that way?" Y/N looked into Nayeon's eyes as well still holding the girl's wrists. Those eyes of Nayeon's are really Y/N's weak spot. Nayeon's eyes tell her a million things that they're both afraid to say out loud.

"Yes. It will. Because of you." Nayeon really doesn't know where she suddenly got this confidence from. She just hopes that Y/N won't leave right now.

"You can stay at my apartment until you find a place. We can move your stuff tomorrow." Y/N ignored Nayeon's statement and also let go of her wrists, but her eyes were still fixated on Nayeon. That's one thing that she couldn't let go of.

"You don't have to Y/N."

"I want to. It's obvious that you feel uncomfortable here. I don't want you to feel like that."

"I don't feel uncomfortable at all. In fact I'd like to be around you all the time. There's nothing that I want more." Nayeon admitted as she looked down to Y/N's lips that look very kissable right now. Nayeon misses kissing Y/N. She remembers the heavenly feeling that she got from it and she can't help but want to experience it once again.

Nayeon wasn't the only one that was staring at her lips though. Y/N is staring at Nayeon's lips as well and noticing how Nayeon is doing the same thing, she brought her face closer to Nayeon's. At this point they're so close that Y/N can literally feel Nayeon's warm breath on her own lips.

Y/N knows that she shouldn't be doing this right now but she can't help it. She wants to do it and being a bit tipsy is not helping her to make the right decision. So she did what she wanted to do and kissed Nayeon's lips slowly. Nayeon immediately reacted by kissing her back.

They shared a small kiss before Y/N pulled away, but her face was still close to Nayeon's. The two looked each other in the eyes and Y/N leaned in once again, this time pulling Nayeon closer. She held Nayeon's left cheek as she deepened the kiss. Both know that this is wrong. They shouldn't be kissing when their relationship is broken as fuck. It will only make things worse, but they're both addicted to the feeling. Addicted to the excitement that comes from kissing each other.

After about a minute Y/N pulled away. Things were about to get heated if she didn't stop it."W-we should go to sleep. It's getting late."

"Y-yeah, we should." Nayeon answered as she stood up. Her face is entirely red from all the blushing.

"Uhm I'll see you tomorrow. Good night, Nayeon-ssi." Y/N can't even look at Nayeon right now. How can she when they just kissed?

"Goodnight, Y/N-ah." Nayeon smiled weakly and went to her room.

Y/N took a deep breath to comprehend what just happened. She had never fallen in love before and she thought that she would be over Nayeon after being apart for five months, but it seems like she's been lying to herself. She kept telling herself that her feelings have faded and that's what she really believed. But now after kissing Nayeon she realized that her feelings didn't change at all. They're still as strong as before but the one difference now is that it's mixed with heartbreak and those feelings are the most dangerous ones.

She shared a million of kisses with Sana for the past month, but none of them can be compared to the way how she feels when Nayeon kisses her. Her heart beat goes faster and she feels like she can melt any second.

"Well, that was a weird thing to see." Tzuyu suddenly walked into the garden which startled Y/N.

"What the hell are you doing here?" Y/N questioned.

"I couldn't sleep so I thought to just walk around but then I was met with two people kissing."

"You saw?" Y/N sighed.

"Yeah, I did. Really unnie? That fast already?" Tzuyu sat next to her. She was expecting for them to go back to each other since the attraction and feelings are obviously still there, but she didn't expect it to be this soon.

"I didn't mean to." Tzuyu can see the glasses of wine in front of her and she can tell that they both have been drinking.

"Do you still love her?"

"I don't know. I thought I didn't but I think I maybe still do. I just don't know, I'm confused Tzuyu-yah."

"It's okay unnie. It's normal." Tzuyu patted her sister's shoulder.

"Why is it so hard? Why am I still not over her? Why do I still want her, Tzuyu-yah? I fucking hate this." Y/N gritted her teeth. She's really frustrated with her feelings. "I'm literally in so much trouble because of her but here I am taking care of her and fucking kissing her. Am I that stupid?"

"Unnie, you're not stupid. You're in love. People do things like these when they're in love. Have you never heard the saying love makes blind? Don't be mad at yourself for being in love."

"What should I do?" Y/N asked her sister for advice since she's just stuck and doesn't know what to do.

"You either cut her off for good or you try to fix your relationship with her. That's up to you. I can't really tell you what to do. I know that in the end you'd do the right thing."

"What would you do?" The CEO wondered.

"You're really asking me as if I have ever fallen in love." Tzuyu laughed. She's never fallen in love before so she can't know what it's like to experience this kind of heartbreak.

"I'm sorry, I'm just really hopeless right now." Y/N laughed as well.

"Just give it some time and you'll figure it out. Anyways we should go to sleep now, it's late." Tzuyu suggested and the two finally went to sleep.

A/N: The end is near everyone. Only two chapters left (this time for real). What do you think Y/N's decision will be? Will she cut off Nayeon for good or will she try to fix what's left to be fixed?
