I rub the soft fabric of clean sheets between my fingers. It's been a long time since I've been able to sleep in a bed alone. My fingers graze over the glossy wallpaper as my eyes examine the room. It is clear that although the room is trying to be gender neutral there was obviously a feminine touch. When you take into account the beautiful tapestry hanging above the door and soft pink duvet.
My eyes then trail down my own bruised frame to find that someone has changed me into a beautiful silk night gown, the sort of thing I was never allowed to own.
I feel my heartbeat exhilarate could it of been my mate who changed me? The moment the thought passes through my mind I cower, if he saw all the bruises surely that would be reason enough to reject me?
My eyes snap up to the oak door as I watch the handle turn painstakingly slow. Before I have time to think I pull the covers up and retreat into the furthest corner away from the door.
Cowering I watch an incredibly familiar man enter the room I slept in. He looks around baffled for a second then his eyes lock with mine, instinctively I wince and begin to shake.
Cautiously he begins to make his way towards me as he draws closer my heart beat speeds up. He's going to kill me I can feel it.
"Hey Isabelle." The moment I hear his voice my body relaxes slightly and I scold myself for letting down my guard at the sight of complete stranger.
"W-who are you?" I whisper staring down at the soft sheets clenched between my tiny fists.
"You don't remember me?" The man responds a hurt expression appearing on his face.
"N-no I d-do." I reply quickly trying hard to please him. I am weak but I'm no idiot it's obvious by the stature of this man that he carries a lot of power within this pack, angering him would be a mistake.
"Oh really?" His voice is teasing as he sits down at the end of the bed.
Instantly I push myself further against the head board, "y-yes."
"Well then Isabelle enlighten me." He draws out my name slowly as if he enjoys watching me squirm.
"I um errrr-."
"It's o-."
"I DO KNOW!" I cry desperately as a small smile appears on his face. Instantly I cover my mouth quivering, "I-I'm sorry for interrupting you s-sir."
"It's fine truly, but if you're so certain you know who I am then enlighten me." He gives me an encouraging smile as I begin to sit up a little straighter.
"W-well you carry authority in your voice, you s-sit up tall and it's obvious you're used to being obeyed. Ummm, you don't have the stance of an Alpha, so maybe a beta?" I whimper pulling the sheets up to cover my eyes to afraid of his reaction. This is the first I've shared my opinion with anyone and if my observations are correct then I have every reason to be afraid.
"It's okay." I hear his voice, this time it's much more quiet and reassuring. "I won't hurt you."
"Do you promise?" I ask from behind my sheet.
"I promise."
Slowly I let the sheet go, watching the Beta walk towards me, he offers me his hand as I crawl out of bed.
"You're very observant Isabelle." He comments as I stand beside him.
I shrug slowly.
"The Alpha would like to see you now." He says in a serious tone.
"You mean Theo?" I ask letting a small amount of excitement slip into my tone.
He simply nods curtly waving towards the door.
"B-but I have nothing to wear." I protest weakly.
"Alpha Theodore will see that you have some clothes to wear by the end of the meeting, until then what your wearing will have to do."
I nod shuffling through the door and directed towards Theo's office. He gestures towards a closed wood door, "wait here the Alpha will see you when he's ready."
He promptly turns to depart barely leaving me enough to ask, "how will I know when he's ready?"
"You'll know." Came his cryptic response.
I twiddle my thumbs nervously as I examine the hallway. Theo's office is at the very end of a beautifully decorated hall, the walls are a soft creamy white and adorned with portraits of all the Alpha's that have been before Theo.
My eyes snap back to the large door as I watch it slowly opening. Before I have a chance to process anything his scent hits me as unexpectedly as a car hits a pole. I feel his hand run along my chin sending sparks through my body, I stumble backwards confused and afraid.
I fall on butt, blushing like crazy I take Theo's hand. I can see a flicker of amusement pass through his eyes before they return to their normal emotionless green.
"Right this way Isabelle." His voice holds no emotion and as I hear him say my name my heart rate accelerates.
Is this what it is like to have a mate?
Theo directs me into a small dark room filled with books a desk and a couple of worn-out chairs.
"Please take a seat." I do as I'm told not wanting to disturb the Alpha. "There are a few things I have to ask of you." Again the same emotionless tone, my heart drops does he not want me?
"A-ask away."
Theo nods approvingly at my reply, "I would like to start off with some basics."
"O-okay."
"What is your full name?"
"Isabelle Comasin."
"No middle name?"
My parents didn't think I was worthy of one.
"N-no."
"What pack are you from?"
"T-the Dark Sky Pack." I say shaking at even the sound of their name.
I watch Theo intently as he begins typing away at his computer, his green eyes fixated on whatever is happening on the screen.
After what feels like an eternity Theo turns back to me, "Isabelle." He begins softly and instantly I shy away, he's going to reject me isn't he the words of my father echoing in the back of my mind.
'Isabelle Comasin is unworthy of a mate, a home, a pack and a family.'
"Y-yes Alpha."
"Please call me Theo."
"O-okay T-theo."
That has to be a good sign, I mean maybe he'll keep me as an omega.
I watch Theo as he sit thoughtfully for a moment before opening his mouth to continue, before he can I cut him off. "P-please don't reject me A-alpha Sir I-I can be useful I-I can cook a-and clean j-just please don't make me a r-rogue." I stutter falling to my knees in attempt to seem a little less pathetic.
Before I know what's happening to me I feel my body being hoisted up, my eyes meet Theo's I can feel him studying my face as I whimper quietly. He's going to reject me.
"Isabelle, you're mine." He growls out watching me.
"Y-you mean you're not r-rejecting me?"
"I would never reject you Isabelle, you have no idea how long I have been waiting for you."
I stare at this beautiful man, he's been waiting for me? Feeling my heart flutter for the millionth time I reply cautiously, "b-b-but I'm a w-weak omega."
"No, you're my beautiful mate and future Luna." Theo's voice is so sure so certain that I almost believe him.
'Isabelle Comasin is unworthy of a mate, a home, a pack and a family.'
"I-I could never be a L-luna."
"You were born to lead Belle." My brain starts spinning as I hear his words, 'you were born to lead' that's exactly what my father said.
"I-I was born to l-lead?" I question quietly.
"It's in your blood Belle, you are a-." Before Theo has time to finish his sentence the door swings open and I instantly seek shelter in Theo's chest. He welcomes me warmly growling at the man who interrupted us.
"Alpha I am very sorry to interrupt you but it's important." I feel Theo stiffen beside me as he contemplates his decision.
"What is it?" Theo growls at the man.
"B-bu-."
"But what James!?"
James, my mind jolts James is the one who saved me from death on the boarder.
"She's here." I can feel him looking at me and all of sudden I feel betrayed. This wolf who saved me is now casting me out and acting like I am outsider in front of my own mate.
"Anything you can say to me you can say in front of my mate."
I hear James sigh audibly. "it's the rogues they're getting closer and closer."
"They have always been getting closer its our job to keep them out."
"I know Alpha."
"Then why are you bothering me when I specifically asked to be left alone?" Theo's patience is wearing thin.
"They're asking for Isabelle." The moment those terrifying words reach my ears I run.
I have no clue where I'm going all I know is that I have to get out of here.

It's another update/edit. If any of you are reading this for the first you'll notice that nothing has changed, all I've done is fixed a few grammatical errors on my behalf. I am actually quite happy with the quality of this chapter and pleasantly surprised!
