Chapter 97 Seeing Bernardâs current state, Aidyn suddenly felt a bit worried.
The CEO had always been good at controlling his emotions, but because of Ms. Shultz, he had lost control several times already.
âMr. Laurence, you...â
Aidyn wanted to persuade him to let go since he had already broken up with Ms. Shultz. It would be good. for both him and her.
But saying such things seemed a bit harsh to the president.
After all, Ms. Shultz was Mr. Laurenceâs first girlfriend, and there must be feelings after so many years of companionship. It was impossible to let go easily.
Bernard glanced at the hesitant Aidyn, trying to calm himself down.
He hid the coldness in his eyes and threw the documents in his hand back to Aidyn.
âDestroy them,â he said with icy voice, void of any emotions, as if he had turned back into the indifferent president.
Aidyn looked at him and didnât say anything, just tossing the papers on the table into the shredder.
There was a knock on the door outside, and Bernard signaled Aidyn to open it.
âMr. Laurence.â
Grayer, who was in charge of the review, entered the office.
âThe bidding conference is over, and the reviewers unanimously voted for the Clowers Group.â
Grayer respectfully greeted Bernard and reported the results of the bidding conference.
âThe Clowers Group?â
Bernard sneered, his face a bit unpleasant.
Realizing that Bernard was unhappy with the Clowers Group, Grayer quickly added, âThe results havenât been announced yet. I came to ask you which group you plan to give the development rights to?â
âWhat about the bids from other groups?â
âHere.â
Grayer quickly handed the bids to Bernard. He didnât attend the meeting this afternoon, so he didnât know the situation of the other groups.
Grayer reported his work to him, and of course, he would bring the bidding documents from other groups in the afternoon.
Bernard quickly understood the plans of those groups after flipping through the files.
He returned the bids to Grayer and coldly said, âGive it to the Clowers Group.â
Although he had conflicts with Jason, the Clowers Group had the most potential in obtaining development rights.
He always acted fairly, not involving emotions. That was his persistence for so many years.
âIâll go to the venue and announce the results now.â
Chapter Seeing Bernardâs nod, Grayer left.
After announcing that the Clowers Group had won the development rights, people from the other groups were somewhat disappointed.
They originally thought that Bernard would not give the rights to the Clowers Group because of the conflict.
However, he only asked so many questions just to better understand the Clowers Groupâs strength.
Well, they lost. Everyone disappointedly left, except for Sophie who sat there, trembling with anger.
Bernard knew that she wanted the development rights, but he gave them to the Clowers Group.
He simply didnât care about her!
Sophie clenched her teeth and rushed to Bernardâs office area, wanting to confront him, but was stopped by security.
âSorry, maâam. This area is not open to the public.â

âDonât you know who I am?â
Sophieâs face turned pale with anger as she pointed at the security guard and yelled, âI am Bernardâs fiancee! How dare you stop me?!â
The security guard was startled, not expecting the woman in front of him to be Mr. Laurenceâs fiancee.
âIâm sorry, but without Mr. Laurenceâs permission, even if you are his fiancee, you cannot enter.â
The security guard was only surprised for a few seconds before regaining his composure. No matter who they were, without Mr. Laurenceâs permission, no one could enter!
âYou...â
