“I am not thirsty.” Jun Ye Rim responded, yet her tongue slightly poked and licked her dry lips.

“Okay. Then I will leave it on the nightstand beside you.” Ester placed the cup of water on the nightstand as she said and went to sit on a chair placed beside the bed.

Jun Ye Rim cautiously looked at Ester, smiling at her in a friendly manner. Her hand grabbed the cup of water after a staredown lasting a few awkward minutes passed.

“If you were thirsty, just say...”

“It’s not like I looked thirsty, but I felt bad for the water, so I decided to drink it.” Jun Ye Rim said.

“Sister. Did she wake up?” Iris asked before entering the bedroom.

Iris looked at Jun Ye Rim and frowned. She became angry and said, “Don’t move your arm like that. You are lucky we could tend to your arm. Goblins from my tribe would cut their arm off because it would be impossible to heal by itself.”

‘Iris is on fire this morning. Is it because Kazumi was still sleeping when Vincent and my sisters left?’ Ester pondered after becoming surprised to see Iris angry.

“Why do you people care? Why didn’t you kill me after finding out that I know your secret? After purifying the second soul inside Vincent?” Jun Ye Rim asked.

“The second soul named Kazumi managed to survive. That is the reason we aren’t hostile. But Vincent stayed alone for a long time yesterday after we decided what to do with you. After almost losing some dear to him, he had a lot to think about.” Ester informed. She crossed her arms and looked at Jun Ye Rim to respond if she tried any funny business.

“I accept death...”

“Vincent, Lilith, and I gave it our all to help you recover. We want to know why you hurt Kazumi. Why did you do this to us?” Iris interrupted Jun Ye Rim. Tears were welling in her eyes.

“I...” Jun Ye Rim felt guilty for her actions. “I want to explain, but I want to know first. Are you not going to give me a quick and painless death? You two are the family of the invader that brings death after all.”

*Sigh* Jun Ye Rim shook her head. She couldn’t understand what was so great about a womanizer like Vincent. Four women were too much in her eyes. Jun Ye Rim didn’t know about Sakura yet.

“It’s not like you convinced me to believe you, but since both of you are forcing me to speak, then I am forced to speak.” Jun Ye Rim accepted to talk in an unusual manner.

Jun Ye Rim revealed how Vincent’s guess was on the mark.
