345 The guests begin to arrive

Leonis and Teresa mentioned that only four noble families were invited to attend. They are the Sunrise, the Graymoon, the Reddawn, and the Griffinheart families. Additionally, only Duke Biro Hawkins and his wife are going to attend out of all the Hawkins family.

It was Vincent’s turn to mention how he invited three families to attend. The family of the two seamstresses working with Fabio and the family of vice captain Ben. Vincent didn’t invite many people, but he mentioned they were good people.

Lilith’s parents pondered for a couple of seconds and replied positively. Both of them didn’t mind as Vincent surely wouldn’t invite enemies to his wedding. He would only invite people he could trust.

The last subject they discussed was nobility.

Lilith was going to remain a noble without a rank because she married before attending the Noble Academy and lost her Baroness title in the process.

Vincent was going to experience the same situation. Only after he finishes the Noble Academy could he, depending on his behavior and achievements, become a Baron, which is the starting point of noble ranking.

The second method which will incur the wrath of malicious rumors is the title inheritance method. If Vincent is the successor of the Lionheart family, then he could inherit the Baron title if the current head of the main family passes away.

Leonis observed Vincent’s reaction. He tried to guess what was passing in Vincent’s mind after mentioning his death and the inheritance of the Baron title.

Leonis wanted to see if Vincent was hiding his real intentions until the last moment. However, to his surprise, Vincent said, “I don’t care about ranks and noble politics. I wanted to become a noble, and I was fortunate enough to find a good woman.”

“I will be known as the man who married into nobility.” Vincent looked at Lilith and continued, “while my wife Lilith will be known as the widow who married a commoner.”

Vincent looked at Leonis and Teresa and said, “Living with low nobility standing is fine for me personally. My goal is to live a good life and travel the world. Wealth only attracts attention.”

*Sigh* Leonis didn’t seem happy with hearing how Vincent was going to take his daughter to travel the world as it is dangerous.

However, Leonis kept his mouth shut when he didn’t see his daughter unhappy. Leonis wanted to let his daughter live the life she wanted after ten years of suffering. He felt guilty that he could do nothing to save his daughter after the business scam deal he signed with the Blackheart family.

[I think you said enough to tell them about attending the academy for one academic year.]

Vincent drank his tea and looked at Lilith’s parents. “We decided to attend the academy, but only for one academic year. I want to read the academy’s books and learn the basics from teachers who teach nobles. I want to see from there if I want to start a business or become an adventurer and travel the world with my wives.”

*Gulp* Vincent felt nervous. He didn’t know what kind of response Lilith’s parents were going to say.

Leonis and Teresa stared at Vincent. Both looked at Lilith next, and they saw her respond with a smile.

*Sigh* “Yes...” Leonis didn’t look too happy about Vincent’s answer.

Teresa looked at her daughter and held her hands. “My little angel can do what her heart desires because not everyone can be happy as a noble. Please stay safe and wait until we go to dragon heaven to become a Baroness. ” Teresa spoke warmly and supported what Lilith decided to do.

However, Lilith became unhappy to hear about her death on this memorable day. She was both happy and sad about her mother’s choice of words about being supportive yet later mentioned her death.

“Ahem.” Leonis cleared his throat to garner attention. “So, when will my little angel awaken a class as promised?”

[Leonis doesn’t know of your real identity. Only his wife does. It’s funny to see Teresa supporting us while Leonis is trying to understand what is happening since he is out of the loop.]

-What moment should I pick, though? His question is rather interesting.-

[My choice is the moment of marriage.]

Vincent raised a confident smirk to show he was certain Lilith was going to awaken a class. “At the most important moment.” He replied with a short and vague answer.

*Knock, Knock* “The owner of Fabioso Fabric Company and his seamstresses have arrived.”

Teresa looked at her daughter. “Let’s go together, my little angel.” She slowly stood up and extended her hand to walk together with her daughter.

Leonis looked at Vincent. “Let’s go together too. I can’t let you meet my daughter in her wedding dress. It will bring bad luck.” He stood up, and it seemed he wasn’t going to let Vincent out of his sight today.

Leonis approached Vincent and said, “I need to teach you manners. I can’t let my son-in-law embarrass us in front of my friends and not after what they have done to help us in these last few hectic days.”

[Leonis is right, they helped enough for us to live as if nothing happened. We should thank them respectfully.

-Yeah. I would need to the what I hate to do the most and forcefully use Retainer Bond on him and hope he gets accepted by the mysterious standards of the hero retainer system.-

Vincent followed Leonis while Lilith followed Teresa.

Vincent was to try out his suit, learn to greet nobles with etiquette, and later greet the guests when they arrived. On the other hand, Lilith was to remain in her previous large bedroom with Ester, Lupa, Iris, and Sakura to have their dresses fitted and practice being escorted down the aisle.

Leah, Clara, Beth, and Olive were to become the flower girls while Lian was to become the ring bearer.

Tula complained as she also wanted to become a flower girl, but her body was too old to be one. However, the unhappy Tula soon became happy. Yula asked Teresa and all the five brides if her daughter could become the bridesmaid for all the five brides.

Similarly, Vincent asked the twins to be his best men. Both accepted happily.

*Day 76 – Night*

Night arrived, and Vincent waited for the guests with Leonis in the entrance area.

Vincent wore a luxurious tuxedo. A golden embroidery of a lion’s head was on his chest pocket, and inside the chest pocket was a golden silk handkerchief. His necktie was also golden-colored.

“Announcing! Oliveros, Beatrix, Belowin, Abigail, and Bartholomew have arrived.” The old butler announced. Beside him were two hobgoblin butlers to assist him.

The five former BABBO team members entered and saw Vincent wearing a tuxedo. Ollie, Belowin, and Bartholomew wore clean formal attire, yet the quality between Vincent’s and their suit was like night and day.

On the other hand, Abigail and Beatrix, with the snake PeePee on her shoulder appearing like a scarf from afar, wore an elegant fitted dress. They looked attractive.

Vincent and Leonis greeted the five guests. After they greeted each other and congratulated Vincent for his marriage, a butler escorted them to a room where they could write a message and leave their gifts there. Later there were escorted to the garden, where it was well decorated. There were also chairs, tables, and refreshments for the guests to enjoy.

“Announcing! Members of the Sunrise family, Lord Byron Sunrise, and Lord Vopor Sunrise have arrived.” The old butler announced next.

[Who would’ve thought you would become a noble. I think Byron and Vopor were surprised to hear you are going to become one, hehe.]

Vincent and Leonis went to greet the Sunrise family. Both father and son walked towards them at a quickened pace. They smacked both their backs and extended their hands for a handshake. It was quite an unusual greeting.

“We are friends, haha. There is no need for noble etiquette with us, haha.” Byron spoke happily, as if his son was the one who was about to marry.

*Sigh* Leonis lightly blushed yet remained grumpy.

Vincent extended his hand to shake Byron’s hand. “Thank you for fixing buildings in our property, improving the wall, and building us a workshop. ” Vincent bowed his head and thanked.

“Don’t worry, lad. It is a little thing for not researching why my friend Leonis suddenly changed and didn’t want to meet often, and when we would meet, we meet for about ten minutes.” Byron shook Vincent’s hand and looked at Leonis. “Now, my friend looks better thanks to your appearance and saving his daughter.”

*Humph* “I have nothing in the end. My little angel is not going to live with us.” Leonis grumpily looked at Vincent. “He stole my little angel for me.”

Byron placed his arm on Leonis’s shoulder. “Lose a daughter, haha. My friend, you are gaining a new good son. Vincent helped my son a lot. Making a bond with his first familiar made a few families envious of my son, haha.” Byron led Leonis to a nearby room, where he joked and teased Leonis.

“Vincent, I am sorry my father isn’t acting like a noble.” Vopor apologized. He raised a smile and continued, “Cyke wanted to come and see you. He was sad when he heard he couldn’t come. I heard him say something about proving himself.”
