Author's POV

Arabella was in her dorm, looking at her neck in the mirror which had Arthur's handprints on it.

"Who managed to get your neck?"

Her room mate asked amused.

"A rare sight to see."

Arabella didn't answer the question.

"Why aren't you in training, Ombre?"

Ombre sat on her bed while taking off her shoes.

"It ended quickly in mourn of our hundred assassins. People are saying that you sacrificed them to save Knights... Your love saga is famous among trainees."

"I didn't sacrifice anyone. I wasn't incharge."

She replied while taking off her gloves.

"You can lie to whole campus but not me and Mosa. You could have easily drain Knight brothers alone but you chose not to. What should we think about it?"

Ombre asked.

"Do you still have feelings for them? Arabella, you know that Rancho will kill you if you have feelings for them."

Arabella looked at her through mirror.

"If I say that I don't have feelings for anyone then you should not bring out the topic again and again..."

Ombre felt bad for her.

"Then why have you forgotten how to smile? You devoted all your five years just to make yourself perfect in martial arts. And you did, Rancho now doesn't have a more powerful fighter than you... You are one step close to becoming class A fighter, the greatest of all but you are failing just because you didn't kill Knight brothers... Are you really that typical lover who wants to do great sacrifice for your love... You are not heartless, you are just pretending it."

Arabella was about to answer but stopped when housekeeping knocked on the door.

"Rancho has called you two in the meeting hall, urgently."

Arabella got up and grabbed her gun while Ombre frowned.

"It must be something big, he hardly calls urgent meetings."

They went to the meeting hall and Rancho welcomed them.

"Welcome our two heroes."

He mocked and all trainees were looking at both of them.

"You called us!"

Arabella asked, keeping herself unfazed by his psychotic acting.

"As if you don't know..."

He gritted.

"Mosa has very bravely taken the decision of running away from the campus."

Ombre gasped.

"No! She can't do this."

Rancho looked at her amused.

"You better keep your mouth shut, Ombre... You are good for nothing in martial arts anyways... Sadly I will loose three more fighters today..."

"No, Rancho... We don't have any involvement in this, we were unaware of her decision. I agree that we are roommates but we have no idea about it."

Ombre was hiding her panic behind her straight face, she knows that Rancho is a psycho and can do anything.

"I don't trust you, let's ask the wise person here..."

He smirked at Arabella.

"She never lies to me. Isn't it, my Beautiful Lion?"

"Mosa is young, she might have taken the decision impulsively..."

Arabella replied but Rancho wasn't buying it.

He grabbed her collar furiously and Arabella looked at his hold on her chest and his psychotic eyes. Ombre looked away disgusted, Rancho doesn't have a sense to deal with girls.

He was literally holding her dignity in his clutches.

"I don't give a fuck about her impulsive decisions, I have rules here... And the most important rule is, the one who tries to escape, dies... So if you are not involved in this then go and kill Mosa, bury her in my cemetery and if not then I am going to kill her along with you two."

He let her collar go and fixed it with victorious smile.

"No! Rancho, please reconsider it... Mosa is young, she must have got scared... Please give her one more chance, you can't kill her..."

Ombre started begging.

"Arabella, you can leave!"

Rancho ignored Ombre and ordered her.

"No!"

Ombre grabbed Arabella's hand.

"Please try to talk to him, say no!"

She didn't let her go.

Rancho ordered other members to hold Ombre back.

"No, Arabella. Mosa is our friend, please don't kill her... She is young."

Arabella grabbed her gun and turned to leave.

"Rules are rules, Ombre... Mosa break the rule even after knowing the consequences."

She walked out and Rancho sent two more fighters with her to check if she is really killing her.

Mosa was running in forest, trying to get out of the place as soon as possible. She gasped and halted in her place when Arabella blocked her path.

"Arabella?"

"Why would you do this, Mosa?"

Arabella asked, her face was straight but eyes were filled with pain.

"I can't do this anymore, Arabella... I am tired. I want freedom."

Mosa cried.

"Rancho is a monster, I can't leave like this... This fighting, martial arts and killing is not my thing. It haunts me in dreams..."

"I have no choice!"

Arabella unlocked her gun and pointed towards her.

"You are my friend and you are setting me free then I am okay with it."

She smiled bitterly and closed her eyes until the bullet hit her chest, and she collided with the ground.

Arabella scooped her body in her arms and carried it towards the cemetery. The two men opened the coffin and she placed Mosa in it, they buried the coffin and went back to campus.

"Inform Rancho that it's done."

The men ordered the other one.

When Arabella went back to her dorm, Ombre slapped her.

"You bitch! She was our friend and you didn't even shed tear for her."

She spat hatefully.

"How ruthless you can be? You didn't even beg him once to forgive her... Forget about me but Mosa loved you more than anything. She trusted you. You betrayed us, you betrayed us for Rancho... Mosa might forgive you but I'll never do that... I am going to make your life hell for this, just wait and watch!"

Arabella didn't even reply to her and went back to her bed. Ombre scowled at her disgusted, not believing that she is not even feeling guilty.

Ombre cried until she fell asleep.

Arabella opened her eyes and looked at her, she got up without making any noise and pressed the pressure point on her neck which would knock her out till morning.

When she was sure that Ombre isn't going to wake up, she climbed down the window and went to cemetery.

She quickly dug Mosa's grave and opened the coffin.

"Good that you are still breathing."

She looked at Mosa.

Mosa smiled and gave Arabella her hand so she could pull her up.

"Thanks to you, practice holding breath for hours finally helped..."

She took off her bullet proof jacket.

"This is too hot."

Mosa turned towards Arabella and hugged her tightly.

"Thank you so for planning all this, you set me free while risking your own life."
