Author's POV
Men came back in the evening and Rose was sitting in the living room.
"You almost finished the book... Sitting in one place is really boring for you, isn't It?"
Damian chuckled and kissed her head.
"How's your foot?"
"Better!"
Rose smiled.
Cami handed water glass to Damian.
"Where is Arabella, Mr. Damian?"
She looked around to find the girl.
"What do you mean?"
Damian frowned.
Arthur and Oliver got alert.
"Where is she?"
"I asked her to deliver the file to you... I thought she stayed there with you."
Rose explained.
"No, Mom... She didn't come to us..."
Oliver grew worried.
"If she didn't come to us then where is she?"
Arthur looked at Oliver worriedly.
"Did she got lost in the forest? It's dangerous and it getting dark also."
Damian looked out.
"We are going there to look for her."
Both of them rushed out.
"Where did she go?"
Damian cursed.
"I don't know. She said she knows the way."
Rose shrugged and looked at her book with smirk.
"Arabella!"
Brothers went to the forest to look for her.
They searched her everywhere but she wasn't responding.
"Where the hell is she?"
Arthur growled frustrated.
"She is not in the Orphanage."
Oliver informed while disconnecting the call.
They searched her for almost an hour, they were worried to guts.
"I should have put trackers on her."
Oliver groaned frustrated.
Arthur froze.
"Wait! I had given her Rosetta's shoes. Dad had put the trackers in all her shoes, if she is wearing those shoes then we can track her."
"Then I hope she is wearing it... I'll call dad!"
Oliver called Damian hurriedly.
"Dad, I need you to track Rosetta's shoes, Arabella was wearing them."
Damian checked it and he saw two spots where the tracker was live. One was Rosetta's location and one was Arabella's location in the forest. He guided them towards the spot and they started looking for her.
They finally came accross the big hole on the ground which was probably for wild animals and saw her laying unconscious in it.
"Arthur, I found her."
Oliver quickly jumped down and checked on her.
"Kitten?"
He patted her cheek but she was passed out.
"Fuck!"
He quickly picked her up and handed to Arthur so he can come out.
"Dove?"
Arthur placed her on the ground and sprinkled water on her face.
Arabella groaned in pain and slowly opened her eyes.
"Kitten, are you okay?"
Oliver helped her to sit.
She noticed him and started sobbing. He pulled her in hug and rubbed her back until she calmed down.
Arthur wiped her tears.
"What happened with you? How did you end up here?"
She looked around confused.
"Rose ma'am told me to give you the file, so I was on my way but the walkway was blocked by the tree branches. I decided to take the small path but then saw this hole. I was standing beside it to look for the way but then someone pushed me inside it."
"Someone pushed you?"
Oliver frowned.
"Who? Do you remember anything?"
"No! I didn't see anyone but I am sure that someone pushed me."
She looked around.
"I fell inside with the file... Oh my god! Where is the file?"
She panicked.
"Ma'am told me that it's important file and I lost it..."
"It's okay!"
Arthur calmed her down.
"You are more important than the file... Don't worry about it."
He pulled her in a hug. She was scared, her body was shaking.
He picked her up and carried towards the house.
Thankfully she was fine and no limbs were broken.
"Jesus Christ! What happened to you?"
Cami checked on her when Arthur placed her down.
"I am fine!"
Arabella fixed her dress and looked at Rose who was sitting in front of her with crossed legs.
"I am sorry, Ma'am... I lost the file."
She looked down embarrassed.
Rose got up while closing the book.
"As expected."
Arabella watched her as she walked upstairs, by her walk it didn't feel like her foot was injured, was she faking it? She frowned but ignored it.
"Go to your room and call me if you need anything."
Cami patted her back.
Arabella nodded and went to her room.
"She is saying that someone pushed her... What are your thoughts on it?"
Damian asked while changing his clothes.
Rose was changing the bandage of her ankle.
"File is gone so she must be telling the truth... You think our enemies are not keeping eyes on us?"
"But that file didn't have any sensitive information. Why would anyone take it?"
He questioned.
"Any information from the enemy is useful and Delgados knows it."
She twisted her ankle and got up.
"Anyways, the girl is alive and that's what matters."
"True that!"
He agreed.
Rose opened the drawer and looked at the file which Arabella lost.
Arabella showered and got into the bed. She was turning and twisting, not able to sleep alone.
After sometime the door opened and Arthur came in with food.
"Chief?"
She sat up.
"You didn't eat anything..."
He sat beside her.
"I am not hungry..."
She smiled at the plate.
"But thank you... You are probably the first one who has thought about bringing food for me."
The door opened again and Oliver entered with the one more food tray.
"Or probably the one person out of two who brought food for me."
She chuckled when Oliver sat on the other side.
Both of them sat silently beside her, they weren't fighting.
"You need to eat. You might be not feeling hungry because of trauma but your body needs it and that's why you are not able to sleep."
Oliver tucked a strand behind her ear.
"I am not hungry. Really!"
She whined.
"You start eating and we will decide that you are hungry or not."
Arthur grabbed the plate.
She started eating and they looked at each other amused when she finished both plates and the juice too.
"You were really not hungry. We got it!"
Oliver chuckled.
After some time she started feeling droopy and brothers wanted to stay there but couldn't.
They got up to leave but she grabbed their hands.
"Can you two sleep here tonight? I am feeling scared."
She requested.
They both looked at each other and then at her.
