Hina glares at Sana and says, don't you have some work to do... beta?
She fake smiled walked towards them, holding her wrist tightly, imprinting her finger prints on her skin while Sid looks at her face in confusion.
Sid- Who is she?
Hina- No-no one, actually she's my jethani's daughter. You know they aren't there anymore so we take care of her.
Sid stares at Sana who was petrified, his eyes were wandering on the wound.
Sana quickly went inside while Hina pulled Sid inside and tried to talk but he was quiet.
Sid- Mom, you know Raima aunty has a daughter?
His mother jumped and said- What? Really? I thought she had no kids?
Hina and Riya stared at shock, trying to think of a lie. When Ayaan said- Haan, Sana didi haina!
His mother looked at Hina and said- You never told me?
Hina shuttered and said- It's just that I didnt want people to think bad of her you know.
Sid's mom- I want to meet her right now!
Hina- she's busy-
Sid- Call Sana aunty.
Hina angrily sighs and shouts, Sana!!!!
Sana scared comes hiding her face in a veil and walks towards the family.
The mother stares at the scene in shock and thinks- who at this century keeps a veil like this?
She picks up the veil and gasps.
So beautiful, she murmurs.
You look just like my bestfriend, my soulmate. You got her eyes.
Tears gush out of Sana's eyes hearing about someone talking about the existence of her parents.
Sid's mom also gets emotional and hugs her tightly.
She cries and says- I could never get myself to see her again. I felt like I lost her, but I didn't. I have her in you.
This was Sana's first hug in 18 years.
Sid felt some weird feelings when he saw Sana crying, he shook his head and thought it's watching his mother cry.
After 20 minutes of hugging, she makes Sana sit down on the sofa while Hina and Riya seethes.
She was actually about to sit down on the ground which Sid found weird.
His mother held her hand and looked at Hina and said- I'm taking Sana with me for a few days. I will catch up with her, with the fact I haven't seen her ever.
Hina suddenly shouts- NO! Then who will do the housework???
His mother- what?
Hina gulps and says- I mean she loves this house, doesn't even go on vacations so-
Hina then looks at Sana with a warning eye and says- You want to go?
Sana gets scared and shakes her head looking down.
His mother- Ohh! Don't worry! That's your house too, I really want to catch up. Sana, you're coming that's it.
Riya huffs while Hina fists her hand in anger.
Sana shakes her head wanting to say something but Sid says- Go go pack your bag, if my mom wants something it has to happen or else she will get the house on her head.
His mother rolls his eyes while Sana looks at Hina for approval who glares at her but then masks it with a fake smile and says, come lemme help you.
Inside the room, Hina grabs her by her hand and says- If you utter any word, I'll kill you in pieces, don't forget how will I burn your skin again.
Sana cries in pain and says- Ma-Ma-Mai kuch nahi bolungi chachi.
Sana keeps her 3 clothes which she wears in rotation and comes out holding an old tattered bag, which Sid notices but doesn't says anything.
They exchange pleasantries and Sana sits in the car with Sid in the front while his parents come in another with the driver.
Sid- Wear your seatbelt.
Sana looks at him dumb founded.
Sid- Seatbelt?
Sana looks down holding her fingers tightly embarrassed not knowing.
Sid leans forward, making her hitch her breath, as he pulls a seat belt, while looking at her face from a proximity and clink; he locks it.
Sid- Seat belt madam.
Sana- Woh- Woh I don't know about it a lot, I haven't been in a car...
Sid- WHAT????!
Sana looks down, Sid is about to say something when she looks out which means no conversation.
His mind is clouded with a lot of thoughts of the day so he doesn't says anything and drives.
They stop infront of a big villa, his mother comes holding her hand and says- Come I'll take you to your room.
Sana stares at the house in awe, his mother opens a room and her jaw drops internally.
Mother- This is your room beta.
Sana- M-m- mera?
Mother smiles and says- Hot water aarha hai uss tap mei, take a shower; and come down for dinner.
Sana is still shook, she sees the bathroom with awe. She used to shower in the servant quarter so doesn't know how to use the shower.
She as a child clicks on a button and the shower opens drenching her.
She gets shocked and tries to close it but the pressure increases.
Just when Sid comes in to keep her bag and hears her little screams.
He runs and bursts out laughing as he sees Sana trying to use her little hands to stop the shower by the big nozzle, but she can't cover the holes.
Sid- what are you doing ahhahahaha?
Sana is embarrassed but whines and says- Yeh bandh nahi horrha aap dikheye na!!
Sid shakes his head and walks confidently when he slips because of the water and falls flat on the ground making Sana look at him in suprise and then she burst out laughing and says- OMGMGMM HAHHAHAHA!
Sid looks at her fake angry but his expressions softens as he watches her laugh, her laughter feeling like a soft tune while she gets drenched.
Sid shakes his head and shuts it off.
Sid- yeh wale button se off hota hai okay?
Now change quickly and come down for dinner.
Sana nods and Sid walks out smiling softly.
Sana changes and walks down going to the kitchen.
His mother catches her and says- what? Where are you going?
Sana like a child says- Dinner?
Mother- Haan so table?
Sana- Mai bhi?
Mother- Huh? Ofcourse? Tum kya niche baithkar khaaungi kya?
She laughs but her laughter dies down looking at Sana's serious expression.
She makes her sit down and says- Today there's Mutton kadayi, your mom used to looove it.
Sid sits next to her as they start to eat.
Sana takes the first bite and tears fall of her eyes, it was her first proper meal in years.
Mother looks at her worried and says- what happened beta?
Sana- N-nothing! Just it's so yummy!
She chuckles along with Sid and his dad who smile at her innocence and eat.
After desserts, his mother pull her inside Sana's room sitting and starts to talk.
Telling her about her mother, how she was like the don of the group.
She was the heart of their group, the fearless, bold and the strongest girl.
Sana's eyes water as she mentally realises she isn't anything like her mother.
Sana- do you know my parents love story?
Mother- Ofcourse! Colleagues, archeologists! God they were so dramatic they told us like they travelled back to the Akbar era and all that! They were that dramatic! From enemies to lovers! Craziest story ever!
Sana looked at his mother with awe and her eyes twinkling as this was the first time someone was talking about her parents.
Her mother told her the whole story and she giggled, the first time in a while she laughed today.
Mother- Now it's very late, you sleep baccha! We will continue this tomorrow. Okay? Sleep now.
Sana nodded and shut the lights and for the first time she sighed- her back used to hurt because of the wood, now she felt like she was on the clouds. She closed her eyes with a soft smile and slept.
Around 4:30 AM,
She woke up with panic washing over her, she cursed herself for over sleeping.
She rushed down but it hit her, she wasn't at her house. Here she didn't have to wake up early and cook.
She sighed walked towards the kitchen to get some warm milk for herself when she saw a little light on.
She took her milk and walked towards the light and saw Sid working, he was in his same dinner clothes that meant he didn't sleep.
Sid felt someone's eyes on him, he looked up and saw a shy Sana looking down.
Sid- You couldn't sleep?
Sana- No usually I wake up at 4 am everyday to work-
Sid- to work out?
Sana- y-yes.
Sid squinted his eyes and says- Suit mei pehli baar dekha hai kiski workout karte dekh.
Sana gulps and says- Aaap soye nahi?
Sid- Naah, so much work.
Sana nods and then looks at him and slowly keeps the milk infront of him.
Sana- drink, whenever I feel anxious and can't sleep I drink this.
Sid looks at her taken aback thinking how does she know?
Sana is about to walk away when he grabs her hand and she winces.
Sid looks confused and is about to look at her wrist when she pulls it away hiding.
Sid- Sorry!
Sana- it's okay!
Sid smiles and says- go sleep, you aren't at your house, you're at mine right now. Sleep! And if you wake up before 12pm tomorrow then you see.
Sana gasped as he said the most illegal thing ever.
Sana- Kyu- woh?
Sid walks up and keeps his index finger on her lips making her freeze.
Sid- Yeh question apne sir par kyu rakhti ho? Yeh humare ghar ka rule hai! Tomorrow is Sunday no one is awake before 12PM! So sleep okay?
Sana nods as he removes his finger.
He pats her head softly and says- Good girl.
Her heart beat loudly.
She remembered today's conversation with his mother where she asked- will anyone love me like my father did to my mom?
