Sana stared at the boy infront of her with her eyes welled up.
The boy was again in the hospital but this time so worse, so worse. His face was bruised up, his eyes were swollen and there was a mirror piece on the side and his hands were all blooded.
Sana gulped as she treated the unconscious little boy.
Today was the last day of her internship, the last patient of her tenture. Today she would know if she made it or not. She didn't care if she didn't, her mind was right now about this boy who was lying infront of him.
She got him treated but even though she had to change and hear the results, she held the kids hand and sat there softly weeping.
Perks or um maybe not so perks of having a soft heart.
She softly rubbed his baby bruised hands remembering what the nurse told her about him. This boy was born out of wedlock, the father left the woman and because she didn't have money to abort she had to conceive. She was about to throw him but there was this government scheme for single mother for some income so she held on to him. But everyday she would drink and hit the boy and throw him out of the house in cold. He never ever ever experienced love, he never saw a full course meal, he never wore good clothes, he never had- had a name. The woman would hit him with the bottle until he would whimper under her and faint. She would drag him by the collar and- stop stop- ( sana cried and whispered)
She stared at the boy with something bubbling in him.
She nervously tapped her foot thinking about this huge decision.
Sana who was a firm believer of signs closed her eyes and whispered universe one sign that I'm going on the right path regarding this.
She looked at the boy squirming in sleep with her heart a havoc.
Suddenly she heard a voice of a nurse saying- Congratulations! You have a boy now. You are mother of a little cute boy!
Her heart stopped.
Tears went streaming down her cheeks and she held her face and sobbed.
This was it. This is it. This whole thing was surely written and it's a huge sign from the universe for her to adopt him.
She got him and kissed his forehead softly and very carefully carressed his cheek and whispered my son.
Suddenly a nurse came in and said- Doctor Sana, Doctor Sid and the team is looking for you please go.
Sana nodded and got up, giving the boy a last soft kiss on his forehead she hugged her coat tightly and walked towards the interns room. She entered and already saw the atmosphere tense.
She didn't look up at Sid who had his dark gaze on her, she stood with her peers holding her hand tightly and thinking about the previous decision with a smile.
Her mind was somewhere else that she didn't pay attention to what Sid was saying.
Suddenly she heard claps, she too quickly clapped and saw Rahil looking at her weirdly.
Sana thought Rahil got the job and hes offended that she didn't wish him so she quickly started wishing him- I am so proud of you Rahil, I know you were so hard working-
Sid's voice cut her in- Ms GIll are you playing with us? You are the one who got selected.
Sana froze and stared at the man infront of her who looked at her with amusement dancing in his eyes.
Sana like a child pointed at herself and whispered- Me-Me?
Sid smiled and nodded.
Her heart started beating so fast with this weird happiness running through her veins.
She did it. She became a doctor. She did it.
Flashback
Sid turned and looked at sana- I am going to become a doctor.
Sana- Huh?
He smiled and her and walked away.
Sana looked up at the sky with a soft smile playing on her lips- Doctor. If it's meant to be, you would see me in the coat next to you sid.. if it's meant to be.
And hence, it was meant to be.
Sana shook hands with sid as he said- Ms gill has been working extra than anyone else, has been doing all her tasks into perfections and that's what we needed. Along with a hint of her crying for the patients.
Everyone chuckled while Sana pouted.
Sid- Give me your coat!
Sana held it tightly and said- What why? Hey! You just said I am now a full time doctor you can't-
Sid rolled his eyes and said- That was the internship one, I need to give you the new one bab- ahem ahem I mean miss gill.
Sana blushed at his slip out but nodded anyhow.
Sid made her wear the new coat and sana, was on the moon.
After so many years of sacrifices, to be here with her love of her life making her wear the white beautiful coat did make her feel so good.
As sana was alone in the room, packing her stuff she thought about talking to Sid. What if he refuses..!?
She shook her head and was about to turn when she felt two warm hands on her waist and a hot breath fanning on her neck making her gasp in suprise.
Sana- Dont do it right now sid, anyone would see us.
Sid- No one would. They all have gone,you know right that this is just for the interns so it's only you here.
He turned her and forced her back to collide with the wall and grabbed her hands licking her into a position.
Her eyes widened as she looked at him in shock.
Sid bent down closer to her lips and said, the day I saw you wearing that coat with your hair all messy, god how much I wanted to kiss you that moment until your lips swell in my love.
He placed his thumb on her lips and rubbed it while staring at it.
Sid- I knew you would do it. I knew you would become a doctor one day and see me, that's why that day the only thing I said was this.
Sana blushed furiously and looked down.
Sid- Baby look up, only I can look down.
Her eyes widened again at his double meaning jokes, she hit him on his shoulder as he chuckled.
Sid looked at her and said- Fuck it.
Sana- Huh-
His lips landed on hers in a hurry, in an urgency. So many years later they finally knew what they tasted like and they felt as if that's the only thing they ever want to taste. His lips perfectly molded against hers, his tongue circled her whole mouth and tangled up with hers as butterflies were dancing in their stomach.
He grabbed the back of her neck pulling her even further while she forcefully grabbed the collars of his shirt making him even close that he is before.
He removes his lips and starts to plant it on her neck making her gasp in happiness.
His lips try to paint on hers like a brush on a canvas, when he hits her sweet spot making her moan in delight and him even turned on.
He very darkly whispers on her skin- Princess don't moan so loudly only if you want to get your new coat ripped up.
Sana turned red and looked down in embarrassment and quickly pushed him away.
Sana- I'm hungry let's go!
Sid- Wait I'm not done yet!
Sana glared at him to which he pouted and followed her out like a puppy.
They sat down and Sana very quietly was eating the food which was weird for Sid.
He grabbed her hand which made her look up and he said- WHATS wrong my love?
Sana gulped and the tone he used so so so soft that it made her tear up.
Sid quickly got up and cupped her cheek and sat down on one knee not caring that the other people thought of him.
He whispered- Tell me baby! What's bothering you?
Sana- Do you- do you remember that boy? That boy.. who I cried about?
Sid- Baby you cried about 50 boys till now!
Sana slapped his head and he chuckled.
Sid- Sorry sorry! You mean the little precious human who had never eaten a full meal?
Sana quickly nodded her head.
Sana- I- I- I was-
Sana closed her eyes and thought here goes nothing.
Sana- I WAS THINKING TO ADOPT HIM!
Silence was all she heard.
She slowly opened her eyes and looked at sid who just looked at her.
Sana- Stop scaring me! Please tell me !
Sid- Are you doing this because I am-
Sana- OH GOD HELL NO! You know me! I had this weird connection with him Sid- something tells me as if it is meant to be.. just with you. I even got a sign.
Sid sniffed now.
Sid- I- oh god. Even I felt the same with him, and I was waiting for a sign too. Like a confirmation. And then you said it.
Sana broke down as they hugged each other.
It was all aligned.
Sid sat down and smiled at her.
Sid- Should we order some wine? For celebrating our son?
Sana slowly said- Our son. Woah that sounds so beautiful.
That night they drank and laughed.
( 5 years later)
Sana held Manan on her lap and said- So Na fir I put some seeds on my bald teachers head and then Ken uncle poured some water on him and we waited for some hair to grow... but nothing?
The boy laughed loudly as he held tightly to his mom.
Suddenly they heard a booming voice- MANAN!!!!' WHAT DID YOU DO?!!!
A very angry Sid came in holding a sheet of paper.
Sana grabbed him very protectively and said- WHATS wrong? And why are you shouting on him?
Sid- He forged our signs on this sheet given by the teachers.
Sana- Impossible! My baby can't do that!
Sid crossed his arms and said- YOUR BABY DID IT! Read it.
Sana took the paper while the father son duo shared a look.
Sana- This is to certify that-
She froze, her hands shook.
That.. Manan is now legally Sid and Sana's child. 5 long years of fight with the mother and the world.
Sana broke down crying and held the little grinning boy in her arms as sid got emotional too.
He hugged them in a bear hug and the boy said- I am so happy that you both are my parents.
Sana with a smile said- we didn't choose you my love, you chose us. Thankyou for choosing us.
The boy snuggled in Sana and closed his eyes in a happy sigh feeing protected while Sana smiled at sid with a teary smile and whispered- I love you.
They both were sitting in their garden and sipping up the wine celebrating when Sid said.
Sid- This whole journey was so weird but so beautiful. If we imagine us like two characters, one head boy and other the troublemaker and then them the most responsible doctors and then them getting married and being parents. It's so crazy!
Sana nodded with a smile and said- I don't get it how people look down upon adopting. It's one of the most beautiful thing you could do. What's up with this blood thing? Do you know a lot of parents don't even have the matching blood to give to their child in need, then what's the use of obsessing about blood? What matters is you being a parent. They would spend so much on IVF, but wouldn't give a new life to a child? There are thousand children who would kill to have a good night kiss or to snuggle in some one. And if they adopt they would want a new born only? Why? Why not someone who is a little broken but would be mended by you? These kids die for just one chance, where they could say the word Mom or dad. I don't know why Sid! Why!
Sid softly rubbed her back nodding.
Sid- By the way do you remember the way I proposed?
Sana suddenly burst out laughing and nodded.
( Flasback)
Sana was working and checking on a patient when a nurse came running and said- MAAM! Sid- doctor Sid! He's in the emergency room!
Sana's eyes widened as she rushed to the room and saw Sid on the bed holding his heart with whimpers.
Sana held his hand and said- What happened?
She quickly wore her stethoscope and checked his heart beat- a little fast but okay?
Sana checked his eyes- it's okay?
Sid- My chest- my chest!
Sana quickly opened his buttons and stopped.
He had TAPPED A BIG DIAMOND RING ON IT AND HAD WRITTEN- Will you marry me?
Sana looked at Sid in disbelief when the nurses gathered around her and started to chant- SAY YES SAY YES.
Just then she felt a tug and saw Manan holding her pant and said - Say yes!!!
Sana gulped and looked at him and said- I hate you for scaring me! But I love you! I love you and-
A old patient said- PLS SOMEONE COME I THINK I SHITTED ON THE BED.
Sana and Sid froze and then burst out laughing shaking their heads.

Sana- How crazy it was! I really was scared that something would have happened to you.
Sid- nothing could and would until I have you.
Sana grinned and kissed his lips softly.
Sid- Sorry babe wrong move!
He quickly grabbed Sana and ran to the room while Sana laughed loudly.
Sid-DOCTOR SANA, I NEED TO CHECK YOU UP FOR TONIGHT!
Sana giggled as sid started to kiss her urgently.
Their Cupid looked at them with awe as thought- Okay so this one of their is complete. What would be the next one?
He picked up his phone and played-
