Sana's eyes widens and she softly says- excuse me? Can you get up? I am getting crushed here.
Sid quickly shook his head and got up while looking down trying to cover his red cheeks.
Sid cleared his throat and forwarded his hand and said- I am young mas- Sid.
Sana looked at his hand and looked back at him and walked off leaving his hand in the air.
He paused, he couldn't believe what just happened right now.
He ran towards the mirror, checked his face and muttered I looked handsome, did she just ignore my handshake? no one does that to the young master.
He walked towards the dinning table where everyone was seated along with Sana.
His mother smiled and said- Come Sit next to Sana.
Sid looked at her who looked at her plate, he walked and sat down.
His father looked at him with a serious expression and said- Did you beat those two people?
Sid clicked his tongue and said Yes!
His father banged his hand on the table and said- Why? Look up when I am talking with you.
Sid looked into his eyes with a challenging expression, just as his father was about to burst.. the mother came in between and said- Let's not fight? Sana's here!
The father's expression softened and he smiled at sana and said- When are you joining the school?
Sana smiled and said- Day after tomorrow.
Sid's mother said- Sid take her to look around in the town tomorrow, you know Sana there are so many amazing shows you would like.
Sana smiled but it wasn't geniuine and sid felt that.
After dinner, Sana bowed to everyone and left.
While Sid stood outside in the park which was at the back side of the huge bungalow where Asim and Ray were joking.
Asim- God, I thought she was some ugly girl. But she's really one of the most beautiful girls I have ever seen.
Ray- I agree, but something is so weird about her. She's so aloof you know?
Asim- She has just arrived, she would gell up.
Sid was in his own thoughts as he was lighting up his dark brown cigar; just as dark as someone's eyes when Asim said- You know she's literally the only beautiful girl here in north who I haven't kissed or made out with.
Sid looked at Asim with his eyes dead serious and a grave expression- I would like you to keep it that way. She's now in my territory and she would remain so.
Asim- Woaaaah! You like her or what?
Sid chuckled as he smoked a puff and said- Like her? She's nothing but plain, but there's something interesting about her which I would like to find. I just don't like anyone even looking at the things I have my eyes on.
Both of the guys laughed while Sid smirked puffing out the dark grey smoke when his eyes landed on the window of someone , who was looking down at him.
They looked at each other as the smoke of mystery covered them up.
The next morning Sid stood outside in the porch sitting on the bonnet of his car waiting for Sana.
Sana came out wearing a light yellow sundress with her cheeks and lips tainted light pink as she smiled at his mother.
The mother playfully glared at Sid and said- Don't leave her out in crowded areas and make sure you make her see everything okay?
Sid rolled his eyes and said- Do you even want me to lie down on the ground so that she can walk over me and not touch the ground?
His mother slapped his arm and said- Be nice!
Have fun Sana! And if this naughty boy annoys you, let me know okay?
Sana smiled nodding and sits inside the car as sid starts to drive.
His one hand remains on the wheel while another is resting on the window.
Sid- So, just letting you know! If you see anyone in the city who asks who you are, just say you are a guest! I don't want them to get the wrong idea.
Sana doesn't responds just looks out.
Sid- You should be lucky that I am driving you and taking you to see the city! People here die to sit where you are.
Sana looks at him and said- please stop the car.
Sid- Huh?
Sana- please stop the car.
Sid stops the car and says- What?
Sana gets out and says- Now you can go on your own while I be on mine. It's evident that none of us wants to be together so please move on! I'll meet you at 5 pm here back again.
Sid looked at her flabbergasted, for the first time in his life someone didn't wanted to be around him.
His anger flared, his ego hurt.
He got out of the car, ran and grabbed her hand roughly and turned her around.
His saw her eyes change emotions which she controlled and looked at him by those dull hollow eyes.
Sid- I don't like you! I don't want to be with you, but I never disobey my mother. I wouldn't care about you but she asked me to take you. I am not disobeying that.
Sana- I won't tell her-
Sid's voice turned louder- Get. In. The. Car. I won't repeat myself.
Sana meekly walked back into the car while Sid controlled his anger and started to drive back again.
The moment the main city started sana saw how everyone stopped what they were doing and bowed down as Sid's car passed.
Sid got down in the middle of the road and threw his keys at someone random who catched it and nodded.
Sana watched it in disbelief but quietly walked along with him.
Sid first took her infront of a humongous big building and said- That's what my great great grand father made, people all over the world come to see this! This is a wish building, it's said that during war once in the world; the army officers got angry with the priests and the sages because they were getting way more imfluence than the army themselves. So they joined hands and tried to kill them all, more than 500 of them ran over here and my great great grandfather gave them this huge place to hide in. No one could ever question him, so it's said that the priests and the sages prayed together making place one of the most miraculous places to exist, it's said here every wish asked from a pure heart comes true.
Sana stared at the beautiful blue and white building in awe, when Sid said- Do you want to make any wish?
Sana- Not right now.
Sid shrugged and he started to walk back again as Sana followed him from behind.
He showed her some historical places around while Sana just looked down because the way people was just looking at her.
Sid noticed that and then shouted- IF ANYONE LOOKS AT THIS WOMAN, THEY WILL BE PRESENTED IN FRONT OF ME.
Everyone quickly looked away while Sana stared at him in disbelief.
Sid stopped and said- Here! You can shop!
Sana- Shop what?
Sid- You girls use that no.. that- that- ( he tried to indicate at her lips)
Sana- I don't apply that.
Sid heard some commotion and looked at sana and said- You shop and look here, don't pay at all. I'll come back okay? Stay here.
Sana watched him go and quickly walked to the other side which excited her.
She looked at the old antique library and happily walked inside.
Sana walked through the shelves , caressing books softly.
She picked up few on world politics and human rights just when her eyes landed on a book which was really small.. it looked like a collection of poems.
Sana's eyes widened when she saw the author's name- The pink sea.
Her smile widened and she went to shopkeeper and said- This book is released?
The shopkeeper smiled at the girl and shook his head in a no and said- The author wanted to throw it out, this is not published nor would be.
Sana- I am taking all this. How much?
The shopkeeper- None. We don't take money from the Shukla's!
Sana- I am not from their family I am just a guest-
Shopkeeper- Anyone who is in the distance of 5m near the young master or even talks to him or is close wouldn't be charged.
Sana scrunched her nose in disgust and thought what a narcissist.
Sana nodded anyhow and walked out.
She happily took out the little poem book which was held together by a brown string binding it.
She smiled as she read the first short poem-
My dear if I may,
you entered this book in a strange way..
the way to it started from the strings of my heart,
you are nothing but my favourite art.
my favourite art.
my favourite art.
Just as she was about to change to the next page, she heard a scream.
SANA!!!!!!!
Sana looked at the side and saw Sid running towards her panting.
Sana- What-
Sid grabbed her both arms angrily and shook her and said- WHY DID YOU MOVE FROM THERE HUH?
Sana- I just- just wanted to buy some books.
Sana stared at his red angry face which said- You couldn't wait for five minutes huh? Just 5?
You know it's dangerous, there are assassins all over. How would you have saved yourself? By reading the assassin a poem from a stupid book?
Sana stared at him in disbelief as he looked at the book she was holding.
Sana- how dare you call it stupid? Stupid people like you would never understand the depth of the poems.
Sid- as if I care! Just walk towards the car we are going home.
Sana angrily looked away and walked towards the car.
As the got out of the car sid stopped her and said- Here take this.
Sana- What is this?
Sid- Open it and see it.
Sana opened it and it was some makeup.
Sana looked at him and said- You think that woman would just need stuff like that? Huh? Like waking up and dressing up and looking pretty?
Sid looked at her shocked.
Sana- I don't want it,give it to someone who would like it.
Sid looked at her and threw it on the ground in front of her and said- Don't take it then. I don't care.
Sana looked back at him in disbelief and walked away and so did he.
The makeup on the ground looked at both of them and thought what was my mistake?
Sid angrily lit his cigarette and thought, I meant it in a way, because I heard it makes woman happy.. that's what the shopkeeper told me.. I just wanted her to be happy and smile a little? Was it to much to think?
Sana angrily looked out and thought he wants me cover up my real face because it's not pretty enough?
It's building up! Slowly slowly!
How was it?
Let me know!
