A distant sound of the television playing in the background- Arhm it's been reported that around 20 people are affected with-
A girl frustratedly switches off her television and ties her hair into a bun and walks out of her house to go to her college.
Sana!!!!
She turns her head back at the voice and sees her bestfriend Meeti calls for her.
Sana smiles and says- WHATS up?
Meeti looks at her very seriously and says- You know that people are getting so infected and-
Sana rolls her eyes and says- As if !
Sana- You know right that's it's stupid. We are getting late let's go.
Meeti sighs and whispers.. It's not. The end is near.
Sana and Meeti sits in the lecture and as Sana takes notes Meeti looks at her phone with outmost stress.
Half of the day goes like is as Sana sits in the library along with Meeti completing her work just when they hear an announcement.. rather a panicked one.
ATTENTION STUDENTS, EVERYONE HAS TO LEAVE THE COLLEGE RIGHT NOW AND RUN TO THEIR HOMES... THEY ARE COMING... THE CITY IS GETTING AFFECTED WAY FASTER AND JUST... JUST... BE SAFE... RUNNN- AAAAAH.
Within a second they hear screams and people running, the quiet library wasn't quiet anymore.
Horrified Meeti holds Sana's hand and said- WE HAVE TO RUN SANA!
Sana looks at her shocked as they run out pushing people past.
Sana's eyes wideneds as she sees the horrifying image in front of her eyes- people were getting infected.. they were getting-
aaaaah!
Sana jumped as she felt someone behind her, Meeti looked back and took out a knife and stabbed it at the person.
They ran to Meeti's house which was near the college and they Lock the door properly.
Sana and Meeti falls on the floor panting and scared.
Sana- I never thought.. this would happen.
Meeti looked at sana and said- It- It did happen. The city is slowly turning into zombies, it's real sana. I have been researching about it since so long.
Meeti quickly switches on the television and they see horrifying images of people turning into zombies.
She switched it off and holds her head while Sana and pats her back.
They tried to call their parents who were in the other City working but didn't pick up.
Sana- I- I just hope they are okay.
Meeti burst out crying and said- This all wasn't meant to happen. All this, I thought after covid humans would stop experimenting things but now these. I thought we all learnt our lesson but this! We had so much to do, we decided to graduate, get married, go and see the world but now us even surviving is a big thing.
Sana slumped down and nodded.
Sana wiped her tears and said- But we will still fight this all.. together! Like we always did! Um.. think of this as our maths exams which we thought we could never survive but we did.
We can do this meeti! Trust me.
Meeti smiled a little and said- I want to show you some things.
She held her hand and dragged her to a dark room and switched on the lights making Sana gasp.
The room was filled with different weapons.
Meeti- I was always sure this would happen so I researched and got many weapons which could kill them.
Meeti- If by any chance we need to get on our survival mode carry some of these with you.
Sana- I won't be going without you-
Meeti- Just in case sana!
Meeti- Come now let's just eat something and switch off the lights orelse they could see us.
Sana nodded and they made their way to the pantry and cooked some food for them and ate silently. A week had passed through and they were out of groceries and every day they would hear the vicious screams and growls of being drowning them into depression but they still tried to pass through.
Meeti- Sleep for sometime Sana!
Sana was tried from patrolling last night.
Around evening Sana woke up and looked around for Meeti but got horrified when she found a note- DONT go outside, I'm out looking for food for us. STAY IN.
Sana screamed- ARE YOU CRAZYYY MEETI!
2 days passed by and she didn't come back.
Sana had her eyes swelled due to crying, she suddenly wiped them up and walked to the weapons door.
She carried two sharp knifes and 3 guns with refills.
She looked back at the house and saw her's and meeti's picture on the wall and whispered- I'll spilt the world apart to look for you. Just- just don't die.
She took a long breath and walked out of the house as the goosebumps crept on her skin.
She gulped as she saw the roads empty silent.
She slowly walked towards the nearest grocery store and saw it empty.
Her stomach was hurting because of hunger so she decided to pick some chips from the aisle when her eyes felll on the glass reflection on a half dead human behind her and she screamed as the person held her wrist gurgling something and was about to bite her when she stabbed it in his heart making that person fall down.
She took a breath of relief until her heart beat stopped. 10 zombies were being attracted because of the sounds and they kind of covered her.
She closed her eyes in fear accepting defeat just when a hand pulled her wrist tightly and said- RUN!!!!!!!!!
She heard two more voices of humans, on which one of them said- WHY THE HELL ARE YOU SAVING HER ASIM!!!!?
The guy supposedly who was holding her hand was Asim said- NO TIME JUST RUN!!!!
Two of the others shot the zombies on the way while they all ran out for around 2 kms just when Asim pushed sana in a huge building and locked the gates by some codes.
Asim held her wrist again and they entered another code and slowly the doors opened for the most lavish office area she has ever seen.
She looked at it shocked but didn't say a word.
They entered a room where there were some other people like her.. around 8 more?
The guy who shouted on Asim earlier screamed- HE TOLD US THAT NO MORE PEOPLE IN THIS HOSTAGE! WHY DID YOU HAVE TO BRING THIS LIABILITY ?
Sana bit her tongue so that she doesn't say anything Offensive.
Asim- KEN- listen she was about to die I couldn't leave her like that-
Ken- Wait until he comes and kicks her out!
I agree, we don't need more people here- a very annoying girly voice said.
Sana looked at the girl who was with one another and she gave those total 'Fake barbie' vibes.
The room was a mess as some were agreeing while some weren't but Sana's heart was yearning for Meeti! Her heart broke that she was out for looking food for them.
Just when they all heard a voice.
What's going on here?
Everyone froze and stopped while Sana scrunched her nose.
Ken- ASIM BROUGHT ANOTHER PERSON!
The man who was coming from the dark said- Asim I told you not to-
Asim- You wouldn't mind her Sid, if you were at my place you would do the same. You wouldn't mind HER.
Sana looked at asim at the weird cryptic message but she was more confused at the strangely familiar voice.
Sid- What do you mean?
Sana squinted her eyes to see the man who was coming out and her heart froze.
The man infront of her looked at her equally shocked but quickly masked it with cold eyes.
Sana cleared her throat and said- It's okay I'm leaving-
Sid- You're not leaving, NOT AFTER MY FRIEND RISKED HIS LIFE FOR YOU AND NOW IF YOU GO THE OTHER ZOMBIES COULD SEE YOU AND FIND OUR PLACE OF HIDEOUT.
Sana stood frozen and for the first time in her life she wanted to be eaten by the zombies than to stay in the presence of the man infront of her.
She gulped and thought What the actuall hell is happening in my life!!!!!!!'
