Chapter 14: Chapter 12

‘The rest of the day goes well as I get home I start to feel more excited about something. Camila knows something I don’t.

‘What’s happening?’ I ask her.

‘Something important. You will know when it happens. Good night!’ She responds.

Huh. Weird.

‘Wait what? Tell me please!’ I beg her. No response. Huh? She blocked me! Hmph…’

Chapter 12:

Unknown Pov

I can see the abandoned hotel now, coming into my vision. It looks stunning and majestic from the outside. It is only 6 months renovated.

I can see why the owners left this place though. It is surrounded by forest and greenery. It gives off an unsettling vibe. But that’s what I like about this place. The fact that it is mysterious in itself gives my pack and my status an authority not to be messed with.

Also it gives us privacy from the town. There is only one small, dirty road that leads off from the hotel. My guess is that it leads towards town.

The wooden double doors are placed next to the arch that leads to the underground car park. The first floor is covered in thin planks of timber, and the rest, painted in white. It’s modern and homely.

We all approach slowly. I sniff for scents. Nothing. No one has been here for so long that their scents have just evaporated. I give the signal and my Beta, Gamma and I go into the hotel.

I enter first, looking around.

There are 10 floors, each fitted with 20 rooms plus en suits. The hotel is carpeted throughout apart from the bathrooms and the rather large kitchen. There are two lifts and a fire place in the lounge area.

The lighting still worked perfectly fine in all of the rooms and there was furniture in all the right rooms.

Only one word popped into my head.

Abandoned. Like someone had just shut the doors on a normal day and ran away. And that’s exactly what happened. Sort of…

*Pack meeting in the main hall.* I mindlink to everyone.

As everyone gets out of their cars and find their way into the hall, I go to the reception desk and turn the computers on. All are unlocked so I look at the map of the hotel.

*Alpha, everyone is ready.* My Beta mindlinks me

I walk into the hall.

‘’Okay so welcome to your new home. We are safe here, and we have formed an alliance with the Forest Moon Pack so now we are secure too. I’m just going to get straight down to it.

Can everyone with ICT knowledge go to the reception and sort out the computers. I have written a list of what I want you to do.

Can the mothers who help with food and laundry go to your respective places and buy whatever you need to buy.

Can warrior team one search the perimeter and can warrior teams two and three help carry luggage into the respective rooms.

Children under 18 are going to the local primary and secondary school. No debates. All working adults can work in or out of town, but tell me first.’’ I command them.

This meeting goes on for another 10 minutes, where people ask questions and I direct others to other places.

My pack is very efficient. We got all of this done by 4pm.

I went into the pent house at the top. There is a study for me to work and a living space just for me. Perfect.

I jogged down the stairs and bumped into Penny. Penny is 17 and is a total bitch. She’s wearing short shorts and a crop top, showing everything, from her carrot-dyed skin to her florescent yellow hair, only at the ends, of course. She appears my height, yet she is wearing six inch heels to complete the whole ‘centre-of-attention’ act. It just comes with the bitch vibe.

‘’Wanna have some fun?’’ she purrs. I think I’m about to throw up.

‘’Err no. Definitely not from you. Wait for your mate! That’s what I’m doing, so go throw yourself on some other lust-filled guy, who can’t keep their pants up.’’ I say. She huffs and walks away.

I find my Beta by sniffing him out. No, I’m not a dog. I’m a werewolf! I find him in the soon-to-be games room. Obviously.

‘’I think it’s time that I went exploring don’t you think?’’ I asked my Beta.

‘’Yep. Sure thing. Do you want me to come along?’’ He inquires.

‘’That will be nice. Thanks.’’ I reply.

We go into the lift and press the car park button. When we get down there I see that everyone had parked their cars there. Great. I find my car and drive off with my Beta.

We look around all the shops and the town. The public library, the town centre, there was even a lake with water fountains. Nice.

I find the school that I had searched for not even a week ago. JF High. It looks clean and modern from the outside. Let’s just hope it portrays the same on the inside as it does on the outside.

I venture further into the school grounds with my Beta as I intend to enrol here with the other children from my pack going to the primary school up the road.

I take a long sniff to see if I can get any smells or scents. There is one. It smells like heaven. Pure heaven.

‘Mate’ my wolf shouts. And I mean proper shouts.

‘Ouch, you’ll burst my ear drum you prick!’ I tell Matt (my wolf). I feel him cringe. ‘Sorry… I’m just so excited and happy.’  He says sheepishly.

‘’I found my mate.’’ I tell my Beta. ‘’And she’s gonna have one hell of a ride! Haha.’’

‘’Good luck, you’ll need it.’’ He replies.

My Beta has already found his mate. She has him wrapped around her little finger. I feel I’m going to be just the same.

A mate is your soul mate, the one you’re destined to be with. Your life and soul. What keeps you together. You will never love another like you love your mate. Fate chose me to be with her and nothing will get in my way to stop that from happening.

I love her already and all I have done is smelt her scent. Her delicious, appetising scent. Honey and raspberries combined in a wonderful glow, leading me in the way she walked about an hour ago. That is how good my nose is.

Snap! I awake from my daydream as my Beta laughs at me. ‘’You’re whipped dude, totally whipped. Haha!’’

I growl at him and he immediately calms down. But as I sniff in deeply and try to inhale her scent again I see that hunters was following her. They go in the same path to get to school.

I growl lowly. No one, and I mean no one, gets there hands on my precious little mate. Or they’re dead meat. Literally.

The next day, it is time for everyone to either go to work or school. I call a pack meeting just before everyone leaves.

‘’I have some great news. I found my mate!’’ There was some applause. I don’t tell them that she is human. It’s not the right time yet.

‘’Please act naturally around people. The school we are going to is full of humans so we don’t want to be discovered by wolfing out.’’ I eye some people. ‘’Please try not to jump on any female that might attract you, unless it is your mate. We don’t want any injuries.’’ Some people laugh at this.

‘’I also found what I think is a hunter’s scent at our school. Be extra careful around him and the humans. No wolfing out! We will track him tonight! I think he is following my mate!’’
