You know that feeling you get when you know something is going to happen. Whether it be good or bad? Yeah that's the feeling I have right now.
Cain came back only dressed in a pair of plaid pajama pants. When I asked him where his shirt was he said and I quote," It's my room. You should be glad that I'm wearing pants." end-quote.
So now I'm laying in between Cain and Mason trying to focus on the movie but I can't. Especially since I don't know what Cain's play is. So instead of focusing on the movie I started glance over at him to see what he was doing.
He, like his little brother, was completely engrossed in the movie that was playing. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding and started to relax. I leaned back against the head board and finally focused on the movie.
Mason finally decided to watch Inside Out, which he made very clear that he hasn't seen it and if we talk we have to sit in the time-out corner for five minutes.
If we do it again then we're going to be there the whole movie, and if we still can't be quiet we're getting kicked out and locked out of the room until the movie is over.
Yeah, a five year old said all that. At first, me and Cain thought he was just joking but the look on his face told us otherwise. I hope his heart doesn't break when he finds out Riley's imaginary friend dies. I'd hate to see those eyes shed a tear.
The movie had just gotten to the climax when Mason paused the movie saying he had to go to the bathroom. I asked him if he would need any help and he gave me a 'really' look.
So then there were two. Two people. Two people who had just kissed the night before and still haven't spoken about it.
I could feel Cain staring at me but I was too nervous to turn and face him. This is the first time we've been alone since last night. I felt Cain put his hand on my shoulder. I turned over to face him and was met with his lips on mine.
The kiss was so fast that I didn't even get the chance to kiss back. His eyes made contact with mine.
"I've been wanting to do that since I saw you this morning," he said pulling me closer to him. He ran his fingers through my hair, twirling it around on his finger.
"What are you doing?" I asked him. "I'm trying to get you to kiss me this time. I like you Rose when will you realize that?"
I pushed away from him a little," I can't tell after all that you said to me last night I'd say you dislike me."
He pulled me back," What I said last night was uncalled for and I apologize for everything that I said," he said putting his face near my neck," it was just the jealousy talking."
I pushed his head away from my neck," That doesn't make up for what you said to me Cain."
He put his head back in my neck, kissing it. "Stop pushing me away Rose. I said I'm sorry I couldn't control my words. It wasn't me talking."
He peppered my neck with kisses and refreshed the mark he placed on me last night. He put his head up and placed his lips on mine. This time I did get the chance to kiss back. He took my bottom lip into his mouth and sucked causing me to let out a quiet moan.
He pulled back and looked at my face before diving back on to my lips. Pulling and biting on them, silently begging me to open my mouth. He bit my lip extra hard which forced me to open my mouth in shock, and it gave him access to my mouth.
Our tongues melded as we tried to memorize each others mouths. Air was the last things on our minds as the need for each other was much more demanding. He made his way on top of me and started to grind on me.
I ran my fingers through his hair and dragged one hand down his chest scratching as I went down, which caused him to growl and run his hands down my body.
He pulled his lips away from mine, panting, and went back to my neck, roughly nipping at leaving marks behind and me a moaning mess. He slammed his lips back up to mine and groaned onto my mouth," God Rose."
We quickly broke apart when we heard the bathroom door open and Mason came stepping out.
"Since you two can't seem to keep your hands to yourselves, I am going to be sitting in the middle now," Mason said getting up on the bed.
"A man can't even go and take a poop without them being gross," Mason whispered to himself pushing his way between us.
I looked at Cain and saw he looking at me with a smirk on his face. He mouthed," We'll finish this later." I felt my face heat up and I turned to watch the movie.
................................
After many tissues and piggyback rides Mason finally calmed down after Bing Bong died, so we were finally able to finish the movie. Yes, we had to pause the movie because Mason wanted to cry first before he watched the 'happy' ending.
Now we were in the kitchen I was about to prepare them a light snack before dinner. I was standing in the pantry when I felt arms come around my waist.
"What are about to make flower?" Mason asked. I shrugged my shoulders," I don't know, what do you want me to make?"
He looked around the pantry can you make me some chicken alfredo flower?" "But that's not a snack Mase, that's dinner," I protested and looked down at him.
Which was a mistake because he was giving me puppy eyes with those beautiful eyes of his. "OK fine," I said watching his eyes light up. "Yay," Mason said running out of the pantry.
I pulled out the ingredients necessary for the dish and headed out to prepare. The good thing about living in a castle is that there are cooks who have every type of meat in the world in the fridge. I pulled out the chicken and started cooking. Behind me I could hear the boys chatting about whatever it was.
I remember the last time I made this dish. It was for Jahaan. Jahaan. How could I forget about Jahaan. Â He's probably starving to death or is already dead. I don't know how he has been treated so far. How selfish could you get Rose forgetting about your best friend whose probably going through hell right now.
Thinking about Jahaan got me in a sad mood, so after I got done making their food I excused myself to go to my room. Mason told me bye and that he couldn't wait for me to babysit him again.
Cain grabbed my arm and pulled me over to a corner that was out of Mason's earshot.
"What's wrong Rose? We were just having a good time, why the change in attitude," he asked studying my face.
"Nothing,"I said not looking at him.
He tried to place his hands on my face but I turned my head away. "What did I say about pulling away from me?" he asked grabbing my face and making me look at him.
"What's wrong with you?" he asked again. "Nothing is wrong. I just need to go and get ready for dinner service that's it," I said trying to pull away once again.
He didn't believe me and tightened his grip on my face," What's going on in that pretty little head of yours? What's got you so down all of a sudden?" he said, his eyes searching my face for an answer.
"Nothing you would understand Cain," I said angrily.
"Well maybe if you were to help me understand, I could help you. But if you're going  to be a bitch about it you don't deserve my help," he said finally letting my face go.
I scoffed at him,"Well this bitch is going to go and get ready to serve you and your guests your highness."
I turned and walked away. "Be in my room after dinner or else!," I heard him yell after me," Oh and you better not cover up those bites on your neck!"
I just flicked him off and walked to my room to change.
..............................................................
It was finally time for dinner. Instead of listening to Cain, I did cover up the many bites he left on my neck thanks to the power of concealer and foundation. It sucks too since I have tattoos on my neck.
I headed to the kitchen to join the rest of the girls. When I entered it was moving at the pace it always was. Fast but this time with a little more speed and you could taste the nervousness in the air.
I saw Maya standing in her usual spot in the corner so I headed over towards her. "What's got their panties in a twist?"
She looked over at me," Well long time no see, roomie. The king's family is going to be dining with us today, unexpectedly. It's got the cooks racing around the place. That's what they get for not prepping earlier. Dumb-asses." I nodded my head.
"Order up," one of the cooks yelled out. A girl grabbed the tray and headed out. Tray after tray they went out until the last tray was left. None of the girls moved to grab it.
"Why is no one moving?" I asked Maya who too made no move to grab the tray.
"Because they know that that tray is for the king's little brother and everyone is afraid of him," she said," hell even I'm terrified of him. He's too unpredictable."
Scared? Of little ol' Mason? Yeah right.
"I'll serve it to him," I said laughing at everyone's silliness. I went and grabbed the tray and headed towards the door. I heard one of the girls whisper good luck before I went out.
When I opened the door I was met with just Cain's family sitting at the table. I saw Evelyn, Liam, Mason, Cain, and someone else in the chairs.
I walked towards them and noticed that Mason along with everyone else had already had a plate in front of him.
Wait I thought she said that this tray was for Cain's little brother.
"Ah, here's your food," Evelyn said.
The mystery man turned his head around and my eyes widened in shock and I dropped the tray in fear.
"Ian?"
