Rose's outfit on media

.........................................................................

The sun peeked in through the curtains. I stayed up all night just staring at the ceiling.  I thought about all the events that led up to this and thought about how stupid I was.  I started to think about what Jahaan could be experiencing right now. All the things that he has forced me into doing doesn't even compare to this.

Was he being tortured? Starved? Would it have been better if he wouldn't have came with me?

I heard the door crack a little bit and I looked over to see a girl about my age peeking inside. She was very pretty, with blue eyes and long brown hair. "Can I help you," I asked.

She fully opened the door and said," Master Ian told me to come get you. He said to bring you downstairs and show you were you are supposed to be working." I sat up on the bed," What do you mean where I'll be working?"

She came closer to me and sat down on the bed, " You really don't understand what's happening? Do you?" I shook my head no.

"Did he even tell you why you were here?"

I shook my head again and told her about everything that had happened," He told me that we were mates and that I basically belonged with him, when in reality he should've said to him."

She shook her head in disappointment. "I can't believe he still says that to lure girls to come with him back here. If his older brother, the king, knew that he was tricking girls like this..... I can't imagine what he'll do to him. Especially, with this not being the first time he's done this."

"Well he told me that I was sold to him and that he was going to bring me back anyway, since I had ran away and-" "Wait, you escaped? What was that like?"

"Um, well it was all that successful since I came back, but this time I have way worse than I did the first time." I started to think about Jahaan again and how he was doing. Then I thought about what she said.

"Wait, Ian has a brother." She nodded her head excitedly.

"Yeah, and he's so handsome and way better looking than his brother. He's the oldest lycan. Well, at least to me I don't know you're tastes. What did Ian tell you about himself?"

"He told to me that he was the king of the lycans and that I was his queen." She rolled her eyes and said," Well then that's just another lie he has told. His brother is the king, not him.

Even though he likes to think he is but he's actually just a prince. Their father wouldn't dare trust him with the throne anyway. I bet the only throne he's going to sit on is his toilet.

Hell, his brother doesn't really even trust him with anything other than going out and getting servants. Anyway, right now we are in his brother's castle. Now come on, we've been in here too long."

She got up off the bed and headed toward the door. She opened it and turned around to find me still sitting there. "Come on we need to go, unless you want to run into Master Ian." I shot right up off the bed and headed towards her. When I reached her she started to laugh," I knew that would make you get up. Now let's go."

......................................................................................................

She showed me all around the castle except the dining room since something was happening in there. She told me about what I was supposed to do- which was serve the food, clean some of the rooms, and babysit if necessary. "Babysit? Who would I be babysitting?"

"The King's and Master Ian's little brother Mason. He is really adorable but is a handful sometimes." She led me to a set of stairs that seemed to be going down to the basement. "What's down there?"

"That's where all the servants stay, come on. I'll show you where you'll be sleeping." She started down the stairs and I stood there for a while and started to go down. Hopefully my new bed is as comfy as the one I just left cause if not there will be problems.

When I made it down I saw that there was five rooms. I saw the girl standing by one so I walked towards her. "Here you go," she said while opening the door. I walked in and saw four beds and four closets.

It wasn't a bad looking room and it looked spacious enough so that all the people in it could have their own space without interacting with each other.

"If it isn't obvious you'll be sharing this room with three other girls. They are out doing their chores for the day so you'll meet them later. You get to decorate your side of the room anyway you like. There should be clothes in the closet for you to wear for the dinner tonight." "Dinner?" I asked in confusion. "Your first chore ,you could call it, is to serve the meals for the dinner service. Hopefully, you'll get to see the king in all his glory," she said sighing in content.

I walked toward the empty corner and opened the closet looked inside to see a short black dress with a white collar. I looked down and saw a pair of black flats sitting at the bottom."I'll let you get changed and then when you're finished come outside and we'll head to the kitchen." She walked out the room and when she did I let out a cry I didn't know I was holding in.

I can't believe that my life has led up to this. I was a good kid, I mean yeah I got into trouble every once in a while but who doesn't. Once I got done crying my eyes out I put on the dress and headed toward a mirror that was in the middle of the room. It didn't look to bad on me but the thing that did was my bird nest of a head. I walked around like this all day? That explains some of the strange looks I was getting earlier. I went to one of the other girl's dresser and took a ponytail holder. She won't miss this.

I walked out the room, closed the door, and immediately ran into someone knocking a red drink all over them. "I am so sorry. I didn't mean to bump into to you," I said looking up to see a man with the prettiest green eyes looking at me in anger. He huffed and said," It's fine just next time watch where you are going." I nodded my head," Ok I will," then realization hit me," Wait I had just exited my room and the only thing I did was turn around." "Your point is?" he asked. I rolled my eyes,"My point is that the only way for me to have bumped you, is if you were standing directly behind me."

He looked a little taken back, probably because I guess he didn't expect me to come up with that. "Well your little theory is incorrect. I was just walking behind you and you turned around and bumped into me." "Mhmm, if you say so," I said. I walked around him and headed up the stairs. "I do say so," I heard him say when I reached the top. I turned and looked down at him. "How bout next time you watch where you're going, asshole." The last thing I saw was his mouth drop.

I looked around and saw the girl sitting down flipping through a magazine wearing a dress similar to mine except it was white with a black collar. I cleared my throat and she looked up,"I see you finally saw what your hair looked like," she said getting up laughing. I rolled my eyes," Yeah I did, and thanks so much for telling me that it looked like that too," I said sarcastically. "Oh you're welcome," she said still laughing," let's go."

We walked back up the stairs and headed toward the kitchen. When we got inside all the chefs were racing around the kitchen trying to finish everything. "What do lycans even eat?," I asked the girl. "Well they're a mix between a werewolf and a vampire so they eat human food and drink blood. So I guess they make them our food and add some blood into it."

I looked at her in shock," So you're telling me that a werewolf and a vampire got together and had children and their children had children. From all the stories I've read, vampires and werewolves don't get along." "They don't get along, well not really. I guess their feuding pissed someone very powerful off and they somehow created a lycan. I don't know all the details. I haven't been here that long."

"How long have you been here?" I asked. "For four years." My eyes went big," And you've never tried to escape before." "No," she said shrugging her shoulders," I know that I'd rather be in here than out there. All the violence and corruption going on outside and we are perfectly safe inside." One of the chefs beckoned us over to him. He handed us both a tray of food. "Here ladies. Start passing this entrees out and then come back for more."

The girl headed for a set of double doors and pushed them open. To say I was amazed by the room, would be an understatement. I was mesmerized by its beauty. It had crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling. The room was a deep maroon color that brought warmth to the room. The carpet was black and looked so soft that you could go to sleep on it without a pillow for your head. In the middle of the room was a long oak table with at least 20 or 25 seats that were all filed with guests. The all looked like supermodels and as if they have never experienced acne or a bad hair day in their lives. The only empty seat was the one at the head of the table. I guess that's were the king is supposed to sit.

I started to pass out the entrees and went back to the kitchen for more. I kept making trips until there was only one more to pass out. "Whose plate is this for?" I asked one of the chefs. He rolled his eyes and said," I guess there's no good help these days. It's obviously for the king you dimwit."

I held my hand up to my chest and said in a dramatic way,"Well excuse me but the king isn't in there." He looked like he was fed up," He is going to be though."

I grabbed the plate and headed back inside to see that no one was eating anything. I walked up to the girl and asked her why. She said," Nobody eats until the king arrives and he gives permission to." "Oh," I said.

The main entrance to the room opened and everyone stood up. Me being the short person I am and standing where I am, they blocked my view of the person.

I heard everyone give the new person a pleasant greeting and ask him or her was there any reason why he or she was late.

The only thing I heard in response was ," hallway," and, "blood." I stood on my tip toes and the only thing I could see was green eyes. Everyone finally sat down and I was able to see his face fully.

My mouth dropped in shock. It was the man from the hallway that I bumped into. Great, just great. "Where's my plate?" he asked. Everyone turned and pointed at me," she has it."

I turned to see who they were talking about until I realized that I'm the only one holding a plate. Wait. I thought I have the king's plate in my hand. I looked up to see him looking at me now. His face lit up in recognition and he smirked.

That's when I finally noticed the crown on his head.  Good job Rose, you called the king an asshole to his face. Well, fuçk.
