Fortunately, we arrived at Tojoin-sanâs house within ten minutes, just some time after Fujise and Sei-chan got into the car.
Although it seems that Tojoin-san and Fujise didnât seem to have teased us enough yetâ¦
At least Fujise lost interest in teasing us the moment we arrived at her place.
âA-Amazing.â
Fujise couldnât help but sigh in admiration looking at the house from the limousine.
In addition to Fujise, Rinke and Sei-chan also had their eyes rolling at the sight.
Outside the window was a mansion the size I had never ever seen before in my entire life.
No, I might have seen a mansion this big in a manga or something, but itâs definitely not something that would exist in real life.
Well, I guess I am in a manga world after all, so seeing something like this makes senseâ¦
I had read the original story beforehand, so I knew Tojoinâs house was plenty big, but when I actually saw the real thing with my own eyes, it was so amazing that I couldnât help but laugh.
âGive me a minute, Iâm opening the gate.â
âG-Gate..â
The limousine stopped as we were waiting for the gates to open up.
So that means that the mansion has enough garden space to fit an entire limousine inside.
Thatâs really amazing.
The gate that was larger than our school gate opened up, as the limousine slowly entered the mansionâs grounds.
As we approached the mansion, the limo finally stopped and so we got out.
The mansion was so big that you canât help but look up at it from this angle, and the entrance door is so grand that it could just as easily be called a doorway to heaven.
âTojoin-san really is an ojou-sama after all.â
Fujise muttered to herself in a daze.
âOh? On the contrary, what did you think I was then?â
âNo, I knew you were an Ojou-sama. Just⦠not one of this scale.â
âThis house isnât too big for me though. But I guess itâs probably huge for a normal person.â
âEHH?! You have a house bigger than this?â
âI have villaâs overseas that are several times the size of this thing.â
âI canât even imagine such a thingâ¦â
A few times larger than this⦠The normal-like Fujise canât hope to imagine such a thing in reality.
âHave you finished admiring the exterior? Letâs go in already.â
Tojoin-san said, we followed behind her as she walked towards the door.
Thatâs when I walked next to Sei-chan and somehow our eyes met in the process.
ââ¦!â
Sei-chanâs face immediately turned red and looked away from me.
She had been teased repeatedly about marrying me, so itâs no surprise that sheâs acting like this all of a sudden.
I was so embarrassed that I wanted to avert my gaze too.
But Sei-chanâs embarrassed face is just too cute.
I went straight into the place and found a very luxurious and spacious house.
I saw a doorway that was way too wide, a ceiling that was also way too high and even chandeliers hanging from them.
Tojoin-san seemed to be the only one that was unfazed by all of this and just went straight in through the entrance.
âWhat shall we do now? We can immediately go and practice cooking? Or I can show you around for a while.â
âY-Yeah, sure⦠Can you show us around?â
The purpose of today was for Fujise to practice her cooking skills.
Fujise canât cook at all.
Itâs so bad that youâd vomit right after trying it out.
I still remember when Sei-chan asked me to help her out, and I thought to myself, âWhat kind of punishment is this?â
Itâs because what I taste test will most likely be extremely poisonous. Thereâs a good chance Iâll immediately pass out after trying it.
So when T Sei-chan told me about the punishment game they had set up, I immediately proposed to her that she should make Tojoin-san help Fujise to cook.
Just helping Fujise with her cooking is punishment enough, but for Tojoin-san, to help her own love rival in such a thing, with something that could be a huge advantage.
And so, I suggested the idea to Sei-chan, and she immediately went through with it.
Tojoin-san said it would be humiliating, but she would do it nonetheless.
So, we are going to teach Fujise how to cook today.
Tojoin-san showed us around the extremely large mansion.
All the while, we glanced around looking at everything nearby.
Itâs because there were butlers and maids that bowed to us as soon as we walked by them.
Tojoin-san seems to have gotten used to it, but I guess we couldnât help but get carried away at this sight.
I was walking down the hallway when a man casually walked by.
Wait, isnât that manâ¦?
âFather!?â
Tojoin-san, who was walking in front of the pack, started screaming.
âEh, Thatâs Tojoin-sanâs father?â
Fujise muttered to herself⦠Thatâs the thought that came to everyoneâs mind at the same time as well.
The president of a company so large, that itâs assets exceed a trillion. Mitsuki Tojoin.
He looked so young that itâs hard to believe that heâs actually over 40. His black slick hair was short enough to show off his ears cunningly.
He had a well defined face and a pair of eyes that glowed as bright as Tojoin-san.
No, it should be the other way round. Tojoin-sanâs eyes looked like his.
We, including Tojoin-san, became more and more nervous as he approached us in a suit with a blank expression.
âMorning, Kaori. How have you been?â
âMor-Morning Father. Yeah, Iâm fine.â
Tojoin-san who looked nervous at seeing her father, smiled stiffly.
We, who stood behind her, straightened our backs like weâve never done so before.
He raised his eyebrow for a moment and quickly turned his head to us.
âAre these people your friends?â
âY-Yes, these are my friends and I have invited them here today.â
âI see, Nice to meet you. I am Mitsuki Tojoin. Father of Kaori.â
âNice to meet you, Iâm Shiho Fujise.â
Fujise took the lead and the rest of us followed suit with our greetings as well.
Rinke and Sei-chan both greeted him respectively with me following so last.
âTsukasa Hisamura.â
âYou are Hisamura-kun?â
âEh?â
He knows my name? Why?
âThank you for everything youâve done.â
âE-Ehh? N-No⦠What did I do?â
âThe other day, I was told by Kaori that you were the one that told her to call me.â
âAh, youâre talking about that.â
I didnât expect that Tojoin-san would tell him about me.
Tojoin-san told me that she owed me a lot. But honestly, I donât think I did much at all.
âI just wanted to thank you for everything. So, thank you.â
âNo, no. I didnât do anything that big.â
âItâs a big deal from our point of view. In the meantime, have this, a token of my gratitude.â
I received a piece of paper that he pulled out from his pocket.
What on earth is this
Eh, a check?
âIâd say you can have any amount you want, but Iâm sorry, the limit is ten billion yen.â [TLN: Thatâs ten million in USD.]
âEh, ehâ¦Â EHHH?!â
I had no idea what he was talking about all of a sudden.
Ten billion as in⦠TEN BILLION YEN?!
NO NO NO NO NO?!?!
âI canât accept this, no way can I accept such a large amount!â
âReally? Thereâs a small villa in Karuizawa thatâs just about the size of this house, would you want to have that then?â [TLN: Karuizawa is known as a place for villas and one of the higher end districts in Japan.]
âNo thank you!â
As small as this house?
This is too big of a house!
âI see, I canât seem to think of something that youâd like, but I would like to send a gift to you at some point in the future.â
âJust the thought of it is enough.â
âNo, that is definitely not enough. You melted the ice between our family after all.â
He then proceeded to look and smile at Tojoin-san gently.
Tojoin-san looked away with slightly red ears.
âF-Father, why did you come here today?â
âI heard that they were a part of the few people you invited that werenât Yuuichi, so I came by to take a look.â
âP-Please donât embarrass me in front of all of them.â
âIâm sorry, I was just so curious that I decided to push work aside for a while.â
âIS THAT ALRIGHT?!â
Ahh, so thatâs why I could hear a vibrating-like sound from his inner pocketâ¦
Itâs probably a work-related call. Is it really fine to ignore that?
âIâd better get going Kaori. For dinner next week, will you be cooking for me?â
âY-Yes, Iâm still practicing, but Iâll put my skills to good use.â
âJust the fact that Kaori is cooking for me makes it worth more than any fine meal Iâve ever had.â
âKuu⦠T-Thank you.â
We were looking at a very unusual sight.
A sight where Kaori Tojoin was shrinking back and making muffled noises.
Tojoin-san who had the look of an ojou-sama has now cracked into the picture of a really lovely girl.
âAlso Kaori, are you not going to change the way that you call me?â
âEh? T-Thatâsâ¦â
âI seeâ¦â
He lowered his eyelids a little, which made him look a little sad and depressed.
When Tojoin-san saw this, her face instantly went red, with a look that she made up her mind.
âGood luck with your work, DAD!â
âAh-Ah, Thank you Kaori.â
In return to Tojoin-sanâs words, he gave a really gentle smile.
âYou guys go ahead and take your time.â
âA-Ah, yeah. Thank you.â
He said and left.
A few seconds passed after he left.
âYou seem to get along quite well with your father, Tojoin.â
â!?â
The first person to utter those words was surprisingly, Sei-chan.
Actually, it wasnât that was surprising since she was teased so much in the limousine
âShi-Shimda-san.â
âNo, I didnât mean anything bad by it. Itâs nice to see you guys get along. I hope that the both of you proceed to get along just as well in the near future.â
Sei-chan seems to be trying extremely hard to keep the grin from showing on her face.
I canât stop the corners of my mouth from curving up slightly too.
âThatâs right. Itâs good that you and your Dad get along so well.â
âRight, thatâs so wonderful.â
âIâm so happy that I was able to help Tojoin-san get along with her Dad.â
âYou did well, Hisamura. It seems that it was thanks to you that Tojoin and her Dad got along.â
ââ¦â¦â
After that, Sei-chan and I continued to tease Tojoin-san until we reached the kitchen. Tojoin-san had a bright red face by the time we got there.
