"Today's a new day! Its Monday. I woke up very early so that I can fulfil the promise I gave to Trina. Today's the day I'm going to give her a makeover and change her image in school. I'm so excited. I'm going to rummage through her closet.
I walk to her door still in my pyjamas. I knock and she answers telling me to come in.
I enter. Trina's room was all blue. Unlike my room which was all black and navy. Black was my favourite colour.
"Hey Nicole" she says coming out of the shower in a blue bathrobe.
"Are you ready for a makeover?" I ask her.
"Yes!" She exclaims and sits in front of her dresser.
I blow dry her brown hair and comb it. Then I use her curler to curl her hair and tie it into a high ponytail at her back leaving a few strands of curled hair at the left side of her face.
I walked to her closet and rummaged through her things. She was behind me.
"What about this skirt?" She asks me holding up a brown pleated skirt.
"Gosh Trina! This skirt is too plain" I say and yank it from her hands and throw it behind me.
"What about this one?" She asks and holds up a red straight dress with two pockets in front. It had no shape. I eyed it.
"Trina! This dress has no style! It looks like a potato sack!" I tell her and she laughs. I take the dress and throw it behind me. My sister doesn't have good taste!
"Let me choose the clothes here! Your suggestions aren't good enough!" I say and throw a pile of old fashioned clothes on the floor.
I finally settle on a green one sleeved top which shimmered in the light and a pair of white shorts and white sneakers.
"These are perfect!" I tell her and place the clothes on the bed.
"If I wear this, I would look naked Nicole" Trina grumbles.
I roll my eyes.
"The top is only one sleeved and the shorts aren't too short! They are actually knee length! Now try it" I say and she puts them on
"Wow Trina! You look cute" I compliment and she blushes.
She looks at herself in the mirror and gasps.
"I look different" she says pleased with her new look.
"One more thing" I say and grab her mascara and lip gloss.
I use the mascara on her eyelashes and lip gloss on her lips giving it a smooth pink colour and a shimmering effect matching her top.
Then I handed her a green bracelet and white earrings to wear.
She looks at the mirror and shrieks.
"Now I look totally different" she gushes and I chuckle.
"You look like some fashionista! Am sure all the guys would have a crush on you today" I say and she giggles.
"Thanks Nicole" she says.
"Trina! Let's go" Mom hollers from downstairs.
"Tell me what happened when you get back okay? Bye" I say and Trina leaves the room hurriedly with her black satchel.
"Wow Trina! You look wonderful" I hear mom gush from downstairs and I smile. I got Trina's clothes organized as they used to be in her closet and close it.
I come across a picture we took together when we were younger. We sat together wearing the same sweater,smiling toothily at the camera.
We were so young then but we loved each other so much. I had a copy of this picture but I don't know where I put it! I need to find it and keep it together with the ones I took with Jake yesterday.
I leave to my room and take a long shower. After my shower, I blew my hair dry and curled it with my curler.
Then I got into a simple red dress.
I looked for the picture of Trina and I and I found it in one of my drawers covered in dust. I placed them in front of my dresser and smiled at them. I deflate and look at the time.
It was 7:56am.
My phone rings and its a video call from Aaron. I pick up
"Hey Aaron!" I say.
"Good morning Nikki! Whoosh! You look stunning! Where are you going" Aaron says
"I don't know! I'm just bored here" I tell him honestly.
"Well you can go somewhere with me today! I want to miss school" Aaron says.
"Really? I would love that" I reply
"Danny will be joining us! He's been suspended too" Aaron says.
"I guess Mr Cartwright is behind it" I say
"Yes he is! But I think Danny went too far" Aaron replies
"Kinda" I say
"Am at Danny's house now! I'll be at yours soon" he adds.
"Okay! I'll be waiting" I say and hang up. I quickly fix my hair and my dress. I apply my lip gloss. I didn't feel like putting on make-up today. I apply black nail polish on my nails to wait for Aaron.
Finally I hear a car honk outside and I rush downstairs. I locked the front door with my keys and left to Aaron's car. Danny was in the passenger seat.
I entered the back and sat down
"So where are we going?" I ask "Aaron she's asking you" Danny spits. I was obviously asking Aaron.
"I honestly don't know where we should go! What do you guys suggest?" Aaron says and I roll my eyes.
My phone dings and its a text message from Jake.
*Good morning Beautiful!*
I smile. I can imagine these words come out of his lips.
I reply his message then I look at Aaron.
"Danny suggests we should go bowling" Aaron says.
"Bowling? Well okay" I reply
"Okay!" Aaron says and moves his car out of my house into the tarred road. I watch the cars on the road and the city. What Jake told me yesterday continues to ring in my mind about being the alpha.
"Guys! I was wondering! Would any of you like to be an alpha someday?" I ask Aaron and Danny.
Danny chuckles.
"You know my answer Nikki" he spits. I remember he told me he would never wish to be an alpha even if he was elected.
"Yeah I remember" I say.
"Good" Danny says.
"And you Aaron?" I ask him
"You know me well Nicole! Soccer is my life! I am committed to it! I cannot have any other commitments like being an alpha! I would be overthrown easily" Aaron spits.
I sigh. As for Troy and Kimberly, they are way out of line. I don't think any of them are dreaming to become the next alpha.
"Why are you asking? Do you want to step down Nicole?" Aaron asks.
"If she is, then its because of Tigress's attitude this weekend! I would have done the same thing if I were in her shoes" Danny says.
"I don't know!" I reply honestly. I don't want Kate to tease me for stepping down.
"Do you guys like the gang thing?" I ask them.
"Well I would have liked it if it was a good gang without Tigress involved" Aaron says
"Yeah! Me too! " Danny agrees.
"Yeah" I agree
"Tigress wants us to be like her! That's what she meant by making history! But am tired of getting into trouble" Danny says.
I sigh heavily.
"Me too" I agree.
"Three" Aaron groans.
"Nikki! I don't know but I think this is crazy!" Aaron suggests.
"What about our fans guys? What will Troy and Kimberly say?" I say.
"Yeah! Troy and Kimberly"Danny says as if he was considering something.
" we need to talk to them too"Aaron suggests
"But I bet they'll have the same thing to say" Aaron adds.
I hope so! I want to stop living this dream! Jake is right! I can't do this! Its way too much!!!
"We'll talk to them on Saturday at Troy's party" Danny suggests.
"Okay!" I say.
We finally arrive in front of a building. Danny gets down and opens the door for me.
"Thanks" I say to him and he shuts the door.
"My pleasure" he replies.
"Let's go bowling!" Aaron announces.
"I'm not playing" I say.
"Why?" Aaron asks.
"I don't know how to play" I say a bit shy.
"Are you serious Nikki?" Danny asks.
I nod with a frown.
"I'm not joking! Am serious guys"
"Oh" Danny says.
"I'll teach you how to play" Aaron offers.
"We will actually" Danny corrects.
"Thanks guys! " I say honestly.
I hear commotion by a wall at the place.
"What's going on over there?" I ask pointing to that place.
"I don't know! Let's find out" Danny replies and the three of us walk to the place. There are like twenty people here.
"Excuse me sir! What's going on?" I ask a young man.
"Oh nothing really. We just saw a poster of a guy who is being wanted and whoever finds him gets a reward of a hundred thousand dollars. The number is on the poster" He explains and points to the poster. Jake's picture was on it.
"Isn't that Jake?" Aaron blurts.
"I think its him" Danny adds.
"You guys know him?" The young man asks.
"Yeah" I reply.
"Can you tell me where he is? I really want that reward" The young man says eagerly.
"Errrr..... Sir! We haven't heard from him in a while" I lied.
He deflates.
I dragged Aaron and Danny out of the crowd back to Aaron's four wheeled drive.
"I don't understand why he's being wanted! Did he commit a crime?" Danny says.
"The reward is so huge! I guess they'll find him in no time!" Aaron adds.
"I don't think he committed a crime!" I say knowing perfectly well that this could be the work of his dear old father.
"He needs to know about this! Gosh! I'll be so embarrassed if I had my pictures all over the city with WANTED written on it like I'm some criminal being traced by the police" Danny spills. He was right about that! Jake would blow up if he hears his father did this! He would be really upset.
"Yeah!" Aaron agrees.
"We would have to tell him about this" Danny spits.
"I'll tell him!" I quickly say. I wanted to be the one to tell him!
"Okay! So now can we go bowling? You guys are killing my enthusiasm" Danny whines.
"Sure! Let's go" Aaron says and we enter.
They showed me how to play it. You just have to run the ball on the skittles and then it crashes into the tenpins at the end. It wasn't too difficult as it seemed.
