Raijin POV
As I felt my mana slowly depleting, I struggled to get up at the top, and barely just grabbed on the edge of the tower and with all of my strength, lifted myself up.
I dropped down on the bell chamber, immediately noticing that the walls and the bells were covered in ice. So she really was here.
I took a deep inhale, leaning on a wall to take a breath first before walking around to look for Nikami. My vision was starting to twist because of overusing my mana, yet I wanted to look for her.
"Nikaâ¦" I laid my eyes on the girl I was looking for, sitting down on the ground in a fetal position. Her left hand building up some ice, she didn't seem to have noticed me.
"Heyâ¦! You fucking- Bitch! What the hell kind of bastard did this to you-" I paused, my vision clearing to see a dress next to her. It was a plain white dress, it didn't look expensive, rather, it looked extremely cheap. This was⦠Probably what Yasachu gave her⦠Right?
When I realized that, I clenched my fists, damn it, what the hell happened?!
An overwhelming sense of anger flew inside me, but I know Yasachu didn't even do anything wrong⦠I know that butâ¦
Right, she wasn't in the wrong, it's this world that was wrong.
I felt my body warmth grow higher and higher and so, I dashed towards Nikami, wrapping her around in a hug. She was cold, it felt as if I was hugging a frozen rock. It pained my skin to keep on holding her near, yet I kept on holding.
"Rai⦠Jin� How did you�" I heard a meek voice coming from a woman like her, my heart felt like it got stabbed. That girl who I know is always confident about what she can do, intelligent and collected⦠Reduced to this?!
Her panting made a cold mist, my skin started to stick to her due to how cold it was, but I deeply inhaled and made heat regulate around my body, making it hotter and hotter.
"It's⦠It's gonna be okay! I'm here with you nowâ¦" I spoke to her, not knowing how to comfort the girl who seemed broken in front of me.
"You're⦠You're somewhere safe, I'm with you, and you're going to be okay. It's fine. You can cry whenever you want, but please, don't run away like that. I know you're scared that people will think you're weak, I-I understand! But⦠Come on, Nika, at least try to reach outâ¦" I begged her, pulling away as she looked up at me with teary eyes. It was red. Really red. How long has she been crying?
"It's⦠It's okay, you don't have to talk. I understand you think better than ya speak⦠Just remember, I'm here with you. And I always will be. I won't be away from you anymore, as long as you'd let me. Ahaha⦠You're so dumb aren't you?" I used my warm fingers to wipe some of the tears on her face, while I used the other to hold her hand. She gave me a softened expression, rubbing her face with my fingers as I grew red.
"Rai⦠Ha⦠Haikiâ¦" She gave a small whimper, gasping for air before hugging me again. I felt her hand slowly turning warm, as if an ice statue melted in my arms. I flinched as I heard my old name,
Then gave a melancholic smile.

We stayed in the position for a while, not exchanging any words, yet I understood her. And finally, she broke the silence.
"Thank you."
"You're welcome moron. Don't run away again, okay? Everyone got super worried." I separated myself from the hug, but she wouldn't budge. I paused, then continued the hug. Ahaha⦠Even she has her needy sideâ¦
"Mmmmâ¦" She let out a small noise, not knowing what to say. I gave a small chuckle and patted her back, her temperature went back to normal now, I'm pretty happy.
"S-so⦠What happened? I'm assuming it's something Yasachu relatedâ¦" I pointed over at the dress, she looked over at it and paused. Then nodded.
"Yes. Something⦠Awful happened. When I took the dress, Yasachu asked me why I was so distant towards her. Seeing her face so sad I just⦠I don't know." I felt her grabbing on to my clothes tightly, her head on my shoulders. It was clear that she was pretty upset.
"I'll be staying here, just try to remember what happened." I reassured her, not wanting to rush.
"I couldn't control⦠My body. Everything was blurry⦠I⦠I can't remember it all properly. I was confused, scared. I was saying things that I didn't want to say, it was like something possessed me. I couldn't move to stop myself either, I felt like I was... I was just watching someone else controlling my body without being able to scream for help." She started to shake, her voice cracking at the end of her sentence. While I continued to hug her, bewildered by what she just said.

"W-wait, so you're telling me, that for a moment, you⦠You couldn't control your body, that the Nikami from the game somehow possessed you?!" Yelling out, I let her go, and she faced me once more.
"I⦠I cannot say for sure, but I can see⦠I don't want to experience that again. To be controlled like a puppet." She mumbled, staring at me as our eyes met.
"I⦠I'm fuckin speechless⦠It's just⦠I'm⦠I'm so sorry that happened to you, damn, and here I thought our personalities changing were bad⦠That was just the tip of the icebergâ¦" I grumbled, looking away from distraught, as she tackled me, still embracing me as I lost my balance and fell to the ground.
"Ack!! Nika? What the hell are you-" I was rightfully confused at why she did that, and when I looked at her, Nikami was on top of my chest.
I quickly turned red, trying to push her off as I turned away.
"Look at me." She demanded.
I grumbled, looking back down at her. I saw her head being titled up at me, an angle that gave puppy dog eyes. With a small frown on her face, she had a soft look, a red tint on each side of her cheek.

I felt the blood rush to my face, that expression was way too damn adorable. Especially coming from someone like Nika! I can feel my heartbeat getting faster, and since her head was on my chest, I'm sure she could hear it too.
"Your heart sure is loud." She said in a monotone way.
"Y-yeah no shit! Wh-when you're on top of me like this I just⦠Can't act normally you know? A-anyway! We should go now, the teachers might go up here soon-" I tried to make up an excuse, trying to stand up but she wouldn't budge. She sat on top of my stomach and leaned forward on my face, pinning me down.
"You really don't know when to shut up." She cupped my cheek with her hand, her face was covering the light and so I was left in the dark.
"Can⦠I?" She asked me, leaning closer to my face as I felt strands of her hair on the base of my neck. Her eyes looked like they were pleading, and combined with that small blush on her face, I felt like my heart was going to burst.
"Mnâ¦" I nodded in approval, laying down on the ground as she leaned closer and closer. Taking off her hands on my cheeks and instead using it to hold my hand.
I stared at her dark green irises before closing my eyes, embracing myself to what was about to happen.
And our lips connected, her soft yet cold lips going against mine. My mind was in a blank state, lifting up my hand on her waist and pulling her closer.
Then she pulled away from the kiss, sitting straight up on my body, wiping her lip with her hand and looked away. Her eyes glaring to the side as her face was redder than ever.
"I want⦠More..." I mumbled, giving a small whine as I pulled her down to her surprise. Her eyes widening as I made her kiss me once again, wrapping my hands around her neck. She slowly warmed up to it though, closing her eyes as I put in my tongue inside her mouth.
I felt her twitch, startled by what I put in, yet I continued to explore her mouth with my tongue. I've waited for this for so long, her kisses and affection, I have wanted for decades on end. I'm not going to be satisfied so easilyâ¦
"Wh-what do you think you're doing�" She quickly pulled away from me, breaking free from my embrace. Glaring down at me as she panted quietly.
"You're quite thirsty aren't you�"
"And who's damn fault is it?" I answered her question with another question, finally regaining my senses and hearing footsteps coming from the stairwell.
"Shit!" I panicked, cursing out loud as I looked over at the entrance. Damn it, why do they interrupt at the worst time?
"Let's go." She stood up, still red but trying to make sense of her surroundings, she quickly thought of what to do as she helped me up.
"Wa-wait! But where?! We can't just jump down there! My mana is low and we're gonna get into trouble for-" I tried to ask her, but she quickly interrupted me.
"I know, I have a plan. Just trust me." She lifted up Yasachu's dress, and underneath it wasâ¦

"Huh�" I gasped for a moment, and before I could even ask her about it, the footsteps continued to go louder. Then she took my hand, dragging me towards the edge.
"I'll explain later, come on, let's go." And with that, she pulled me closer to her, making me jump down with her.
"AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
