Chapter 615
Theo spat out these words without batting an eyelid
Ellinor quickly sidestepped him and tried to quickly make her escape
But she had barely taken a few steps when a beefy hand clamped onto her wrist.
She froze, turning to look at the man âMr Blanchet? What's your game now?"
Theo didn't stop her. He just grabbed her wrist, changed their course, and started striding off in
another direction
Ellinor was thrown for a loop. She instinctively tried to yank her wrist away, but his strength was too
much, she couldn't shake him off
She started to grouse loudly, demanding to know what the hell he was up to.
The completely ignored her complaints, dragging her along with an unshakeable grip.
They ended up in the parking lot in the backyard of the Bagley familyâs house. Theo opened the door
of a black car, shoved Ellinor in and said with a stern face, âStay put until I get back!â
Then he slammed the car door shut with a bang
Ellinor frowned, rubbing the red mark on her wrist where hed held her. She watched his retreating
figure through the car window feeling really pissed off
What the hell was Theo up to? He'd dragged her here out of the blue, stuffed her in the car, and then
just left?
Why should she wait for him to come back?
Any fool would see that this was nuts!
She reached for the door handle, trying to get out, but found that the door was locked.
She tried the button on the door, but that didn't work either, the door still wouldn't open.
Ellinor was starting to feel antsy She turned to look at the driver's seat, hoping to find the unlock
button.
That's when she noticed there was another person in the carl
Theo's right-hand man, Collin, was sitting in the driver's seat, looking at her with a surprised and
helpless expression.
Ellinor frowned âCollin, could you do me a favor and open the door?â
Collin may not have known what was going down between Mr. Blanchet and Ms. Mendoza, but
following his usual loyal and meticulous work ethic, he replied.
âMs. Mendoza, you heard what Mr. Blanchet said when he left. I don't have the authority to open the
door for you. It's best you wait for Mr. Blanchet to come back. Otherwise, I can't explain.â
Ellinor was speechless
She understood Collins predicament as an employee and didn't want to put him on the spot.
But she was still majorly miffed!
What gave Theo the right to lock her in here?
She had no outstanding debts with him, all ties had been cut. What right did he have to restrict her
freedom?
That domineering man was always so self-centered, thinking his status and power gave him the right
to control others as he pleased. What a joke!
âMs. Mendoza, here you goâ
Collin didn't open the door for her; but he did politely hand her a pack of wet wipes
Ellinor was still covered in coffee and felt all sticky.
âThanks!â Since she couldn't leave the car, she took the wipes and started cleaning the coffee stains off
herself.
Collin watched respectfully as Ellinor wiped her hair, then asked, âMs. Mendoza, can I ask where you've
been all this time?â
Ellinor, busy wiping her hair, responded distractedly. âMy partnership with your boss is over. Where I go
is my own business, I don't need to report to you guys, do 17"
Collin was silent for a moment. âBut Mr. Blanchet has been looking for youâ
