That day got in my office little early, I was egar to read Pavi's resume because it will give me some more information about her. I hurry I forgot my coffee and breakfast. I told will to bring it for me with her resume. I heard knock and will entered with resume. He put all things on my table and resume in my hand and left.
As he went I started opening file hurriedly. I think I saw that her smiling her which clams my nerves and I started reading the information. She has done civil engineering with Distinction and as I know she chooses her masters in Environmental and also completed with Distinction. Both projects are relatable and regarding Environment. She knows what she wants and want to do in near future. Looks like my Pavi was a bookish worm. Any company will hire such talents. I kept file aside and started working, but I remembered that today she have an introductory presentation. I will see how she present her ideas in front of board members. She will be working alone on this project so all mistakes and credit only goes to her.
It's my dream project I am not going to compromise it for any reason, not even for girl I like. Did I confessed that I like her, not Jason it's just an attraction. Now she is here so after sometime her charm will warn off and my life get back on track, but I have to agree she is the girl which have ability to make my mind go crazy over her. I don't remember how much time I spend thinking about her.
Like always with sudden thudd door opens.
" Morning Jason." Alex and Xandar chipped.
" Why are you two smiling like an idiots?" I asked because they are really smiling ear to ear.
" You didn't tell us that you have hired Pavi." Alex said.
"Not me, HR department and I just found on lunch with dad. she was taking permission from dad to work." I cleared my side.
" You haven't even told her that we are her bosses when you found out about it." Xandar said with making faces.
" Xandar, leave it. There wasn't lots of people there." Alex said looking at Xandar.
" What happened?" I asked.
" He was standing at elevator and Pavi called her american monkey in front of employees." He said with huge laughter.
" Heyy, I like her calling me monkey. I even call her monkey and she didn't object on that." Xandar said.
I know if we get started on discussing Pavi , I am never going to stop and work is never going to complete, so I brought conversation back to business and discussed things with them.
When three of us entered conference room it was dark already. All board members are already seated and projector's light is falling on pavi. She stared the preparation and I have say that she explained everything in detail, with confidence and answered every question.
I got very angry when one of the board member talking to her arogantly but his point was right. Xandar was going to say something between but I stopped him because I wanted to see that how she is going to react to such man.
She replied calmly and told him that she is patent holder and she is not not going to charge a dollar for that. After listening this everyone looking at her with open mouth.
I adjourned the meeting immediately. When she heard my voice, I saw recognition in that beautiful eyes. Finally she knows that I am CEO. She froze and didn't says anything when lights are switched on. All board members left quietly. Alex and Xandar also left.
I was stunned by her bravery and selflessness. We just kept staring at each other in eyes. She broke the stare and asked me why I didn't tell her before and I told her honestly that I wanted her to become her friend at least. For unknown reason I want her in front of my eyes.
Now, I was afraid that she will push me and treat me as her boss started calling me Mr Knight instead of Jason. I liked hearing Jason from her. She won't be friend with me anymore. We are still staring.
My mood is light up when she called me Jason again and can't stop my smile. She also said that she will be professional in front of everyone.
We chatted and she told me her dream that's why she refused to get paid by patent. She managed to increase the respect towards her in my eyes. She is women of values and principles.
I returned my penthouse, got fresh and started working. After some time I heard my phone is ringing. It was Alex
" Hey, we are going to pub and girls are coming." He said.
" I am working, you go." I told him.
" Pavi is also coming, we were going to introduce her with rose and lily, and I want someone to keep her accompany when we were both busy with girls. It's ok if you are not coming, I will call Ivan." With that he hung up the call.
I didn't like that idea, she is new here and they are letting her hangout with strangers. I can't let that happen, she is my responsibility dad said that. I must go there.
I got ready and left for pub. It's our usual pub.
When I reach their and went to vip area. I saw Alex, lily and rose sitting at table with their glasses. I approached them and asked where is Pavi and Xandar and girls cheered.
" Now, you are going to pay for drinks for a month." Alex rolled his eyes.
" Ok, " he said annoyingly.
Then I get that these idiots are beating on me. I scolded them for their doing. I like doing beating but not on me.
" Xandar is coming and you were working right? Then how you came here?" He asked.
" Can't I chill with my friends?" I said while taking a seat.
Girls dramatically gasped at me.
" The Jason Knight knows how to chill ?" Rose said. I didn't replay and remaining smirks. Xandar come asked.
" Pavi isn't here yet?" He asked.
" I can't wait to meet her, Xandar talked a lot about her." Lily said.
We were taking and we saw that Pavi walking towards us. She is looking fabulous. She was wearing a beautiful dress. I am glad that it is desent not like other girls in here who wear reviling dress.
She was walking and looking around like child at new place and due to croud she accidentally bump in to guys shoulder. He saw her and with creepy smile he turned around to look her.
" Sorry, sir" she said and turned around.
" Why sorry I liked it. You look sexy. Wanna dance with me?" He said and was already walking towards her.
" Excuse me?" She was angry. I approached her and snaked my arm around her. First she startled but when she saw me she melt. I liked how she melt in me. That creepy guy saw me and his eyes went worried and he mumbled sorry and left.
" Jason, thank you." She said and my anger wash away in a second. I smiled at her.
" You are my responsibility Pavi, come on." With that I walked her towards our table. She was quaking at me because I called her as my responsibility. My hand are still around her waist and she didn't even opposed it. We sat at table.
" Wow, Jason let that guy leave without beating sit out of it." Rose commented.
" Yaa, his anger is subsidence a lot lately." Alex replied her.
" We can see that. So, you are Pavi." Lily said.
" Ya, good evening." She said.
" God, you are beautiful, that's why j-" before she could complete any further Xandar cut her.
" Monkey, no need to behave formally they are group members and from now on you too." With that he put his hand dramatically on her shoulder like completing some ritual.
" Thanks" she said while laughing when Xandar done that.
" Monkey Xandar you called her monkey?" Lily asked.
" Yaa we call each other monkey. I liked that. " Xandar said and they noded.
" Ok, Pavi , she is Rose Rodriguez my girlfriend and she is Lily Lopez Xandar's girlfriend." Alex said by pointing at them.
She shook their hand with little bow.
" Ohhh, she is too well behaved, we have to spoil her." Lily said while laughing and we joined her.
" Where is your girlfriend? Jason." She asked me curiously.
" I don't have one." I said normally.
" Lier" she said with shock written on her face.
" It's true dear." I said while grinning at her. She looked at others and they nodded.
" Pavi, what you will like to drink? Let me guess, vodka martini right?" Rose said. She shook her head in no.
" One fruit punch." I order for her. All are looking at me.
" She never drink." I told them.
" Like never ever?" Rose asked her with shock. She just shook her head. They were looking at her continuously.
" Why are you guys looking at me like that?" She asked and we laughed. She still looking everywhere with curiosity in her black eyes.
" Pavi, why are looking everywhere like that? " I Asked her.
" actually, this is my first time at bar." She said embarrassingly.
" Don't worry, everybody has its first." Alex said with assuring smile.
" Hmmm" Xandar said. We turned our head towards him.
" We need to work hard to spoil my sister." he said making us laugh harder.
She gets well with them well. We talked a lot.
" Pavi, tell us about your boyfriend." Rose asked her. I felt myself freez at her question. Everyone is curious to know about that guy but me just looking at her with pale face. Why am I reacting like this? She is gorgeous girl, boys must make an que in front of her.
Her reaction stunned her. She is laughing at rose.
" I don't have an boyfriend. Never had before." Now we shocked at her reply.
" You, never had a boyfriend, why? You are goddess. " Lily asked.
" Mmm, it has lots of reasons. Due to study, traditional family background and most important I never felt drawn to any man before." She said.
" I can understand study, you are like Jason but family?" Rose asked.
" Ya, you too stuck in work like Jason God save us. But family I don't get it?" Alex said and Xandar supported him.
" As I said I am from traditional family. They expect me to get married to man that my family choose for me." She said making us shut up. My heart dropped into stomach. I felt like someone stabbed me. I didn't speak anything.
" You are going to arrange marryed? " Xandar asked.
" Ya, one day." She said.
" And what if you fall for man one day?" Lily asked her.
" I will tell my parents if they agreed then I will marry him. If not then I will get married to the man they choose for me. " She said last sentence with little sadness.
No one takes for a moment the Pavi started.
" Gyus it's not that bad. Now a day's lots of love marriages are made believed like arranged." She said.
I got confused. " How?" I asked.
" Let me explain, you come India for sudhha's marriage right. People believe that it's arranged marriage."
" Yaa, it was arranged marriage." I said.
" No, Jason. It was love marriage. They fall in love with each other in third meeting and that meeting was arranged by his parents." She explained.
We all have confused faces.
" Their friends and his father found out that he is in love with her so they arranged their marriage like arrange marriage for her family, because her family is also traditional." Now we got that and every body smiled.
" That's why groom spend three months to get permission from dad." I said with wide smile. I don't know but after hearing this I felt very happy.
" Yaa, that's why." She smiled looking at me. God her smile. It can melt Antarctica. I felt trapped in her eyes, both actually. Her black eyes starting at my blue eyes. I can see the adoration and respect in them.
Xandar coughed and we get out of trance. We spend time with each other.
I dropped her. We are getting along a lot better than I thought and my fear of getting attached to her is also increasing day by day. For a second I thought I pulled towards her.
We are going to site visit together, I am excited. We will spend lots of time together. I decide to complete some business their when I go their with her. It will be four hour drive. It will be fun.
