Chapter 70 Going Full Throttle Finished “Olivia, this bet of yours is way too risky!” Lucas thought Olivia must be crazy. Flow can she think of first place with Benjamin and Hudson in the racet Benjamin and Hudson both looked mildly amused at Olivia’s challenge.

It was soon time to race, and a dozen or so cars were already at the starting line. Amongst a line of powerful, majestic race cars, the pink GTR covered in Hello Kitty stickers caught everyone’s eyes.

“Oh my, where did this car come from? It looks like a haleous mascot!”

“You must be joking. Someone’s actually using this car to race?”

“Td be embarrassed just driving that car out Hudson and Benjamin each walked to their cars. The appearance of the two racing legends instantly caused a commotion.

“The almighty Benjamin!”

“Hudson, you’re simply amazing!”

The cheers and applause for the two rose into a crescendo as a group of gorgeously–dressed women screamed excitedly for their arrival. Their popularity was off the charts.

Amidst the cheers, Olivia walked up to the pink GTR, drawing a fair bit of attention toward her.

“I was wondering who’d drive a pink car like that. Turns out it’s a girl...”

“Girls just love pink and flashy stuff. Such a waste of this modified GTR to turn it into something so tacky.

“Am I mistaken there’s a woman competing today? Is this a joke?”

“What’s a woman doing in a race like this!”

Unlike the praise showered upon Hudson and Benjamin, everyone jeered right away when they saw Olivia.

Standing beside his red Ferrari, James looked on smugly as Olivia was ridiculed by the crowd. He deliberately said londly, “Olivia, you really have the nerve to claim you’ll take first place. And based on what? That pink toy of yours?”

James’s words quickly reached the ears of the onlookers, and upon hearing that Olivia claimed she’d take first place, everyone was incredulous.

“How much did she drink to talk like this?”

“A woman actually dares to say she’ll take first place?”

“Women should just sit quietly in the passenger seat. What’s she doing here, kicking up a fuss?”

A group of men laughed mockingly at Olivia.

A group of women laughed as well seeing Olivia in her T–shirt and jeans and glasses. One of them said 1/2 11:15 Sat, Jan 4 Chapter 70 Going Full Throttle car?”

#Finished That remark kick–started another wave of laughter. Everyone present, regardless of gender, thought Olivia was a joke.

James was very satisfied with the crowd’s reaction. He looked at Olivia and said, “Olivia, if you admit defeat now, it’s still not too late. Otherwise, when the race stars and you can’t even see everyone else’s tail lights, it’ll be a huge embarrassment.”

“If you can see my tail lights, it means I’ve lost,” Olivia said before opening the car door and getting in.

“Ugh, stop pretending.” James got into his car as well.

All the drivers were now ready in their cars, and the starter took his place. As soon as the starting signal was sounded, over a dozen cars roared their engines and shot forward like rockets!

Alice and Lucas had rushed to the live broadcast screen early on. The massive screen displayed dozens of split views, capturing each and every car in the race.

On the screen, all the cars moved off simultaneously. Benjamin and Hudson’s cars took the lead, heading the pack. The two cars were neck and neck, separated by less than half a tire’s distance.

Just as everyone was anxiously watching to see which of the two would pull ahead, on a winding mountain road, a pink GTR drifted past the bend at an astonishing speed, hugging the canal and overtaking both Benjamin and Hudson’s cars in an instant!
