Chapter 27 Darling, Remember to Pay the Bill Finished Under Michael’s watchful gaze, Alexander dialed the number he had never called before. It didn’t take long for the call to connect.

This was the first time Alexander had ever called Olivia, but he never got the response he was expecting. He thought she would be thrilled beyond words Instead, he was met with a calm and slightly puzzled voice.

“Alexander? Why are you calling me?”

“You really bought a piano at Carlos Harmonies?” he asked.

“Yeah,” Olivia answered casually.

Thinking about the few million she had just spent, Olivia added with a smile in her voice, “Darling, remember to pay the bill for me.”

Olivia tossed out another casual “Darling” without a hint of hesitation or concern, completely unaware that with each mention of the term, Alexander’s expression grew darker and more difficult to read.

Even after Olivia hung up, Alexander didn’t say a word.

Michael, noticing the strange look on Alexander’s face, hesitated. “Uh...”

“Write him a check,” Alexander finally said, his voice cold as ice.

But Henry didn’t dare ask questions. He obediently followed Alexander’s instructions and drove to Velvet Vogue.

It wasn’t until Henry saw Olivia sitting in the store that he understood why he had been sent.

“You’re here? Hurry up and pay the bill” Olivia said lazily, lounging in a chair.

Henry was left speechless.
