Chapter 106 “Just Who Are You?”

Sophia stared blankly at Olivia, the smile on her face about to fall apart.

“And you are?” Gavyn asked as he looked at the uninvited father–daughter pair in confusion.

Finished Trying his best to flatter the Sullivan family, Frank said “Hello, I’m the director of Quinn Enterprises. I’ve previously discussed the Lygon project with your director.”

The Sullivan Group was immensely powerful, and he dreamed of his small company hitching a ride with them.

Gavyn was upset to hear this. “I’m sorry, this is a family gathering. If you’d like to talk about work, please don’t disturb us at this time.”

Upon hearing this, Sophia clenched her fists behind her back. If this is a family gathering, why’s Olivia allowed to sit here?

Frank felt embarrassed but was unwilling to let the opportunity slip. He immediately said, “Mr. Gavyn, this must be a misunderstanding. I’m not here to talk about work. I just heard your son transferred to St. Rona Academy and happens to be my daughter’s schoolmate. Since they know each other, I came to say hello.”

As he spoke, Frank pushed Sophia forward. It was because Sophia had claimed to know the Sullivan family’s son that he eagerly came to build his network.

Gavyn’s initially displeased expression warmed up slightly. Since his daughter had recently been saved by Olivia, another student from St. Rona Academy, he had a favorable impression of people from that school. When he heard that Olivia was acquainted with his son, he loosened up his attitude toward her.

Noticing the shift in Gavyn’s expression, Frank breathed a sigh of relief in his mind. He knew his daughter was good–looking, and if she could get close to Hudson, it would be ideal.

“Olivia, is she also a classmate of yours?” Valeria asked with a smile.

Seeing the elegant and noble Valeria treating Olivia so well, disbelief filled Sophia’s eyes. How can someone like Olivia, a poor and plain–looking girl, catch the attention of the Sullivan family?

Capitalizing on their liking to Olivia, Sophia spoke up before Olivia could respond, “Mrs. Sullivan, Olivia and I are very close friends. When she transferred to the academy, I was the one who helped her get familiar with the campus.”

Sophia moved next to Olivia, pretending to be her best friend.

Olivia wiped her mouth and didn’t even bother to look up. “Just who are you?”

The smile on Sophia’s face vanished instantly. She never expected Olivia to pretend not to know her!

Hudson, initially reluctant to expose Sophia’s claim of being a “friend” due to being acquainted with Olivia, couldn’t help but feel amused after hearing Olivia speak up.

“Mom, Dad, I don’t know this young lady either,” Hudson said.

Hudson’s words were like a row of bombs detonating in Sophia’s mind. She never imagined things would turn out this way.
