The car stops on front of a stable where a group pf people are huddled together. Opening the car we step out and walk towards the group of people huddled in discussion who'd turned their attention to us.
"Lisa!" A guy yells and jumps up running over. I pause.
"Hey, don't worry our friends are total sweethearts," Naz says.
"Have you met Helix?" I ask a slightly ...expression on my face to which Naz chuckles.
"Fine, some of them are total idiots, but Helix is actually...hold on you've met Helix?" Naz says looking surprised. I halt, shoot I just exposed myself.
"Who's met Helix?" A guy says coming up behind Lisa and snaking his arm around her while burrowing his head into her neck. "You're new," He says seizing me up as Lisa runs her hands through his head. "I'm Pete, Lisa's boyfriend," Pete says to which I smile back extremely grateful for the topic change.
"A boy that is your friend?" I ask not wanting to allow the conversation return to knowing Helix to which she chuckles and shakes her head.
"The real deal," Lisa says to which I I reply, "Ah," Nodding. "I'm Hestia, Lisa's roommate," I say.
"Roommate? Wait, the Christian roommate?" He says his eyes widening. I stiffen, that comment. He was one of the people who were in the room making bets.
"Shut up Pete," Naz says lightly pushing him with his shoulder as he walks forward.
I glance at Naz. Was he there? Did he also join them in the comments? "Hestia are you coming?" Naz says to which I hurry up on over to him. He may have been there but at least he tried to protect me back there, right?
"Guys, this is Hestia, Lisa's roommate," Naz says making the introductions.
"Roommate?" A guy dressed in army green gear says and shares a look with another guy in dark blue gear. I didn't need much more evidence, these were the folks that had the bet on me while I was in the shower. Chuckling he walks over "Nice meeting you, I'm Justin," he says to which I don't take his hands.
"Hestia doesn't do handshakes," Naz explains smacking his hands away.
"Hi I'm Mimi," A gorgeous petite girl with curly black hair says a smile on her face.
"Hestia," I reply returning her smile with a half-smile.
"Kate," A blonde girl in navy blue and white riding clothes says with a British accent seizing me up.
"Leo," The last dude in dark blue says with a grin. "Where's Helix?" Naz asks to which Kate replies, "On a call," Making me slightly nervous. So he was here. How do you face the person who saw you naked?
"We've actually met before," Justin says causing me to pause.
"We have?" I ask trying to recall where. I though he looked familiar but I couldn't...
We were in the same psychology class last semester. Let's just say she's a special kind of crazy," the words from the dorm flow back into my mind.
So it was him.
"I don't remember," I state coldly.
"Not shocking, you never spoke to anyone you didn't have to," he replies chuckling.
"Hestia before he gets here do you want to go get changed?" Naz asks as I was still in my normal clothes, holding the bag of riding clothes in my hands.
"That looks new," Kate says to which I nod. "We just got them for me a couple of minutes back," I explain smiling.
"I need to use the restroom. Hestia wanna come with so you can get changed before Helix returns?" Kate asks.
"Yah that'd be best, Helix hates being held up," Mimi says.
And we care because he owns the ranch? Actually, he does. Shaking my head I reply, "Sounds good, thank you" I follow after her and Mimi who had decided to tag along. We step into the large building and walks through a corridor with glass walls.
We finally arrive at a hallway and walk towards a door that I assume is the restroom. However, it leads to a lobby of sorts with a tufted round grey ottoman and grey couches. It was also decorated with flowers and artworks.
I notice three doors. Lisa leads us to the one to the far left and we step into a gorgeous restroom.
"Hestia what are you studying?" Kate asks as I take off my top.
"I'm a psychology junior. You?"
"Civil engineering," She says shocking me.
"Wow that's amazing!" I say, genuinely shocked. I had never met a female engineer before. I knew they existed though few, but had never met one before.
"You have to be the first female engineering student I've ever met," I say taking off my pants.
"Well thank you, there's not a lot of us but we do exist," She says giggling.
"Are you a junior?" I ask.
"A senior, I graduate this semester, we all do," She says further surprising me.
"Wow," I say getting into the riding gear. "So you'll be an engineer in no time,"
"5 months to be exact but it all depends on whether i can pass the qualifying exams,"She says.
"I'm sure you'll be okay," I say encouragingly.
"Thank you, I hoe so. It's quite nerve racking but I'm trying not to dwell much on that right now. Plus Helix has been a gem helping me out," She says.
"He's an engineering student?" I ask surprised, not really sure what I expected him to be studying.
"He's a double major, he's a civil engineering and Architecture student,"
"Woah, how is that even possible?" I say opening the stall door truly shocked and thoroughly impressed.
She chuckles.
"Helix comes from a family of geniuses. His dad was..anyways he has a really high IQ and thought, why study to be an engineer when I can also study to be an architect and keep both funds in my pocket?"
"That's not true," Mimi says.
"Okay you're right he never said that, but knowing Helix that was probably his thought," she says to which we all chuckle.
I quickly was my hands while thinking how great it was that they truly did seem nice like Naz had said. Did I misunderstand the bet earlier then or where they not a part of it?
Shaking my head and deciding to let it go, we head back tot he group. As we step out I hear the sound of a dog barking and halt my steps.
"Whats wrong?" Mimi asks looking at me.
"I'm scared of dogs," I say.
"Oh no, no worries Sirius is friendly," She says.
"That's what every dog lover claims," I reply to which Kate and her chuckle. "But it's true, how about you hold onto me?" She asks.
I glance at her hand tempted. To hold her hand will mean I was depending on her and putting my trust for my life in her hands. I couldn't .
"It's okay," I say moving closer to her. "Just stay close to us," Kate says stepping to my side with me sandwiched between both girls as we approach the others.
My eyes fall on a tall guy dressed in all black walking towards the group with something blue in his hands, and his left hand stuck in his pant pocket. He was far but walked with great charisma and confidence. As if behind him were a thousand armies he was commanding.
"Helix!" Lisa yells. The dog immediately raises it's head and runs over to Helix. All our attentions also follow and focus on him as he bends and rubs it's head playfully. He seems to whisper something to the dog and throws the blue thing into the distance. The dog immediately dashes after it and into the horizon. Helix proceeds to walk towards us.
I didn't notice this previously, but he looked good. He was wearing a black fitted shirt with black pants, black boots and a gold shade walking towards us.
We join the group at the same time as Helix who stops in front of me. Taking off his shades, he reveals gorgeous blue eyes that shone brightly momentarily stunning me.
He tilts his head staring into my eyes. "You look quite familiar, have we met before?" He says a smirk on his lips.
