Chapter 9: 3-3-1: Clarkson Golden Knights (Game 2)

After Kyle Hayton stud out for all the right reasons, the St. Lawrence Saints head up the road to Cheel Arena to play the Clarkson Golden Knights as St. Lawrence will look to win a game over their hated rival. With 1:13 left in the first period, Chris Martin scored his second goal of the season to make it 1-0 St. Lawrence. Kyle Hayton and Steve Perry matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Skating Saints lead 1-0 heading to the second period. With 6:44 left in the second period, Mike Marnell scored his third goal of the season to make it 2-0 SLU. Hayton and Perry matched zeros for the remainder of the period so St. Lawrence leads 2-0 heading to the third period. With 3 minutes left in the third period, Gunnar Hughes scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-0 Saints. With 1:11 left in the third period, Gunnar Hughes scored his second goal of the season, his second goal of the game and into an empty net to make it 4-0 Skating Saints! Kyle Hayton shines like a diamond and St. Lawrence wins 4-0! St. Lawrence improved to 4-3-1 on the season!
