After a wonderful display of goaltending by Kyle Hayton in game two last weekend, the St. Lawrence Saints head to Lake Placid, New York to play the Colgate Raiders in a revenge game from last year. With 16:39 left in the first period, Darcy Murphy scored to make it 1-0 Colgate. Charlie Finn and Kyle Hayton matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the technical visitors from Hamilton lead 1-0 heading to the second period. With 18:56 left in the second period, Mike Marnell scored his eleventh goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. With 14:14 left in the second period, Darcy Murphy scored to make it 2-1 Raiders. With 2:37 left in the second period, Eric Sweetman scored his fifth goal of the season, on the power play to tie the game 2-2. Finn and Hayton matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-2 remains our score heading to the third period. With 17:27 left in the third period, Joe Wilson scored to make it 3-2 Colgate. With 1:22 left in the third period, Gavin Bayreuther scored his sixth goal of the season to tie the game 3-3. Finn and Hayton matched zeros for the remainder of regulation so 3-3 remains our score and we'll play extra hockey. With 10:26 left in overtime, Mike Borkowski scored to win the game for the Raiders 4-3. Colgate advances to the ECAC Hockey championship game for the second consecutive season.
