Chapter 29: 14-10-2: Rensselaer Engineers (10-4-0 ECAC Hockey)

After beating their rivals last Saturday, the St. Lawrence Saints return to Appleton Arena to play the Capital Region portion of ECAC Hockey teams, Rensselaer and Union this weekend as they jockeying for position continues. With 14:06 left in the first period, Alexander Dahl scored his third goal of the season to make it 1-0 St. Lawrence. With 8:43 left in the first period, Christian Horn scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 2-0 Saints. Kyle Hayton and Jason Kasdorf matched zeros for the remainder of the period so St. Lawrence lead 2-0 heading to the second period. With 18:35 left in the second period, Matt Neal scored to make it 2-1 Saints. Hayton and Kasdorf matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Skating Saints lead 2-1 heading to the third period. With 9:13 left in the third period, Mike Marnell scored his sixth goal of the season to make it 3-1 SLU! Kyle Hayton stops 21 Engineer shots and St. Lawrence wins 3-1! St. Lawrence improved to 15-10-2 on the season and 11-4-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
