Chapter 27: 12-10-2: Brown Bears (8-4-0 ECAC Hockey)

After an overtime thriller last night, the St. Lawrence Saints return to Appleton Arena to play the struggling Brown University Bears at Torrey Rink tonight. With 10:25 left in the first period, Christian Horn scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 1-0 St. Lawrence. Kyle Hayton and Tim Ernst matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Skating Saints lead 1-0 heading to the second period. With 9:31 left in the second period, Mike Marnell scored his fifth goal of the season to make it 2-0 SLU. Hayton and Ernst matched zeros for the remainder of the period so St. Lawrence leads 2-0 heading to the third period. With 12:57 left in the third period, Joe Sullivan scored his second goal of the season to make it 3-0 St. Lawrence. With 10:50 left in the third period, Nick Lappin scored to make it 3-1 Skating Saints. With 9:35 left in the third period, Gunnar Hughes scored his ninth goal of the season, on the power play to make it 4-1 Saints. With 4:34 left in the third period, Joey de Concilys scored to make it 4-2 St. Lawrence. With 4:20 left in the third period, Woody Hudson scored his fourth goal of the season to make it 5-2 Saints! Kyle Hayton finished Bruno off and St. Lawrence wins 5-2! St. Lawrence improved to 13-10-2 on the season and 9-4-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
