After blowing a lead last night, the St. Lawrence Saints return to historic Boston, Massachusetts to finish the weekend series with Northeastern at Matthews Arena. With 5:18 left in the first period, Matt Purmal scored his third goal of the season to make it 1-0 St. Lawrence. Kyle Hayton and Derick Roy matched zeros for the remainder of the period so the Larrys lead 1-0 heading to the second period. With 13:57 left in the second period, Kevin Roy scored to tie the game 1-1. With 4:34 left in the second period, Dalen Hedges scored to make it 2-1 Huskies. With 1:12 left in the second period, Gunnar Hughes scored his sixth goal of the season to tie the game 2-2. Hayton and Roy matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 2-2 remains our score heading to the second intermission. With 1:29 left in the third period, Mike Szmatula scored to make it 3-2 Huskies. With 43 seconds left in regulation, Kevin Roy scored to make it 4-2 Northeastern. Derick Roy finished off the Saints and Northeastern wins 4-2. St. Lawrence dropped to 8-9-2 on the season.
