The St. Lawrence Saints head into the Christmas break with a record of 8-8-1 through the first seventeen games of the season. St. Lawrence enters the holiday break with a four game losing streak and Kyle Hayton will look to put his game into overdrive the rest of the season. Gunnar Hughes will look to kick his game into overdrive as he'll need to shoot the puck more if St. Lawrence wants to capture the school's first ECAC Hockey championship since 2001. St. Lawrence faces an uphill battle as they try to rise from the ashes like a phoenix.
St. Lawrence will look to finish the season strong even after an up and down season so far. The aforementioned Gunnar Hughes will have some assistants to help him on offense and Eric Sweetman and Kyle Hayton will need to carry the load on defense for the Saints as they look to avenge their eight losses from earlier this season. So, will the Skating Saints finish the season strong? Will St. Lawrence get to championship status for the first time in fourteen years?
I hope you've been enjoying this story as St. Lawrence continues the grueling journey through ECAC Hockey and college hockey itself. College hockey is such an exciting game and St. Lawrence is right up there with the best of the teams and Saints fans have a lot to look forward to in this story and in present day as well.
