Chapter 14: 7-4-1: Princeton Tigers (3-1-0 ECAC Hockey)

After showing Cornell who's boss, the St. Lawrence Saints return to Appleton Arena to play the Princeton University Tigers on Friday night in St. Lawrence County. Kyle Hayton and Colton Phinney matched zeros in the first period so no score heading to the second period. With 16:21 left in the second period, Gavin Bayreuther scored his third goal of the season to make it 1-0 St. Lawrence. With 14:44 left in the second period, Christian Horn scored his second goal of the season to make it 2-0 Saints. Hayton and Phinney matched zeros for the remainder of the period so SLU leads 2-0 heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 2:42 left in the third period, Matt Purmal scored his first goal of the season to make it 3-0 St. Lawrence! Kyle Hayton finished off the 26 save shutout and St. Lawrence wins 3-0! St. Lawrence improved to 8-4-1 on the season and 4-1-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
