After a disappointing end to last night's game, the St. Lawrence Saints head to Ithaca, New York to play the Cornell Big Red at a ruckus Lynah Rink. With 8:49 left in the first period, Cole Bardreau scored to make it 1-0 Cornell. With 6:19 left in the first period, Gunnar Hughes scored his fourth goal of the season to tie the game 1-1. Kyle Hayton and Mitch Gillam matched zeros for the remainder of the period so 1-1 remains our score heading to the second period. With 33 seconds left in the second period, Nolan Gluchowski scored his second goal of the season to make it 2-1 St. Lawrence. Hayton and Gillam matched zeros for the remainder of the period so SLU leads 2-1 heading to the second intermission dressing rooms. With 18:40 left in the third period, Patrick Doherty scored his fourth goal of the season, short handed to make it 3-1 St. Lawrence. With 14:51 left in the third period, Woody Hudson scored his third goal of the season, on the power play to make it 4-1 Saints. Cornell Coach Mike Schafer pulled Mitch Gillam out of the net and so, Hayden Stewart filled in for the remainder of the game. With 7:51 left in the third period, Matt Buckles scored to make it 4-2 SLU. Kyle Hayton finished Cornell off and St. Lawrence picks up a massive road victory by a final of 4-2! St. Lawrence improved to 7-4-1 on the season and 3-1-0 in ECAC Hockey play!
