I woke up the next day feeling a little confused about what happened yesterday. Nevertheless, I got up and started bible time. Before anything else, my time with Jesus matters the most after Jesus, everything else.
"Good morning," Kate said while rubbing her eyes
"Heyyy," I said turning to face her completely.
She sat up and pulled out her phone. "What plan are we doing today?"
I smiled as she came and sat next to me. She was just in time as I put down my bible. I wasn't expecting her to start so soon but I'm happy she did.
A few hours later I was at the coffee shop chatting away with Kate about the random things in life.
"So like why is the sky blue? Wouldn't purple be a better color or the sun blue and the sky orange?" Kate said while cutting my sandwich in half.
"When God tells you the answer I'll check back in," I said while lightly chuckling. "Besides," I said while picking up my sandwich and walking backward to my table, " I think I--" I was cut off by surprise when my back bumped into something...someone. I didn't even bother looking up. I knew who it was.
"So we're back at it again huh?" Matthew said
"Howdy there," I said while turning around to face Mr. Hulk. He really wasn't that big but compared to me he was big enough. "Sorry for that,"
"No need to apologize It's my fault I was on my phone."
"It's actually my fault since my back bumped into you."
"It's both of y'all's fault because my question is still unanswered anyway so going back to the sky and it being blue..." Kate said
"Oh don't tell me you forgot 9th-grade science class info already. I thought your major was--"
"Of course you'd be the person to ruin my day, " Kate said before Matt could finish his sentence.
"Talk about manners, " Matt replied.
"Is it always going to be like this with you two?" I asked.
"Yes, " they both said at once.
"Alrighty then"
It wasn't long before Matt got his usual and he was on his way out. I quickly grabbed my things and had to run a few feet before my things started slipping out of my hand.
"Hey!" I said in an attempt to stop him
"Everything okay?" he asked turning around.
"Yes, everything is fine...I just wanted to say thank you for what you did yesterday...you didn't have to" I said while catching up to him.
"You're welcome"
"If there's anyway I could help you out or repay you in a way please don't hesitate to ask." Yes what he did was nice it was really thoughtful but I wasn't just gonna accept it like that.
He looked at me for a while before looking at anything but me.
"I said don't hesitate" letting out a nervous and might I add very fake laugh.
He smiled before he said "Follow me I'll tell you when we get there...do you trust me?"
"Yes"
We walked for about five minutes until we ended up outside of the library in a nice grassy area with roses neatly planted around the edges. We were the only ones here.
"Nice spot" I said while setting my things on the grass.
"Thanks I come here when I don't know what to do"
We were quiet for another three minutes until I said "Is there something I can do for you?" I wasn't trying to be rude but I wanted to know he needed me to do before I forgot he needed something from me entirely.
Silence
"Matthew..."
"I want to take you on a date" he said cutting me off. "I know that makes me look like a horrible person. It looked like I did what I did so I could take you out. Just so you know I didn't. I wasn't expecting anything in return but then today happened and you offered and I just...call me selfish but I couldn't..." he paused nervously stuffing his hands in his pockets before continuing again.
"Look I know we haven't known each other for that long I understand that and I'm probably not you're type but I figured it couldn't hurt right? I mean...not like that but what's a risk without taking a risk? I really am interested in you Rachel and I want to get to know you better....hopefully, what do you say? Go on a date with me?"

Let me explain...I'm in both high school and college so things are tuff right now and I'm putting school first before my hobby. However today I got a notification from a reader telling me to post a new chapter and I couldn't help but laugh. I found it hilarious and the person also motivated me so just because of that comment for the rest of the week you guys will be getting a chapter (or more) a day.
