I watched the CCTV footage on my phone, and as soon as I noticed that the noisy Alina had left, I shook my head and showed it to Evander.

He sighed as he relaxed on the chair and he pushed all the papers out of his front. “Ugh… I have a headache now… from. looking at all these papers because of her.”

I chuckled, “Are you complaining because you were looking at these for a few minutes,” I slammed my hand on my forehead. as I shook my head. “I have been working on these daily, since Dane got unwell.”

Evander took a deep breath as he leaned forward. “I came here to rest here… I had done too much work back home, Aurora.”

I pinched his chin as I was about to taunt him again. But, I decided to let it be… I knew Evander was single handedly handling the business back home and I knew how hectic it must have been for him.

“Fine,” I said and rolled my eyes, “I will have some mercy on you.”

“May the goddess bless you, dear sister.” Evander said as he placed both of his hands together and raised it in front of his

bowed head.

I clicked my tongue as I arranged my desk.

“Why have you called me here, Aurora?” Evander asked.

I nodded, “It has to do with Alina.”

“I guessed, with the way she was just snooping, Is it about her sudden reappearance and her claims?”

I nodded my head at him. “We need to help Piper and Warrick out in this… they can not outsmart Alina alone… they came here to ask for my help, and I can’t do it without some help.”

Evander shook his head. “And you think I am smart enough to outsmart that cunny girl?”

“I am here to help you okay? With us both, she doesn’t have a chance.“”

“Fine… what needs to be done?”

“We need to talk to Miles…”

“The young boy at the pack doctor’s place?”

I nodded my head at him, “But we can’t just go and talk to him like that… Alina would have her eyes on everyone, but at least we have some leverage, because according to her we are not heer

enemies.”

Evander sighed. “So how do you want us to talk to him?”

“I will go to the pack doctor’s place this evening in a bid to get

medicine for Tristan and then I will get to speak with

some

miles.”

“That’s good, should I come with you?”

“No… you can’t… I don’t want her seeing us in groups, she would be suspicious.”

I got up and then went to where he sat. I tapped his back and said, “I will get going now, stay here till I come, okay?”

He nodded and I walked out of the office.

got out of the pack house and I caught the eyes of Rowan and Lily, immediately they saw me, they walked up to me, Rowan bowed a little, “Good evening, Luna.”

“Good evening Rowan…” I replied as I kept walking, quickly looking around to make sure Alina wasn’t around.

Rowan walked along with me, “Luna… I heard the news about Alina’s pregnancy.”

I sighed. “What else did you hear?”

“I heard that she’d said Warrick is the father of the child.”

“Okay.” I said and kept walking.

“Okay? Is that all?… you do know Alina is lying right?”

I shrugged, “Rowan… I do not care about all of that… I have my own problems, my kids are here… I just want to focus on my family and some important issues for now.”

Rowan’s jaw dropped as she stared at me in shock. He swallowed and said, “Okay Luna…”

I nodded, “Warrick created this mess, let him clean it up.” I paused and stood in front of him. “We are having a get–together party soon… to welcome back all that had left and returned, including Alina.”

Rowan nodded at me, I continued, “Share the news… I will get preparations ready for it soon… now if you don’t mind, I have to get some medicine for my son.”

I walked away from Rowan, my heart squeezing as I knew I had hurt the poor boy’s feelings by disregarding him like that… but what can I do, I don’t know who Alina’s eyes and ears are in the pack.

I walked out of the pack gate and before I could take another step, Trajan raced up to me, “Where are you going without any guards, Aurora?”

I looked at Trajan and wondered if I should tell him my plans, I know I could trust him but I also know he might not be able to outsmart Alina… that girl is too cunny, I don’t need much people to be in on this… just me and Evander and probably Miles could do some underground work.

“Ermm… everyone was busy so I thought not to disturb…”

“Disturb?”

I nodded.

“What do you pay them for then, if it wasn’t to guard you,‘ Trajan asked as he raised a brow at me.

Why is he still following me? I have to find a way to send him back… I can’t talk to Miles with him there.

I breathed and came to a halt, he stopped too right in front of me. “Trajan… I want you to go to my office… there’s this contract file I want you to take, go to the border and give it to Raven, he should take it to our business partners.”

Trajan’s eyes dropped. “Now?” he asked.

“Yes!” I replied, firmly. “Now.”

Trajan grunted as he scratched the back of his head, before he walked back away toward the pack house.

I walked down the sloppy busy path and I reached the pack doctor’s place in a few minutes.

As I entered I kept my eyes down for Miles, but I couldn’t see him around.

Where is he?

I paced around the corridor for a while as I waited for him, I knew he was meant to stay outside as a guard, so if he had gone out he was going to come back in a few minutes.

I sighed as I turned and bumped into someone.

“Why are you here?”

I looked up to see Dane. My eyes widened in shock. What do I tell him?

I can’t lie that I was here for Tristan’s medicine, he knew that Tristan was well.

“Well?” I started as I scratched the back of my neck, “I have not been feeling too well so I have come for a pregnancy test.”
