room, âMaybe she is not the problem at all, she is the key⦠she started all of this.â
An evil grin crawled on my lips, âI will make her end it.â
I know that Orionâs army has fallen. I know I have gotten half of his army down.
I sat down and smiled as I thought of how I had snuck into a merchantâs cart right after and passed the packâs gates with ease.
I had rolled out of the cart and bruised my arm. But I didnât feel the pain; I knew my mission was successful. Now, I have to deal with whatever problem I have in my pack. I called Rowan and sat him down.
âThat symbol Piper found,â I said, leaning forward. âItâs not random. I know it has some sort of attachment to something dangerous. I need you to find out what it is.â
Rowan, still slightly uneasy around me, nodded. âIâll look through the archives. Iâll find something.â
âTake Piper,â I suggested. âShe has an eye for details.â
Rowan hesitated, his jaw tightening. âNo offense, but Iâd rather work with someone who wonât make me have an argument again.â
I sighed, understanding he was trying to avoid Warrickâs problem. Rubbing my head, I said, âLila, then?â
âYes,â Rowan replied without hesitation. âLila.â
After some hours, Rowan and Lila came to explain to me the result of their findings from delving into the dusty archives late into the night. âAfter hours of searching, I finally came across a tattered record with the same symbol that was on the dagger.â
I raised a brow as I listened keenly. âWell, here!â he exclaimed, holding it up. I leaned over, reading the faded text. âCalla had a rogue network, and it looks like Orionâs pack used her channels to gather intelligence and destabilize nearby packs.â
Lilaâs voice fell. âThey exploited weaknesses, internal conflicts, and strained leadership. This is exactly whatâs happening to us.â
Rowanâs fists clenched. âItâs obvious. Theyâre trying to break us from within, just like Alina did.â
Her name was a bitter memory hanging in the air. âShe was working with them all along, wasnât she?â Lila asked softly.
âIt makes sense,â Rowan said. âAlina wanted power. Calla wanted control. And Orion? Heâs finishing what they started.â
I just listened, my heart sinking, and I didnât say a word. The picture was clear: Orionâs pack was systematically dismantling our unity, exploiting every fracture in our foundation.
âWe need to dig deeper,â I said firmly. âI want every loose thread tied up. Every ally, every enemy, every opportunity find
it.â
Rowan and Lila nodded, determination showing between them.
