It was 12.00 am. Shehnaaz was still studying. She was trying to solve all the questions of a lesson. It wasn't easy for her but still she wasn't giving up. She was reading the formulas again and again and then solving the questions.
Suddenly her mother entered and said, "Shehnaaz Puttar inni raat ho rahi hai. Hun toh khaa le kuch."
"Mummy tussi jaao. Mainu nahi khana. Abhi bhi bohut saare questions baki hai." She said while writing.
Pammi Ji became worried and touched her head.
"Puttar tu thik hai na? Tenu bukhar sukhar toh nahi ho gaya si?"
"Mummy main thik hoon. Padhai kar rahi hoon, disturb mat karo."
Pammi Ji sighed and said, "Thik hai main khana de ke jaa rahi hoon. Ho jaaye toh khaa lena."
"Haan haan khaa lungi."
Pammi Ji left from there. After a while she came and kept the plate of food beside her books.
"Khaa ke plates kitchen mein rakh dena. Main kaal subah dho dungi."
Shehnaaz just nodded her head without looking at her. Pammi Ji left from there being confused. It was like she couldn't recognise her own daughter.
At 5.00 am...
Pammi Ji came to Shehnaaz's room to check on her. There she found her sleeping keeping her head on the open notebooks. And the plate was kept at its plate. She didn't eat anything.
Pammi Ji smiled sadly and went near Shehnaaz. She kissed her head and thought, "Babaji meri beti iss vaari sacchi mein mehnat kar rahi hai. Usse pass kara dena."
Then she took the plate of food and left from there.
In The Morning...
Shehnaaz woke up hearing chirping of birds. She yawned while rubbing her eyes.
Suddenly she saw her notebooks kept open on the table.
"Haayo rabba! Main so kaise gayi? Mera toh ek question solve karna abhi bhi baki hai. Inna time hogaya. School bhi jaana hai. Kaise karu?"
While thinking all this she again read the question. Suddenly something clicked her mind.
"Arrey isko toh aise kiya jaa sakta hai. Yeh pehle kyu nahi aaya mere dimaag mein?"
She immediately took her pen and started solving the question. And finally she did it.
At School...
Sidharth came to the class and the students stood up and greeted him.
But Sidharth's eyes only fell on Shehnaaz who was standing with a sad face. He knew the reason behind her sadness. He himself also felt guilty for scolding her yesterday. But it was needed. He did it for her own good.
Sidharth told everyone to sit down and then started taking class.
After sometime he wrote a question on the board and said, "Shehnaaz. Come here and solve this question."
Shehnaaz stood up and went near the board. She took the chalk and started solving the question silently. Sidharth was looking at her and wanted her to look at him for once. But she avoided eye-contact with him and left from there after solving the question.
Sidharth saw the blackboard and became surprised as for the first time, she did something correctly.
After taking the class he said, "Ok Students, this is it for today. Revise this lesson at your home and.... Shehnaaz..."
Shehnaaz stood up.
"Meet me at my cabin at the tiffin period."
Saying that he left. Shehnaaz sat down.
"Aaj toh tune koi gadbad nahi kiya. Phir Sir ne tujhe kyu bulaya?" Asked one of her classmates.
"Paata nahi." Replied Shehnaaz.
At The Tiffin Period...
Sidharth was sitting in his cabin and doing some work. Suddenly Shehnaaz kept her notebook in front of him.
"Iss mein lesson no. 5 ke saare solved questions hai. Dekh li jiye." She said with a poker face.
"Saare ho gaye? Let me see." Said Sidharth and took her notebook. He started checking it.
After sometime he smiled and said, "Well done. Dekha maine kaha tha na, koshis karogi toh ho jayega?"
She gave a sarcastic smile and said, "Yeh toh bas kaise bhi kar ke hogaya. Asal mein toh mujhe kuch aata hi nahi hai. Main toh kisi kaam ki hi nahi hoon. Itne din aap ka time waste kar ke liye sorry. Phir bhi ho sake toh kuch din aur mujhe jhel lena."
Saying that she was about to leave, when Sidharth stood up and hold her hand tightly.
"Idhar dekho." He said sternly but Shehnaaz didn't move.
Sidharth sighed. He hold her shoulders and turned her around making her face towards him.
He saw tears in her eyes and his heart pained unknowingly.
"Kisne kaha yeh sab?" He asked.
"Aap ne." She replied without looking at him.
"Kyu kaha yeh nahi jaan na?"
Shehnaaz nodded in no making a sad pout.
Sidharth chuckled and said, "Lekin mujhe baata na hai. Paata hai, life mein kuch karne ke liye hum sab hi ko ek push ki zaroorat hoti hai. Kaal maine woh hi kiya. Agar main tumhe woh sab nahi kehta, kya tum itni mehnat karke inn saare questions ko solve karti?"
Hearing that, Shehnaaz looked at him.
"Baatao." He said.
"S...Sayad nahi." She replied.
"Iss hi liye maine tumhe woh sab kaha. Aur tum bewajah bura maan gayi. Meri Gadhi No. 1."
"Haan toh mujhe bura laga. Hurt hua mujhe. Wajah chahe koi bhi ho, main aaj ke baad aap se baat nahi karungi bas."
Saying that she sat on his chair and started crying silently.
Sidharth nodded his head in disbelief and said, "Ab tumne rona kyu suru kar diya? Accha ek teacher ek student ko daant bhi nahi sakta kya?"
"Daant sakta hai. Lekin aap ne suru se kaha tha ki hum dost hai. Aur maine aap ko humesha apna dost maana hai. Lekin aap ne bhi mujhe bakiyon ki tarah kaha, ki main kuch nahi kar sakti. Mujhe bohut ganda feel hua kyu ki mujhe laga tha aap sabse alag ho. Aap ko bakiyon ki tarah mujh mein kamiya nahi dikhti. Bohut attached hogayi thi aap se. Mummy din bhar sau taane maarti hai, phir bhi unki baaton ka bura nahi lagta. Lekin pehli baar mujhe kisi ki baaton ka bura feel hua. Aap ne hurt kiya hai mujhe." She said crying.
Sidharth felt happy knowing that she was attached to him. But right then he needed to manofy her.
He held her hand and said, "Shehnaaz get up."
"Nahi." She said being stubborn.
"Sana woh meri chair hai."
"Mujhe fark nahi padhta. Main yaheen baithi rahungi."
Sidharth held her both hands and forcefully made her stand up. She was trying to free herself but couldn't when he hugged her tightly.
"Chhoriye.... mujhe.... Maine nahi karni.... Aap se baat...." She said sobbing.
"I'm sorry Baccha. Aage se koi baat hogi toh pyaar se samjhaunga. Thik hai?"
He broke the hug and hold his own ears.
"Now happy?" He asked.
"Thik hai maaf kiya. Lekin iske badle icecream aur chocolate khilana padega." She said both angrily and cutely.
"Ok Baby jaisa tum kaho."
Saying that he kissed her cheeks to which Shehnaaz widened her eyes.
"Tum jaa sakti ho. Shaam ko milte hai." He said.
Shehnaaz started leaving while holding her cheeks. She couldn't believe that he kissed her. Her mind went blank and heart started racing at that moment. Her innocent soul couldn't understand why just one cheek kiss was driving her crazy.
After school...
Shehnaaz was returning with Pinky. She was saying something but Shehnaaz was lost in her own thoughts.
"Pinky! Mujhe kiss karegi?" She said all of a sudden.
Pinky stopped talking and looked at her with wide eyes.
"Ek kiss karna gaal pe." She said.
"Kyu?" She asked being confused.
"Tu bas kar."
"Okay." Said Pinky and pecked Shehnaaz's cheeks.
After that Shehnaaz said, "Kuch nahi hua."
"Kya nahi hua?"
"Tune jab kiss kiya koi alag feeling nahi aayi. Lekin aaj jab Sidharth Sir ne kiss kiya tha, ekdam se meri puri duniya hi ruk gayi yaar. Ek pal ke liye kya hua, kyu hua, kuch samajh hi nahi aa raha tha."
"Sidharth Sir ne tujhe kiss kiya?" Pinky freaked out.
"Haan gaal pe. Lekin iss se pehle bhi kayi logo ne aisa kiya hai. Sidharth Sir ke waqt inna alag kyu laga?"
"Exactly kya feel hua tujhe woh baata."
"Bola na sab kuch achanak se ruk sa gaya. Dil bohut zor se dhak dhak karne laga. Aur aisa lag raha tha jaise pet mein kuch gur gur si ho rahi hai."
"Yeh aaj pehli baar hua yaa Sidharth Sir jab bhi tere aas paas hote hai, tujhe aisa mehsoos hota hai?"
Shehnaaz tried to think.
"Umm... Pehli baar toh nahi kahungi. Kyu ki jab maine unhe dekha tha mere saath ditto aisa hua tha. Aur jab bhi woh mere aas paas hote hai, mainu bada changa lagda si. Lekin aaj yeh sab kuch zyada hi mehsoos ho raha hai." She said.
"Sidharth Sir ke alawa kabhi kisi aur ke saath yeh sab mehsoos hua hai?"
Shehnaaz nodded in no.
Pinky smiled and said excitedly, "Oh My God! Shehnaaz main sab samajh gayi."
"Kya samajh gayi?"
"Yeh hi ki tujhe.... Sidharth Sir se.... Pyaar ho gaya hai."
Shehnaaz widened her eyes.
"K...k...kya bol rahi hai?.... P...p...pyaar aur unse?..... Yeh kaise ho sakta hai....B.. bakwaas mat kar....." She said nervously.
"Main bakwaas nahi kar rahi. Tu hi baata. Ek teacher aur student kabhi itna close ho sakte hai jitna tu aur Sidharth Sir kuch mahino mein ho gaye hai? Yeh pyaar nahi hai toh aur kya hai?"
"Nahi Pinky, yeh pyaar nahi hai. Pyaar toh main Nakul se karti thi. Uske saath toh kabhi kuch aisa feel nahi hua."
"Kyu ki Sana woh tera pyaar nahi infatuation tha."
"Matlab?"
"Matlab tujhe laga tu uss se pyaar karti hai. Par asli pyaar toh tujhe Sidharth Sir se hua hai. Aur mere khayal se woh bhi tujhse pyaar karte hai. Warna alag se tution dena, school ke bahar milna, cheeks pe kiss karna, yeh sab thodi karte?" Said Pinky in a teasing way to which Shehnaaz blushed.
"Aur abhi tere chehre pe yeh blush saaf saaf keh rahi hai ki tu unse kitna pyaar karne lagi hai."
"Par...."
"Accha tujhe yakeen nahi ho raha na? Apni aankhein band kar."
"Kyu?"
"Kyu ki maine kaha."
Shehnaaz closed her eyes.
"Kya dikh raha hai?" Asked Pinky curiously.
"Andhera." Replied Shehnaaz to which Pinky nodded her head in disbelief.
She kept Shehnaaz's hand on her chest and said, "Ab baata."
Shehnaaz could feel her own heartbeat. Suddenly Sidharth's smiling face came infront of her eyes.
She opened her eyes being shocked.
"Kya dekha?" Asked Pinky.
"Sidharth Sir." Replied Shehnaaz.
"I knew it. Tu abhi bhi kahegi ki tu unse pyaar nahi karti?"
A smile appeared on Shehnaaz's face.
"Tu sahi keh rahi hai sayad. Mujhe pyaar ho gaya hai Sidharth Sir se." She said with another kind of excitement. She was on cloud nine knowing about her own feelings.
She held Pinky's hands screamed, "I love Sidharth Sir. I love him."
Saying that Shehnaaz hugged Pinky. Pinky smiled being happy for her bestfriend.
Shehnaaz broke the hug and said, "Main tenu das nahi sakdi menu kinni khushi ho rahi si. Khushi ke maare toh menu zor ki bhukh bhi lagne lagi si. Chal kuch khaate hai. Subah se paani tak nahi peeya maine."
"Ek minute. Tune sach mein paani tak nahi peeya?"
"Nahi yaar. Asal mein subah chheti chheti school ke liye nikal gayi. Mera mood bhi kuch thik nahi tha isliye khane peene ka mann nahi kiya."
"Phir toh badhiya hai. Tu shaam tak muh mein ek niwala bhi nahi daalna."
"Par kyu?"
"Arrey aaj Karwa chauth hai. Lagta hai Bhagwan bhi chahte hai ki tu apne Sidharth Sir ke liye vrat rakhe."
"Oye! Yeh toh maine socha hi nahi." Said Shehnaaz smacking her own head. "Phir main kuch nahi khaaungi."
"Haan. Aur shaam ko toh tu waise bhi Sidharth Sir se mil rahi hai. Chaand nikal ne baad apne saaiyan ke haathon se kuch khaa lena. Haye kitna romantic moment hoga woh."
Shehnaaz started blushing heavily hearing Pinky's continuous teasing.
"Main... Main jaa rahi hoon. Bye." Saying that she ran inside her house while blushing. Today she realised how falling in love actually feels like.

In the evening she went to the ghat and they sat beside each other. Sidharth started teaching him. But today Shehnaaz was not saying anything and listening to him silently. She was feeling good to hear whatever he was saying. She was staring at him like a crazy lover and smiling for no reason.

Sidharth just smiled looking at her and let her stay like this for sometime as he was also feeling good.

"Narazgi khatam hogayi hai. Par agar aap khud khila doge toh zyada accha lagega." She said looking at him.
Sidharth smiled and made her eat the ice-cream unknowingly breaking her fast. Shehnaaz felt blessed as her love broke her fast.

At night, she couldn't sleep well as all the time she was thinking about Sidharth and the moments she spent with him. Soon it became her daily routine as he snatched her sleep totally.

Before she could complete, Sidharth put his finger on her lips making her gasped.
He then moved towards her ears and slowly made her wear the rings. Shehnaaz forgot to breathe feeling him from this close.

Days passed like this. Shehnaaz started improving a lot in her studies. And besides that her feelings for Sidharth had also started becoming strong.
One day she was writing something in the last page of her notebook while smiling continuously. No doubt she was thinking about Sidharth.
