Omuhayashi and Goddess

It’s yellow… probably egg, covered with a thick brown sauce, which smelled indescribably good and stimulated my appetite, making me drool.

The sauce was filled with meat and vegetables, and something was bulging under the egg.

I gulped.

“Please enjoy! I hope it suits your taste.”

The Goddess urged us to eat, so while wondering if someone like me was allowed to enjoy such a delicious-looking dish, I decided to eat.

“Mhm. Delicious! The marriage of the egg and ketchup rice with this sauce is magnificent!!”

“Richmond, as usual, your food reportage is excellent. Thank you.”

The fact that Lord Dragon praised the dish and the Goddess thanked him with a wry smile means that this dish may have been prepared by the Goddess herself.

Thrilled by the feast I had never seen before, I scooped it up with a spoon and put it in my mouth…

“We are grateful to Lord Dragon and to the Angels, too. However, I heard that this is the paradise created by you, the Goddess. Lord Dragon said that you would welcome us here…”

“Th, the village was certainly created with my skill, but, umm, I was lonely because there were no villagers, and it was hard to manage the village’s fields and houses on my own, so, you know, if possible, I would be happy if you all could help me manage the village… And the houses will last longer if there are people living in them.”

I am not the only one who was surprised by what the Goddess said.

“Goddess, you are not only willing to let us stay here, but you are also offering us a house and a field!?”

“? Yes, of course. I will provide a house and a field for each family, and you can use them as you like.

Kanade’s Point of View

“Richmond, did I say something weird?”

The kids didn’t say anything either, so I wondered if we could go on with the introductions.

At the sound of my voice, the young man with cat ears suddenly said, “Yes, that’s right!! I apologize.” and bowed his head. Then, the other four followed with bowing their heads, so I had to repeat myself, “As I said, you don’t have to do that.”

“Then, let me begin. I am Kanade Fujii. I am 15 years old, and I am the village chief of this village. I live in a house at the back of the village with Richmond and these children. Please come visit me anytime. Nice to make your acquaintance!”

Yep. I’m sure this introduction was fine, right?

“I’m next. I’m Richmond. I’m a dragon, as you know, and like you, I was picked up by Kanade. Please take care of me from now on.”

Richmond’s smart self-introduction surprised the dog-eared man, who asked, “Did, did the Goddess save you, too, Lord Dragon!?” But the introductions continued.

“I am Lui. The other day, I was abandoned in the woods and was picked up by Mother Kanade and Grandpa Richmond. I think I am 10 years old, because I was once told I had been kept alive for 10 years.”

“Arthur. Same as Lui.”

Compared to Lui, Arthur’s introduction was short.

Both of them are still small for 10 years old, but they started getting taller in the last few days, so I am sure they will grow up soon.
