"Good morning Audrey!" I hear Emma call my name as soon as I get through the door at work. She's busy bringing in the new shipment boxes from the back.
"Hey." I make my way to her and start helping.
"How was it yesturday?"
Remembering the date, I start to smile.
"Well, I take it that it went well considering that smile."
After I tell her about the date, Em starts to squeal "You two are so cute! No need to thank me for playing cupid slash match maker."
"Tone down your voice, I think you just popped my eardrum. Plus I met Nate first. You didn't technically set us up."
"Yes but without my help you two would have never gotten together. You especially needed a push. Wait no, more of a shove."
Can't deny, she is right.
"Hey ladies, I'm going to be in my office if you need anything." Dan surprises us when he enters the store.
We just nod our heads.
We decide to put out the new shipment we got in and chat to make time go buy faster.
"I disagree about that. I think Samsung is better. Plus the iphone is overrated and overpriced." I respond. Emma and I started talking about Apple and Samsung because she brought up that she wanted the new iphone.
"If I wanted my phone to blow up then I would get the samsung note 7. I value my safety thank you very much." She smirks.
"Those phones are already recalled plus they have other types of phones to choose from." I defend.
"Whatever. Apple forever."
Im about to say something back when I hear someone approaching. Thinking it's a customer I say "Can I help you?" But when I turn, I see I was wrong.
Aimee just looks at me with a scowl.
"So, Aimee what are you doing here? I thought you were off." Emma asks as if she was uninterested in the answer.
Aimee just ignores her and goes straight to the back office.
"Well, good morning to you too." Em adds loud enough for her to hear.
"She looks happy today." I retort sarcastically.
"She's just mad Nate likes you and not her."
"How would she know? I haven't told her anything. It's not like we talk."
"I forgot to tell you. When Nate had explained to me what happened after he visited you to explain things, he told me that Aimee had continued calling him nonstop. Tired of her, he told her that he likes you and is planning to ask you out. He even told her nothing was ever going to happen between them."
"Oh." It's all I can think of too say.
"Yup, I'll be right back, I gotta go to the restroom and drink some water." Em lets me know.
Several minutes later Aimee leaves the office and come straights towards me. I try not to look at her but it's hard to when someone is staring you down barely 6 inches away.
"You know you and Chris are never going to last. He will get bored of you and forget you. Someone as rich as him can have anyone he wants. Why would he stay with you? I mean look at you." She looks me up and down. "Just thought I would let you know." She even smiles at the end.
"Well just thought I should let you know that your acting like a bitch."Â It came out of my mouth so fast I was surprised I said it.
She stops smiling, lowers her voice and adds "Your going to regret taking Christopher from me." It's weird hearing her call him by his real name.
"What the hell Aimee? Back the fuck off." Emma tells her. I didn't even notice she came back.
"Have fun with him because it won't last. Don't say I didn't warn you." Is all Aimee adds before leaving.
"Ignore whatever she said. She's just being an asshole. Nate didn't pick her so she's mad at you."
I try to shrug it off. But I admit it's going to be on my mind for awhile.
"Hey, could you girls come to my office?" Dan yells from the back.
Emma gives me a hug "C'mon let's go see what the boss wants."
We go to the his office and notice him looking through the schedule.
"What's up?" Em asks.
"So today Aimee came in to tell me that she won't be working anymore." I side eye Em. "I was wondering if one of you knew someone who needs a part time job to cover the shifts?"
"Actually my boyfriend Matt is thinking about getting a small job. I can ask him."
"Great. Can you ask him now?"
"Um, okay I'll call him."
"Let me know. Thanks."
We turn to leave and she takes out her phone and dials Matt.
"Hey babe, still looking for a job? Good because Aimee quit and there's an opening. Are you interested?"
After they talk back and forth Emma says "I'll let Dan know."
She hangs up "Matt is excited to work! I'm going to go tell Dan. Plus aren't we lucky we don't have to see evil Aimee anymore?"

2 Weeks Later
"Hey, I didn't know you were coming." I let Nate in the house. He's carrying some bags.
"Well I came to bring food and celebrate." He puts the bags down and gives me a kiss on the lips.
On our third date he officially asked me to be his girlfriend to which I said yes. Emma has joked that we are almost inseperable.
I hear Kay coming into the kitchen and she starts singing "Nate and Audrey sitting on a tree, K-I-" I stop her by throwing a towel at her.
"Hello Nate. What's all this?" My mom appears. She loves Nate and is happy we are together.
"I brought food to celebrate that Kingston Inc. now owns Kemah Boardwalk."
"Congrats!" My mom tells him.
"So this means that I will be officially moving and staying in Kemah to overview everything." Nate looks at me and smiles. I'm glad because for awhile I was worried that he might move back to California. This is my first relationship and I can't imagine how hard a long distance one would be. Plus I would really miss him.
We all sit down on the table and start eating and talking.
I look around as we all start laughing at a silly joke Kay made, I realize that I'm really happy.

Aimee P.O.V
I can't believe he is still with that bitch. What does she have that I don't? I'm way prettier than her.
My parents are mad at me because I didn't make him fall for me. We are basically broke now. The money they made from selling the parks was used to settle the debt leaving us with basically nothing. Christopher was going to be our way out. If he and I got together it would have saved us. I would be able to just be a housewife and never have to lift a finger again. Speaking of, I'm glad I left that annoying job. I deserve to have anything I want without working.
He will be mine. I just have to break him and Audrey apart.
