I can’t believe it! How dares he?! Who he thinks he is? It’s not as he is my mate. Well, actually he is but he can’t act like my mate when he chooses to! He is nothing for me! Nothing! Didn’t he have understand the message yet? I don’t want him not after everything. Still, I have to recognize that he is very persistent. I was thinking he would have given up already. I mean he is chasing me for 6 months now. And every time, he is acting possessive like he just did, it’s called something on me. I can a sort of satisfaction and this is even more annoying! What’s wrong with me?! I’m better than that! I don’t need him. I don’t want to feel anything for him. I need to run maybe it will help me to cool off.

Running was exactly what I needed. And I feel better while I’m joining our rooms. Hopefully, Noah would have left. I can see Tom’s waiting for me outside the hotel.

“Do you feel better?” He says giving me a towel.

I nod and take it: “Thanks!”

“Tell me he left, please?” I add.

“Nope, he is still here.” He says smiling.

“Why are enjoying this so much?” I comment annoyed.

“Because he finally manned up and put a claim on you! And you didn’t deny his claim.”

I shrug even more annoyed. Running is not enough apparently.

“Come on princess, you are fighting a battle that you’re already loosing. You two together are unavoidable.”

“Whatever you say, Thomas!” I scroll.

“Come on Selina! You have to forgive him. He is your true soulmate. Nothing is better than to be with him. Trust me. Everything is just perfect when you are with the being made for you.”

I laugh, a dry laugh: ” Who would have believed you will have this kind of speech 3 years after we met.”

He laughs too: “Not me for sure. I would have thought you were crazy.”

“And told me to go fuck myself.” I add.

We both laugh.

“More seriously, I know how you suffered and still suffering from your loneliness. He is your chance to never feel like that again.” He says when he calmed down.

“If only it was that simple.”

“It could be if you let him in.”

“How can I trust him with my heart after he broke it multiple of time?” I ask.

“He will not do the same mistake. He is too guilty for that.”

“And how do you know it’s not the guilt that’s pushing him to pursuit me?”

“It’s not. I can see how he looks at you. How he longs for you.”

“I don’t know.”

“I get it you don’t trust him but trust me.”

“I will think about that.” I say sincerely.

“Good. Until then, can you play nice with him, please?”

I smirk: ” You know me!”

“It’s what I’m afraid of.” He replies trying hard to hide is smile.

The mission went well and Noah stayed with us all along. I’m now in the castle and I just had an annoying meeting with the council. I try to avoid Alpha Dean who is trying to push me to mate his second son Enzo.

“What do you want Dean?” I ask as he runs toward me. I can see him clamp his jaw as I don’t use his title.

“I want you to have a diner with my son, as I already asked you a few months ago. He is more than qualify to be King at your side.” He replies.

“I’m not only looking for a King, but I’m also looking for a mate I can trust.”

I don’t want to have a macho by my side who with try to overrule me as soon as I turn my back.

“You need someone strong by your side. You can’t rule alone!” He says.

“She is more than capable to rule alone! You’re overstepping your rank right know Alpha Dean.” Noah says in my back.

“What are you doing here? I thought you were not welcome here.” Alpha Dean says with disdain.

“What he is doing here is not your business, as the person, I will choose as my mate.” I say.

“Sorry Princess, I just hope you could give a chance to my son.”

Well, you are too persistent for that! And what I heard about your sons is not attractive at all.

“There is no need for that, she already has a mate.” Noah replies.

“You don’t deserve her!” Alpha Dean says.

“I know but it’s life. I will spend my life to make it up for her.” Noah says, makes me want to roll my eyes.

“You may go now, Dean. See you at the next meeting.” I order Alpha Dean. He nods and leaves, not happy but not having the choice.

When he disappears I turn toward Noah: “I can fight my own battle. I don’t need you.”

“I know! It’s just he was pissing me off. Moreover, his sons are assholes! Believe Five minutes with one of them it’s worst than an appointment with your dentist.”

I shake my head: “What are you doing here?”

“I wanted to see you.”

“And what if I was busy?” I challenge him.

“You mean busy as when you were making out with that twin’s wolves?” he replies arching an eyebrow.

That was not what I was thinking but why not.

“Yes...” I reply.

“Well, I would have to take action again.” He replies cockily.

“What’s twin wolves you were making with?” I hear Dad ask in my back.

“Nothing. Just Two Beta’s twin that I met last week!” I say blushing.

“What is it with the female in our family and Beta’s twin?” He mutters as Uncle Alec laughs at his remark.

“What are you talking about?” I ask not understanding.

“Nothing! And you better stay out of our daughter’s sexual life if you don’t want to sleep in the cough.” Mom says.

“You could have say love life, my soul. Now I will not be able to sleep tonight!” Dad complains.

“You should not be curious about her life then!” Mom replies.

“Noah, you’re eating with us?” She adds looking at him.

“It will be with pleasure!” Noah replies smiling.

I roll my eyes. What an ass licker!

“Great! See you in two hours.” She replies.

“Let’s go! ” She adds taking dad’s hands. Uncle Alec follows them.

“You’re parents look as crazy as my parents. No wonder why they are so friends!” Noah comments.

“I know! They are perfects.” I reply smiling.

“One day we will have that.” He says dreamily.

“I promise we will!” He adds sure of him.

“Whatever...”

“Please, give me a chance to prove I’m the right one for you. I will do everything for you. Everything! I will give up everything for you. Please.”

“That’s exactly what I don’t want!” I reply annoyed.

“I don’t understand. What did I say to upset you?”

“I don’t want you to give up anything! Don’t you get it even after having spied in my head? I want someone who accepts me for who I’m not what I’m. How is it possible if you have to sacrifice a part of yourself in the name of my title!” I reply before storming away. How can someone be so impossible!
