Yesterday being the last day of school before Christmas break, I took a long sleep and woke up around one in the afternoon. The first thing I did after waking up was checking my phone to see if my friends replied back but not a single message popped up in the notification. I decided to go to their chat box and to my dismay, they have left me on 'seen'.
What's gotten into them?
Did I do something?
Are they gonna break friendship with me? No! It can't happen. What should I do? Should I go to their houses to know what's the matter? Ugh! It's hurting my head, and I just woke up. It's not a good combination, so I went to clean myself and eat something to tame my hunger.
It's almost 4 p.m. when my phone beeps, alerting me that I got a text from Aiden.
Aiden:-
Hey beautiful! Dress pretty by 7 p.m. and wait for me.
Me:-
Why? Are we going somewhere?
Aiden:-
Yes sweetheart, we are going out somewhere.
Me:-
Where are we going? Is it a date?
Aiden:-
It's a surprise and yes it's a date.ð
Me:-
At least tell me what to wear?
Aiden:-
Doll yourself upð
Me:-
You mean to wear a dress?
Aiden:-
Um...I don't know, is that what I mean?ð¤
Me:-
Ugh! Fine. I'll doll myself up for you.
Aiden:-
That's my girlð
Me:-
Mhm...byeð
I smile while reading our chat and quickly run to my room to check my wardrobe to find a dress and its matching accessories, so that it becomes easy to get ready later. I picked out a black bodycon dress which reaches till the thigh with a grey shrug . This dress was gifted to me by my mom one year ago as a Christmas present , and today is the first time I got the chance to wear it, so I'm excited.
I decided to watch something on Netflix until it's time to get ready. While I was scrolling through Netflix, my phone beeped and turned my attention to the phone and checked. It's a message from mom telling me that she and dad will come home late which is fine by me cause I won't be home. I also told her my plan with Aiden today just to let her know, and switched my phone off.
ONE AND A HALF HOUR LATER
Deciding it's time to get ready, I turn off my laptop and go to have a warm bath. I apply shampoo on my hair and shave my legs before wrapping the towel around my body and hair. I decided to do light makeup cause I don't like using it much. After applying eyeliner, mascara, foundation, a little bit of rouge on both the cheek bones, I put on strawberry flavoured lip balm.
I check myself in the mirror and do the last touch up after dolling myself up as he said. It's currently half past six, which means I still have fifteen minutes before seven. To utilize the fifteen minutes, I go to the kitchen, open the refrigerator and take out a chocolate to eat. I am a chocolate lover, any chocolate works for me, but the best is Dairy Milk chocolates. No other chocolate can beat the product for me, it's that delicious and mouth watering.
I was licking the wrapper clean when the doorbell rang, I hastily threw the wrapper in the bin, and cleaned my hands and the area surrounding the lips, retouched my makeup again and opened the door a little breathless only to be knocked out by this ravishing boy standing in front of me in a dress shirt and pant.
"Hi!" I greeted him, my voice squeaky. He smirked, clearly knowing the effect he has on me.
"Hi! Are you ready to go?" He says with his hand stretched forward for me to take. I quickly put on my knee length boots before locking my house and placing my hand into his.
This time he brought a Sedan car with him which I have never seen him drive, not that I've seen him drive any car but you get the point, right!
"Is that your car?" I ask him and he nods.
"I haven't seen you with it before," I say and he nods again and say,
"Yeah I don't usually drive my charm, especially in school as I don't want people to scratch it or dirty it. I like to keep my charm neat and shiny. So I drive it only for special occasions, and this is one of my special occasions." I nod my head and go to open the car door to the passenger seat when he holds my arm.
"Let me be a gentleman, and open the door for you." He says in a weird accent which makes me laugh. He pouts a little so I squish his cheek, he looks so adorable. I giggle and his eyes snap to me before turning his pout into a wide grin.
"Okay, enough. Let's go now." He said and went to the driver's seat before closing my side of the door.
"So... where are we going?" I asked him while turning on the radio. Watermelon sugar by Harry Styles was playing. I bobbed my head to the song waiting for him to reply but it never came.
"Please Aiden, tell me," I whined, pouting. He just chuckled.
"If I tell you now, it won't remain a secret baby," He said and bopped my nose. I crossed my hand under my chest and sulked. It's not that I don't like surprises or I have less patience, it just becomes nerve wracking when you don't have any idea where you are going, and it just builds up the excitement and eagerness to end the surprise. I'll be sure to give him the taste of this eagerness, and let him suffer. But for now, I'll wait for him to reach the destination.
After forty five minutes of driving, he stopped the car. I looked out the window to see a beautiful cottage with different types of flowers planted on the sides of the pathway that leads to the cottage. Aiden opened the door for me and lent me his hand to hold which I happily accepted. He led me to the backyard of the cottage and the sight in front of me left me breathless.
There was a table for two placed in a gazebo. Fairy lights were hung everywhere; on trees, bushes, and even on the top of the gazebo. Along with the fairy lights, heart shaped balloons also filled the space; some hanging up and some on the ground surrounding the gazebo. I looked around in awe. The backyard being covered with bushes of all kinds with flowers growing on it, gave the place a natural scent which was amazing. He held my hand and walked over to the chair before dragging it back to let me sit.
"Aiden, what- who's cottage is this? And when did you get the time to do all this?" I asked after he sat down across from me, still mesmerized by the beauty of it.
"This is my family cottage. My friends and I come here during vacations to enjoy ourselves. Mom and dad have decided to give it to me once I grow old enough to handle it," He informed me and I listened to it with awe.
"And when did you do all this?" I asked, waving my hands around the backyard indicating all the preparations.
"Yesterday," He replied. So is that why he wasn't in school the whole day? Did he skip school for me? Oh god, yes he did! I thought.
"I see, was this the reason for your absence yesterday?" I asked just to confirm. He nodded his head and I squealed internally.
"Did you do this all alone? Damn it! It's awesome." I complimented him on his creativity.
"Thank you, but I didn't do it alone." He said and I looked at him confused. Seeing my confusion he continued.
"I had our friends help me out. It was the girls' idea to make it seem this romantic. I just told them that I wanted to take you out on a date when Blake told me to use this cottage, and as soon as the girls saw the place they started ordering around what to do and what not to do. It was torture to listen to their orders, but the result came out very good so I'm not complaining. This is why they weren't in school yesterday, and I told them to not talk to you because they were so excited that I was afraid they would spill it to you." I listened to it very intently as he spoke. I felt bad for being mad at them. It was all for me and I thought so badly of them. I'll apologize to them as soon as I meet them.
"Okay since this was what happened, I'll forgive them for ditching me, but aren't we missing something?" I asked cautiously looking at the empty table in front of me.
"Are we?" Aiden asked with a smug look, and I nodded my head.
"What is it then?" He asked.
"We aren't sitting on this chair to stare at the empty table, now are we? so, where is the food? Shouldn't we be eating and talking about anything we want?" I asked him.
"Have patience my dear," He said before clapping his hands twice. I looked at him curiously as to why he was clapping. Someone appeared from the back door of the house wearing the chef whites with a tray of drinks. His face was yet to be seen, and imagine the shock I got when I realized the waiter was Jake. Behind him came Blake with food.
"What are you guys doing here?" I asked both of them once the shock wore off.
"We are serving food to our customers," Blake said with a wide grin plastered on his face. I roll my eyes at his answers while the three of them grins.
"Are the girls here too?" I ask them
"That's for us to know and you to find out." Jake says and I pout.
"Okay that's enough. Now you may go and let us continue with our date peacefully," Aiden said, trying to shoo them away. They laughed at that before going back inside.
"Wow...if I knew they were doing a hell lot of things for this date; I would've never thought of being angry at them. I guess I was mean." I told him and he chuckled before waving his hand.
"It's alright, you didn't know this would happen. Let's forget about it and enjoy the meal. I specially made them for you after asking your mom what your favourite dish was." He said and I looked at him with my mouth open.
"Close your mouth before flies get in," Aiden jokes, and I quickly closed my mouth.
"You made the whole dish?" I asked him in amazement. He really wanted this date to be perfect for me. How did I end up with such an amazing being? I still wonder.
"Yes, I did, and I'll do it again if it's for you," Aiden said and I felt my heart melt. He is so sweet, I don't know how to handle all the sweetness.
"Now taste it, and tell me how it is because I'm dying to know," He added. I just nodded before tasting it. I moaned as soon as the steak touched my taste buds. It was really delicious and it tasted different, a good difference.
"It's really good," I told him as I took another bite of the steak.
"I know that now. Your moan was enough to know how good it was," Aiden smirked and I blushed deep red.
We finished our food and dessert; laughing and joking around. I thought we were going to head back home but suddenly I heard 'Perfect' by Ed Sheeran was being played on a piano. I looked over Aiden with confusion. He just smiled before extending his hand.
"Would you like to dance?" He asked and I swear my heart melted for the second time. I happily accepted the dance and swayed to the music.
"Who is playing the piano?" I asked him as I leaned my head against his chest.
"It's Julie, who is playing the piano," Aiden informed me and my head snapped to him.
"Jules? She is here and she knows how to play piano? How? When? Why wasn't I informed?' I asked as questions came to my mind.
"Yes Jules is here and she knows how to play piano since forever. Now, why didn't you know is something she should answer." Aiden told me and I nodded. I looked into his eyes and thanked him for everything he has done for me. He smiled softly before leaning in; not breaking eye contact. I leaned in too and as soon as his lips touched mine; fireworks went off, and I broke apart to look at it with glee.
I quickly turned towards Aiden for an explanation, and he told me Carrie set these off. I nodded and he didn't waste his time capturing my lips again. The kiss with the fireworks going off set the fireworks in me to burst; making my stomach all mushy. After the toe curling kiss we shared; we were out of breath. I was still in the moment; dancing and feeling his lips on me.
"Let's take you home now. It's almost midnight" Aiden said.
"What about our friends?" I asked him and he told me we can meet them tomorrow. I nodded my head and he led me to his car.
We were now standing at my door, looking at each other and smiling. It was a beautiful night for me, and I will always remember it.
"Thank you for this. It was a beautiful date." I told him and kissed his cheek before waving at him and going into my house. I reached my room as soon as I heard the engine roar and cleared my face of any makeup; changed into my nightwear and got into my bed. Sleep soon came to me and I was out like a baby.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter. I know it's a little lengthy than the other chapters, but I wanted to showcase the Date in one single chapter.
Also, I'm a bit late. I had a cold and a sore throat, I could hardly concentrate the first few days. Now, I'm perfectly fine and hopefully will be able to upload the chapters within a week. No promise though....hehe!ð ð
