I barely got some sleep yesterday. It was hectic so, I woke up pretty late and rushed to the bathroom to get ready for school.
I wore a simple white top and a black jean. I ran downstairs to the kitchen and grabbed an apple and went out.
I reached towards the school panting. 'I'm screwed today' I thought to myself and hurried to my first class.
As soon as I opened the door, all the head snapped towards me making me a little uncomfortable, but I was in no state to say anything as I was the one who was late.
"Ms. Kiara...aren't you too early for the class?" Mr. Paul asked me and the others snickered. Well Mr. Paul is the old man who teaches us English.
"Sorry sir, it won't happen again "I apologized and quickly went to sit near Carrie. As soon as I landed my butt on my seat, Carrie whisper yelled at me, "why were you so late? I had to tell you about my date with Blake."
"I need pin drop silence, everybody " Mr. Paul yelled from the front making us all shut our mouth.
After the first half we were sitting in the cafetaria waiting for Aiden and group as Carrie told us how amazing her date went.
We all were listening to Carrie when suddenly, there was a commotion in the entrance of the cafetaria. We all shifted our gaze to the commotion.
I saw three girls walking in wearing very short dresses and stilettos. They seemed popular.
"Carrie, who are they?" I asked turning to face her. "They are your much awaited bitches" she says.
I look at them I had a feeling that they were the populars, the way they were walking and flirting with boys as soon as they entered the cafetaria, it made me gag.
"The blondie walking in the middle is Brittney, the girl to her left with shoulder length hair with bangs is Melissa and the girl to her right with long brown hair is Audrey" she introduced them while I nodded my head.
Just as they sat down in the middle of the cafetaria, Aiden and his friends entered and looked around the cafetaria. When they spotted us they started walking towards us when Brittney with her high voice called out to him.
"Hey! Aiden" she chirps and snakes her hand through his neck.
I was carefully watching his every move to prove him I was right about him being a player.
Maybe he was gonna give into her but he caught my eye and swiftly removed her hands from his neck. I averted my eyes cause his eyes were on me. While Brittney was trying to flirt.
Ugh! He is so careful. Why?
He gave no notice and started walking towards our table. Blake and Jake were already seated in between Carrie and Julie.
Aiden came and sat beside me leaning into my ear and whispering, "disappointed...are you?" As he moved back to his seat he had a stupid smirk which I so badly wanted to slap off his face but resisted the urge and started eating.
I had finished eating and was talking to Carrie when suddenly Julie leaned on her seat to gain our attention and spoke in hushed voice, "Kia, Brittney is glaring at you for a long time now."
I glanced towards her table and saw her glaring as Julie pointed. "Why is she glaring at me like that guys?" I asked them. "No idea, Kia" Carrie said.
"I think its because Aiden was too close for her liking." Jeremy muses completely amused by the situation, while Daniel tries to keep his laughter at bay. "There is nothing to laugh Daniel," I sneered at him not at all amused.
It became irritating as Aiden also joined in, so I stood up from my seat and exited the cafeteria fuming with anger.
I don't understand what was there to laugh in it. She was glaring at me for some reason but others were so eager to come up with their theories. It's irritating to hear them laugh when I'm uncomfortable. I know I'm being over dramatic but I can't handle them laughing at me for no reason or the thought that me and Aiden are close when I don't like him.
I hear footsteps behind me. I walk faster not in a mood to explain my irritation and go to the library. But whoever was following me holds my arm stopping me from entering the library.
I turn around to find Carrie and Julie panting. "Can't you walk a little slow? I was about to die due to loss of breath" Carrie says trying to catch her breath while Julie just nods.
"Who told you to follow me?" I asked them.
"What! you expected us to sit there and worry?" Julie asks and I just shrug.
"Whatever, why did you run out of the cafetaria?" Carrie asked me.
"You may think I'm being over dramatic but I didn't like the way they were laughing at me for something which they made up also the glares from Brittney, it was just so irritating that I left" I explained.
"Okay, we get it but next time wait up for us...got it?" Carrie asks me trying hard to be serious. "Yes mom." I mock her and we find ourselves laughing.
Nothing else happened in school. The classes went in a blur and soon it was time to go home.
"Hey, Kiara!" someone calls me, I turn around to find our whole group with Aiden, Blake and Jake standing near the parking lot.
I walk up to them, "yeah?" I ask.
"Kia, don't ignore us" Daniel says and Jeremy chimes in, "we were just having a little fun and we didn't mean to irritate you."
"Oh come on are you still stuck there? I've already let the matter go" I say with a smile. "I knew you couldn't resist my handsomeness" Daniel says winking and I just scoff playfully and say "yeah! yeah! keep saying that to yourself" everyone starts laughing.

I'm at home reading a book when my phone tings with a message. I check my phone and see that the message:
Carrie:
Hey! Julie and I am going shopping at 5:00pm. Wanna join?
Me:
Sure. Where to meet?
Carrie:
I'll pick you up ten minutes before 5.
Me:
Ok:)
After accepting her offer I look at the clock. Its 4:15 now, thinking I still have 15min before getting ready, I resume reading my book.
I look at the time and start getting ready. I wore a sweatshirt and a jeans and applied eyeliner and lip gloss and wait for her to pick me up.
After five minutes, I heard a honk and got down to exit my house before informing my parents.
I reach her car door of the back seat and settle in. "What's with the sudden shopping?" I ask as I get comfy.
"Well...Blake and I are going to another date on Thursday and I need a pretty dress" Carrie says giddily. "And Jake wants to take me out tomorrow and I don't have an outfit," Julie says squealing. It takes me by surprise but also happy. "I'm soo happy for both of you" I say genuinely meaning it.
After a bit of squealing and laughing we reached the mall.
I didn't want to buy something so I just accompanied them. "Kia, aren't you buying anything?" Julie asks to which I shake my head no.
"Come on...buy something or else I'll buy something for you" Carrie says. I thought it was better to buy something of my liking rather letting Carrie choose, so I agreed to them.
I was shuffling through the dresses when I caught a beautiful peach lace dress with sleeves. It was pretty. Carrie must have seen me staring at that dress cause she picks up the dress from the rack and squeals, "Kia, it will look pretty on you. Why don't you go check it out?" Carrie suggest to which I nod and go to the dressing room.
After finalizing my dress, they both find dresses for themselves and go to the changing room. Carrie comes out after a while wearing a baby blue dress which stops at her knee. "How is it?" She asks to which I give a thumbs up, "it's really pretty."
She goes in to change out of her outfit when Julie comes out wearing a cute pink fluffy dress. It matches her blush. "Julie you look awesome, I'm damn sure Jake won't be able to keep his eyes off you" I say happily.
After shopping, Carrie drops me at my house. I reach my room and quickly getting out of my outfit and go to kitchen for dinner.
Mom, dad and I eat dinner happily, dad telling us about his work and me, telling them about my school. Over all, it went pretty good.
I got to my room and start doing my homework. Homework was completed, so I thought of talking to Lila and Jonah. I called Lila and then Jonah putting them in a conference call. They both answered their phones.
"Heyaa! What's up? Its been too long since we spoke." I said with happiness. They greeted me back.
"I know, its just we are too busy to have a conversation" Lila told me making me sad as to they don't have time for me. "Yeah" Jonah agreed. "Oh.... I hope you all are not busy right now" I said. "Actually, yes we are" Jonah said and Lila Continued, "we were both getting ready for a party right now."
"Oh...okay then, I'll talk to you later guys" I said disappointedly. "Bye!" they both chirped and declined the call.
I was really disappointed to know that a party was more important to them than me after all we've been friends for too long. I think the distance between us is the reason they are drifting apart from me.
I kept my phone on the night stand and got into my duvet and drifted to sleep.
