I slept peacefully after talking to Carrie for about one hour.
The next day, I entered my school premises a little early. I spotted Julie and the guys standing with Aiden and his friends and laughing over something.
I walked towards them and greeted them, they greeted back. At that time I noticed that Carrie and Blake were missing. "Hey guys, where are Carrie and Blake?" I asked.
"Carrie said she is ill." Julie informed me, a frown appeared on my face. "Ill?...She talked to me yesterday and was perfectly fine. What happened suddenly?" I asked confused.
"Maybe she fell sick today morning," Daniel suggest, I nod still a little confused.
"What about Blake?" I asked. "He'll be coming soon" Jake informed. I nodded and after a while, we dispersed into our classes.

It was break time and we were all seated in cafetaria table with our food.
"So...it's Friday tomorrow." Julie says breaking the silence, "and....?" I asked not understanding what she wanted to say.
"Oh come on.....it's Friday, which means party!" she said smiling wide.
I shook my head, " no...I'm not going to any party."
"Oh please...don't be a party pooper now." she whines.
"Party pooper? When did I ever poop in a party?" I asked amused.
Everyone snickered at that.
"Very funny Kia," Julie said sarcastically.
"Kia...is that what they call you?" Aiden asked me and I nodded.
"Okay...Kia," he said smirking and I hit him in the shoulder playfully saying, "it isn't a bad name" I defended myself.
"I never said it was a bad name," he mused and I scoffed at him.
"OMG! You guys are soo cute together." Julie squealed gaining some attention towards our table.
"No...we're not." I say , "I agree," Aiden chimes in. "By the way...seriously 'OMG'?" I ask my eyebrows raised.
She smiles sheepishly at that.
Other than that, we talked, laughed and enjoyed our break. Soon the bell rang, informing that our break was over.
We threw our waste in the trashcan and went to our next classes.

The classes were boring as hell. I was tempted to sleep but didn't dare as Mr. Lutkins was a scary old brat who hates people who don't listen to his teachings.
We all met near Jeremy's locker.
"Guys...gonna go somewhere?" Jake asks us. Everyone agrees except me.
"Kia...don't you wanna come?" Daniel asks me. "Sorry guys....I need to go check up on Carrie," I say apologetically. They nod in understanding.
We bid our goodbyes, and I started walking towards the bus stop as I don't have a car sadly.
I heard a horn honking behind me which caused me to turn around.
I spotted a Toyota, I squinted my eyes to see Aiden sitting there looking at me. I stopped and he smiled. â²Ugh! Not now' I thought.
"How are you going to Carrie's house?" Aiden asks from inside the car. I point towards the bus stop.
"I'll drop you." He said, I look at him confirming what I heard and then ask, "why?"
"Well...for now we are friends so there is nothing bad in me helping you out," he replied shrugging, I nod at what he said. "So...are you coming in or wanna walk to her house cause the bus has come and gone while you were listening to me" he informed me smirking.
I stood there dumbfounded. 'when did the bus come? Why didn't I see? I had a lot of questions in my mind, but was soon broken when Aiden snapped his fingers in front of me.
All I could say was "huh?" He laughed at this and said, "I know what you are thinking but trust me it wasn't my intentions."
"So...want a ride?" He asks again. I think for a moment, even I know that I won't reach there by walking and I had no other option so I nodded. He took the hint and unlocked passenger seat.
"Look around your surroundings, I won't be there all the time." he said teasing me.
"Now don't act like a life saver" I scoffed, "it means you saw the bus but didn't inform me, so it is all your fault. You did it intentionally."
He just smiles and drives off to Carrie's house. I sit there in silence, it was tempting as I never liked silence. I was gonna give up and try conversing when he stopped the car. I glanced outside the window to notice we were parked outside Carrie's house.
I get out of the car and mutter a quick thank you before skipping to her house.
I ring the doorbell, on the third bell the door opens. Carrie's mom, Jennifer smiles at me from the door and hugs me.
"I heard Carrie is ill, how is she?" I asked Jennifer, her mom. "She had food poison after eating dinner yesterday, now...her stomach aches a little but she is fine," Jennifer assures.
I nod at her. "Carrie is in her room, I'll be in the kitchen, if you need anything ask me." She smiles again and walks off to the kitchen while I go to her room.
I knock at her door, she opens the door and hug me, I hug her back. "Kiaa!! I'm happy to see you, my day was boring due to this stupid food poisoning" she scoffs dramatically while I laugh.
We talk for a bit, "hey, don't you have a date today?" I asked her. She nodded "but I don't know what to do, he called me and told me the time for the date. I am not prepared, I have no dress and I look like shit."
"Well...I know you are fine so, go take shower and I'll find some cute outfit for you" I assured her.
"But, I want this to be special, I don't want to wear my old outfit," she whined.
"Listen here Carrie, Blake is taking you on a date to spend time with you, not to inspect your dress. He will not mind what you wear, if he likes you back...got it?" I asked her raising my eyebrow. "But- I cut her off "no buts, go take a shower" I push her slightly towards the bathroom.
After getting Carrie ready, we were waiting for Blake to arrive. He told her that he would come at 6:00pm. Five minutes before six we heard a horn, Carrie literally ran to the door in excitement. She opened the door and was immediately engulfed in a hug.
She told me to ho home after waving at me and locking the door as Jennifer went for grocery shopping.

After reaching my house, I straightaway went to the kitchen for something to eat, but was met by my dining table filled with food and people sitting around.
"Kia, you're back home. Go freshen up, I'll introduce them to you later. I nodded scanning each and every person's face, they were all my parent's age except two boys who seems to be my age and a girl who was maybe younger than me. They all were talking and I was not able to see their faces so I went to my room to freshen up.
I wore a cute blue dress which stopped on my knees.
I did a little make-up and made my way to the kitchen. I was starving but my bad luck, I have to eat little in front of everyone.
I entered the kitchen and sat on the only available seat beside one of the boys. My mom breaks their talking and introduces me, "everyone, this is my daughter Kiara." I smile a little.
I tuned out their voices as they started introducing themselves to me. They all are my mom's colleagues, who are re-uniting here at our house.
My mom could've messaged me, but no she had an excuse of being busy. If I had known that I will have to sit here and get bored out of my mind, I would have stayed at Carrie's house and chatted with Jennifer after she comes from shopping.
I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard a familiar name being called. I looked up to the lady who was introducing me to her sons.
"Kiara, he is my son Aiden and his friend Jake." Mrs. Oliver, I suppose told me. I looked at them narrowing my eyes while they simply smirked.
"Mary, we know each other. She studies in our school." Jake says.
'Mary must be her first name. Not bad' I thought.
"Oh..is it so?" My mom asks a little excited. "Yeah mom" I said smiling a little. "Well...that's good isn't it Mary?" My mom says happily while Mary nods her head in same enthusiasm. Then they start talking to themselves.
I look at them for a moment and ask, "weren't you all going somewhere?"
"Yeah!... we came back an hour ago." Jake said shrugging. "Oh.." that was all that I could say. Aiden was awfully silent. I glanced at him to find him munching on his food.
I looked away and ate my food. "Kia!" My mom called me, "go show them the house, after all you know each other. "
I sighed before getting up from my chair and walked out of the kitchen followed by Jake and Aiden.
"So...how's Carrie?" Aiden asked out of the blue. "She had food poisoning, but now she is okay" I tell him. He nods while I show them the house.
"-And, this is my room" I tell them and open the door. They both come in and look around.
"Let's stay here for a while, I don't want to go down." Jake says while sitting on my bed. I shrug while Aiden sits on the chair.
We chatted about random stuffs, mostly Aiden annoying the hell out of me and Jake enjoying him torturing me, when my mom came into the room. "Kia, where is your childhood album?" She asked me while smiling at the boys.
I looked at her horrified. The boys must have seen my reaction cause they snickered. "Why do you need them?" I asked, she replied," I want to show them your photos."
"Why mommy?" I ask composing my anger. "I'm not gonna give that to you, I know what you are doing."
She smiled at me and said, "Why are you denying, you look cute in your flower costume." I groaned "Mommy!!" The boys laughed at that.
I somehow convinced her to go without the album. I hid it two years ago because she has a habit of showing it to anyone and everyone who comes to visit us.
"Hiding your childhood photos...huh?" Aiden asks smirking, I scowl at him. 'I regret coming home today' I thought angrily while the boys kept on laughing.
I was tired after my mom's get together that I straightaway went to sleep.
