After some seconds without Chelsea answering Dennis's question, he change his question.
" Or don't you believe in love?" He asked and Chelsea just looked away, everywhere else but at him.
" It's a lie, you can't not believe in love, it is atrocious not to. Love is everywhere and it is a crime not to believe in it or that it exists" He commented.
" You will say so because you are in love, according to you" She told him," How will I be sure that it is love and not passing fancy, that will diminish after some month or years, because anyone that can pronounce the word love , can say I love you from their mouth and not mean it from their heart" She added sorrowfully, " And FYI love hurts in the worst possible way, if it isn't reciprocated. It only feels good to love somebody and somebody loves you back, but when it is one sided it is the worst feeling possible " She added.
" Yeah it's true if the person loves you back, story of my life" He agreed, referring to their love, "But Don't commonize my love. I don't know what you have gone through in the name of love, but it exists. It's just to look in the right place and right person, some people are just not meant to be together and them saying they are in love will end up terribly" He said," And yes, I am in love and not ashame to say so, unlike you " He added.
" What do you mean by that?" She asked.
" You are so into me" He boasted.
" Who told you so?" She asked.
" You" He answered.
" When, how?" She asked astonished by his confidence.
" By the way you look at me, the way you treat me and other things" He replied.
" And how do I look at you or treat you that tells you I love you?" She asked, " If it is this way I don't think you understand what love is " She told him .
" I don't want to argue about love with you or about our love " He told her with finality.
" That's if our love exists " She muttered.
" Stop denying it too much, because it will sound as if you are trying to hide it " He told her.
" Whatever you say, at this point I will agree to anything you say " She said in surrender.
" That's better, I think we are getting somewhere " He said.
" If you think so " She replied," I hope so" She murmured hopefully.
" What did you say?" He asked, since he didn't hear what she said.
" Nothing" She replied, thankful that he didn't hear what she said and the hopeful tone in which she said it.
" When is it?" He asked her.
" What?" She asked, not getting what he was asking about.
" Your birthday" He answered.
" I thought we agreed to forget about the discussion of my birthday and you should know when it is, since you said you saw it on Facebook" She told him
" Who agreed with you?, Me I don't think so and I don't remember agreeing to such a thing " He replied," And I'm asking for the exact day , I just want to confirm " He told her, as he looks down uncomfortably without saying anything else and trying to bring out his phone to check.
" Oh you didn't check the exact date." She said to him, catching on that in his excitement to discover something new about her , he forgot to check for the date of her birthday, "Wow, this is rich coming from you. Later you will say you love me" Chelsea murmured.
" That's so cheap. A love you never or haven't reciprocated. And now that it has come to this you want to use it against me" He told her, " This is why you can't ever be the bigger person between the two of us" He murmurs.
" What did you say to me?" She asked.
" Nothing" Dennis said.
" I don't think so" She replied.
" Just forget I said anything" He said.
" I'm always the bigger person all the time" She insisted.
" Wow, I guess this is you behaving like the bigger person, you don't say" He taunted her.
" And I guess you saying I'm not behaving like the bigger person, shows you are the bigger person. Wow so rich and benevolent of you" She taunted him back.
"Stop behaving childish" He told her.
" It is you that is behaving childish" She lashed back.
" I think you don't have any fear for me"He told her.
" Why would you want me to fear you?" She asked," I believe respect is better than fear anytime and any day " She added.
" I guess this is you showing me respect" He commented, " Sometimes a little fear is not a bad idea "He added.
"If you say so. We are friends and friends shouldn't fear friends " She told him, "We friends after all, right?" She added
" As if" He replied with a laugh.
" What do you mean by that and what's so funny?" She asked him, offended by his reply.
" Well like I usually argue, you don't show it, because if this is how you treat your friends, I'm sure Kevwe would have left you" Dennis said" I think you just reserve this treatment and your bad character for me, do you think it makes me feel special or something?" He asked.
" Take that back" Chelsea insisted, " And I don't have bad character " She argued.
" Never" He replied.
" You will " Chelsea warns.
" Is that a threat?" Dennis asked.
" We will see" Chelsea replied.
" Mr. Morgan" Lucy shouted.
" Yes" Dennis shouted back from the kitchen.
" Your order is ready" She added.
" I think that's my cue to live" Dennis said
" When did you order or even had time to . When you have been talking and arguing with me this whole time?" She asked surprised.
" They call it online ordering, my love " Dennis told her playfully, while touching her nose , " See ya" He said to her, with wave as he headed towards Lucy.
" Come back here. We are not done" Chelsea whined.
" If you are not, I am for today. I have had enough dose of our fight that I can take for today" He told her as he collected his order, with her walking behind him," But on the matter if your birthday, we aren't done and I will find out one way or the other. And Facebook is a great place to find out " He added.
" I haven't finished discussing this and you aren't allowed to go through my Facebook book page or any of my social media page, that's technically stalking " She told him.
" Says who,you?" He asked sarcastically.
" Yes, me" She replied.
" Are you the social media police or what?" He asked.
" Call it whatever you want "She replied.
" And for your information, it is not stalking. But me being a good follower " He said to her.
" Says you, the social media expert?" She asked sarcastically.
" Yes, I will say I am an expert"He replied.
" That was a rhetorical question Denny " She mocks him playfully, using his pet name and nickname.
" I wouldn't take that as an insult, this is your way of roping me into another one of your arguments and quarrels that will drain my energy.This discussion, quarrel and argument is over" He told her with finality," Even though I secretly or usually enjoy our fights, which I have discovered is yours and our regular way of flirting with each other. But It is he that runs today, that lives to fight another day" He said to Chelsea," And thanks dear" He greeted Lucy as ignored Chelsea and Walked out.
" Dennis" Chelsea shouted," Oh my God, he just walked out on me" Chelsea murmurs to herself, as Dennis existed her restaurant.
" He did" Lucy jokes .
" Oh, keep quite, it is not funny" Chelsea told her, " Where is Kevwe?" She asked Lucy.
" She is eating inside the restaurant " Lucy replied.
" Well that's great of her to abandon me like that and goes to enjoy herself" Chelsea said unhappily.
" But from where I was observing and listening to your conversation with him, I thought you were enjoying your banter" Lucy told her.
" It was not a banter, we were just discussing " Chelsea told her.
" Wow, what an important discussion " Lucy joked sarcastically.
" Don't use that tone with me , I am your boss" Chelsea warns her, " And it is true, we were just discussing " She insisted.
" Hmmm, Okay if you say so" Lucy said with unbelieve.
" You should go back to work and stop eavesdropping on other people's conversation" Chelsea told Lucy unhappily, as she matched outside her restaurant and shop after Dennis
" Yes Madam " Lucy replied back unhappily and went back to work and Chelsea went after Dennis to apologize to him, Incase he was really offended about the things she said or did and the way she behaved, she was trying to act tough.
