ã~â ~ã
Chapter 31
Sunansh and Sania reached the bhanushali mansion and headed straight towards their room ignoring the people sitting on the sofa.
âDekha maaji aaj Kal ki Bahu me tameez nahi hai. Yahan saas baithi hai, aur ye fudak fudak ke chaldi apne Kamre meâ
(See mother nowadays, daughters-in-law don't have any manners. I'm sitting in front of her and she is flying to her room)
Suman complained to Gayatri who was watching Ramayan on the television and as usual Suman was being ignored by Gayatri.
âcontrol Sania controlâ
Taking a deep breath, Sania moved further holding sunansh's hand.
âDekho Dekho, kaise mere bete ko khinch ke leke ja rahi haiâ
(See how she is dragging my son)
âCan you please stop this behaviour of yoursâ Sunansh said, frustrated by his mother's tantrums.
âDekha didi mera beta mujhse kaise baat karta haiâ
(See sister how my son talks to me)
âHaa Mami ji, biwi ke aane ke baad sab Badal jata haiâ Soumya, who was sitting beside Neerja comments.
âBhai please can we continue this star plus drama after the break, I'm hell tired right nowâ Sania retorts being exhausted.
âYou call our talks as drama?â Soumya gasped dramatically and for a split second Sania saw the long lost sister of Sunansh in Soumya.
âMy papa ka para is far better than this auntyâ
âIs this what your parents taught you? Disrespecting others?â Soumya again commented, sunansh was about to reply to her but Sania held his hand stopping him and herself stepping forward towards Soumya.
Soumya closed her mouth sensing the heated gaze of Sania, looking at her mother-in-law for help who ignored her and continued watching Ramayan with her mother Gayatri.
âOye Lal jhandi Apna muh band rakh diyo, kisi din bahut pitogi mere hath se and haa old people like you don't deserve respectâ
(Oye red flag, You will get beaten up by my hand one day if you don't keep your mouth shut)
Saying this she headed to her room with sunansh following behind controlling his laugh.
âWhy do you always give people weird nicknames?â He asked once they entered the room.
Sania ignored him and laid on the bed with face buried in a pillow.
âhmmmâ A moan left her mouth feeling the soft mattress, feeling like home.
âthe pillow smells like himâ
pulling the pillow closer she smiled sniffling it. but soon flinched sensing the touch around her ankles.
âchill, I was just removing your shoesâ Sunansh replied, when she got up hurriedly sitting on the edge.
âDon't touchâ She said when he was about to touch her feet.
âYou think a husband should not touch his wife's feet?â Sunansh asked with wide eyes not expecting Sania to believe those ridiculous beliefs.
âThen?â He asked again, looking at her reaction which clearly states NO.
âI hate it when someone touches my baby,â She answered, carefully removing her sneakers.
âwaise papa ke pare, tera khandan pehle natak company me kaam karta tha kya?â
(By the way, Did you family worked in drama company in the past)
Sania asked, placing the sneakers beside the bed making sunansh laugh and shake his head.
âWhy?â He asked.
âTeri family ek mauka nai chodti drama karne kaâ her answer made him laugh more.
âYou don't have dimples like Ansh bhaiâ She said, unknowingly touching his cheeks.
âso softâ She thought, running her hands on his clean shaved cheeks.
âDon't call him Anshâ Sunansh said immediately, holding her hand which were grabbing his cheeks.
°°°°°°
âCall him Siya, we should hurry upâ Shanta said while packing some necessities in the basket.
âAnshâ Siya knocked on the door and quickly turned around when she heard a gasp from behind.
âHow many times should I tell you a wife should never call her husband by his nameâ Shanta scolded her and Siya tched ignoring her mother and again knocked on the door.
The door opened and her father came out of the door with Reyansh following him behind and now it was her time to gasp looking at him.
âà¤à¤¿à¤¤à¥ à¤à¥à¤¡ दिसतà¥à¤¯ हाâ
(He looks so good)
She looked at him in awe, who was wearing a green kurta along with white cotton dhoti draped perfectly with gandhi topi resting on his head and a gold chain enhancing his beauty, looking like a maharashtrian.
Taking the kajal from the corner of her eyes she applied it behind his ear, making his ear turn red and her mother angry while father looked happy seeing his daughter happy.
âलाठà¤à¤¿à¤µà¤¾à¤²à¤¾ थà¥à¤¡ बिनडà¥à¤ मà¥à¤²à¤à¥â
(have some shame you dumb girl)
Shanta again scolded her, smacking her back while Siya as usual ignored her, wincing in pain but Reyansh did not like the way someone hit his wife even if the culprit is her own mother.
he was about to say something but Siya shook her head not wanting to create any drama.
âShanta!! For god sake stop this behaviour of yoursâ Shivaji said frustratedly, as Shanta turned around not liking his tone and walked inside the kitchen.
Giving a small smile to Reyansh he followed his wife inside the kitchen and asked in a low voice âCan you please stop taunting her, let her live peacefully. she is married nowâ
âThat's what I'm saying, she is married and she should behave like one. Calling son-in-law by his name, using informal speech while talking to husband is proving how mannerless she isâ Shanta defended herself, not liking how her daughter is behaving.
âStop just stop it!! The one being mannerless is you, not my daughterâ Saying this Shivaji walked back to the living room.
âBabaâ Siya sulked walking to her father, side hugging him.
âSee your son-in-law is not letting me eat vada pavâ She complained to Shivaji, pointing at Reyansh who looked confused not knowing when they had conversation regarding âVADAPAVâ
âà¤à¤¾ à¤à¤¾à¤µà¤ बापॠमाà¤à¤¾ सà¥à¤¯à¤¾ ला à¤à¤¾ नाहॠà¤à¤¾à¤ दà¥à¤¤â
(Why are you not letting her eat)
Shivaji asked in a fake angry tone, patting her head. Reyansh looked nervous not knowing what to answer.
âमॠनहि बà¥à¤²à¥ नहà¥â
(I never said no)
Reyansh answered quickly as he was afraid that Shivaji would think he was not taking good care of his daughter.
Siya tried to control her laugh but couldn't and burst into laughter followed by Shivaji.
âà¤à¤®à¥à¤®à¤¤ à¤à¥à¤²à¥â Shivaji answered looking at his confused face, who was still confused, not understanding the marathi. Siya walked to him still giggling looking at his face and said â he was just jokingâ
âWhere is he?â Siya asked about her younger brother who was not in the house since morning.
âHere he comesâ Shivaji answered, where Shravan just entered the house doing something on his phone.
âGet ready, we are going to jejuriâ Shivaji said to his son.
âAnsh, behave like a normal human being don't try to act like alien who doesn't believe in godâ
°°°°°°
"Why, Bhabhi also calls him anshâ her question made him sigh as he sat beside her while holding her hands.
âBhai never liked anyone calling him Ansh beside Gauri maa. Once dadi made this mistake and he clearly stated that no one is allowed to call him that except Gauri maa.
Me and avyansh Bhai never called him with this name even though we knew he would not mind it but we choose to respect his boundaries.
And about bhabhi calling him Ansh, wo miya-biwi ke Bich ki baat haiâ
(that's the matter between husband and wife)
Sania made an O face while nodding her head. She knew the brothers were not blood related but the bond between them never made her feel that they were step brothers, not real brothers.
In today's generation were brothers fight for properties , these Bhanushali brothers fight for âHow many hearts should they have in front of their name in contact listâ
âBut if you want, you can try calling him Ansh only if you are not afraidâ Sunansh said controlling his smile looking at her face.
âWho said I'm s..scared of Reyansh bhai and pass me that tshirtâ she said pointing at the cloth lying on the chair. Picking it up from the chair he passed it to her who signalled him to look away while he shook his head in no leaning against the cupboard.
âI wanna change so turn aroundâ she said, tying her hair in a bun.
âMm hmmâ Sunansh denied again shaking his head with a playful smile lingering on his lips.
âKitna besharam hai yaar tuâ
(How shameless you are)
Sania let these words in disbelief . ignoring her remark he walked towards the study table, picking up his office bag and took a few steps towards her, bending down to her height he moved his lips near her ears and whispered slowly.
âYou didn't mind me seeing you half naked in towel earlierâ and picked up the file which was lying on the bed and walked out of the room leaving a flustered Sania behind whose cheeks are burning in embarrassment and shyness.
âHe saw me in a towel!!!â
a scream left her mouth as she lay down on the bed, kicking her legs in the air with face buried in his pillow.
A sound of notification shifted her attention from towel to phone.
~Papa ka para
-you looked hot in this than that white towel in which the mole on your left leg was visibleâ
*(A picture attached)
Sania looked at the text and then at the photo which he sent, The one he clicked when she was eating her food.
âIski maa ki aankhâ
She was about to call him and was about to say some colourful words but something clicked in her mind.
âmole on left legâ
hurriedly walking to the bathroom she removed her white pants and examined her left leg from top to bottom and not finding a single trace of mole on it. She was about to ask him where the mole was but received another text from him.
~papa ka para
-Couldn't find the mole?
âhow does he know I'm finding the mole, did he install a camera in the bathroom?â
Sania gasped looking in every corner of the bathroom and sighed in relief after not finding any CCTV camera.
~papa ka para
-You still don't trust your husband , darling?
I wouldn't dare to look anywhere else when your face is there to distract me.
her lips unknowingly curved upwards reading his text. but soon her smile vanished seeing the red mark on her white pants.
°°°°°°
âsunn~~â Myra tapped Avyansh's arm, holding her fist in front of his mouth like a mic, who looked confused and answered with âYes myraâ
Myra made a face, smacking his arm and again sang âsunn~~â and Avyansh again did the same thing âYes Myra sayâ
âYou are an idiot, avy babyâ she commented, Walking out of the car once it stopped in the parking lot of Bhanushali mansion.
Avyansh looked dumbfounded not knowing what he did wrong. shrugging his shoulders he parked the car and followed her.
Once they both entered the Mansion they saw the ladies of the house sitting on the couch and watching something on the television.
Suman was about to say something to Myra but zipped her lips after recalling the breakfast incident where Myra threatened her.
Soumya was waiting for Suman to start the drama so she can continue it but feeling the silence she thought to start the drama herself.
âMyra I'm very thirsty, bring a glass of water for meâ Myra scoffed while listening to Soumya. She had no problem bringing a glass of water but the tone in which Soumya ordered was not setting right with her.
âWhy? you don't have legs to walk inside the kitchen? or you don't have hands to bring it near your mouth or you don't have a mouth to drink?â Myra questioned while Sania giggled from upstairs looking at the drama downstairs.
âIs this how you talk to your sister-in-law?â Soumya asked, not liking how a newcomer is insulting her.
âohh!! Mai to bhul hi gayi thi Aapke pass to dimak hi nai hai use karne ke liyeâ
(Ohh I forgot you don't have a mind to use it)
Myra gasped dramatically as Avyansh chuckled.
âAvyansh your wife can't talk to my wife like thisâ Ninad supported his wife like a good husband.
âSee Ninad bhai you are airing on TVâ Myra pointed at the television as everyone looked ahead to find Ninad but found Kumbhakaran sleeping while the soldiers were trying to wake him up.
âYou are calling my husband Kumbhakaran?â Now it was Soumyas's turn to support her husband.
âAapka pati bhi to sirf sota aur Khata hi haiâ
(Your husband only eat and sleep like Kumbhakaran)
Myra said, making Sania burst into laughter aloud, turning everyone's attention.
Myra ran upstairs not wanting to continue the drama followed by Avyansh.
âWah meri achi kutiya, uss Lal jhandi ka muh dekhne Layak thaâ
Myra hified her, laughing along but arched her brows listening to the new name âLal jhandi?â while Sania pointed downstairs where Soumya was glaring at them.
âWell, do you have pads?â Sania asked while Myra shrugged her shoulders â Let me checkâ and walked inside her room and signalling Sania to follow her.
Throwing her purse on the bed Myra headed to the cupboard searching for sanitary pads. Avyansh who was inside the bathroom came out and was surprised to find Sania sitting on their bed.
âI don't have pads, let me ask someone to bring itâ Myra said while Sania nodded and was about to walk out of the room but Avyansh stopped her.
âI have itâ Avyansh said and ran to his study table bringing the exam pad to her.
âHere, your padâ he said smiling while Sania stood there staring at him.
âYou really are an idiot, avy baby, she needs sanitary padsâ Myra tsked, snatching the exam pad from his hand as he made an O face, running to the cupboard and fishing out a pack of sanitary pads from it.
âYou have pads in your cupboard?â The ladies asked impressed by him, who flipped his hair and passed the pad to Sania replying â did a few arrangements for my wifeâ shrugging his shoulders as Myra blushed hearing the word âwifeâ from his mouth.
âYou can continue your talk, in absence of bhai I have to look after everythingâ Saying that Avyansh left the room, carrying some necessities.
âYou can use the washroomâ Myra said, removing her heels as Sania entered the washroom doing her work.
Undressing the kurti she was about to wear the tshirt but stopped hearing a gasp from behind.
âIski maa ki aankhâ Cursing under her breath Sania ogled at the lady standing there.
âWhat happened? '' Myra asked as Sania pointed at her âyou have such a sexy body Myraâ as she blushed hearing a compliment and wore the shirt.
âshut upâ
âI'm telling the truth, your body looks so well maintained while mine looks like I'm three months pregnantâ Sania complained, patting her stomach.
âYou don't know the hours of blood, sweat and tears I spent in the gym to maintain this body,â Myra answered, standing in front of the mirror and examining her body.
âThat's why I prefer my three month pregnancy body. working out is not my cup of teaâ
âA doctor is against working out?â
âDoctor Insaan nahi hote kya?â
(Are doctors not humans?)
Sania replied with a pout as Myra giggled. but soon her laugh died down recalling something,
âCafe girlâ
and Sania also recalled something looking at the perfume on the dressing table.
âAmeer hogiâ
°°°°°°
âAre we going in a jet?â Siya asked Reyansh seeing the car was heading to the airport, He nodded and quickly stated âthe earlier we reach the earlier we can return backâ
Siya understood his point, and continued eating the vadapav which he bought for her.
âaaâ Siya put the vadapav in front of his mouth asking him to have a bite, who ate happily, keeping his focus on the road as he was driving.
She ate the vadapav and fed him in between, after finishing the food she drank the water feeling full.
Turning the car to the private area he parked it and climbed down the car, opening the door for her. Her family was in another car followed by a few cars full of bodyguards who wore civil dress instead of those black suits as they were going to the temple. Reyansh instructed them to wear casual clothes instead of their uniform which could attract the attention of people.
âठठबाà¤, हॠà¤à¤¾à¤µà¤ बापॠठà¤à¤¹à¥ à¤à¤¾?â
(Oh god, is this jet his?)
Shanta questioned looking at the private jet in awe, The guards guided their way to the jet and helped them settle on the seat.
Siya sat beside her father holding his arm as he was afraid and she could clearly see it on his face.
âRelax babaâ she whispered slowly, holding his hands who nodded while sweat dripped from his forehead. Once the flight was ready to take off a scream left his mouth chanting the lord's name âGanpati bappa moryaâ
âbabaâ she tapped his arm, as he slowly opened his eyes which were closed due to fear. she pointed at the window as he looked to the side, finding the most beautiful view.
âThis is so beautiful siyaâ he said, sounding like a five year old child.
âIf you need anything just call me.â Saying this she got up from her seat and walked to the cabinet where Reyansh was.
âThank you so much anshâ She said, sitting beside him on the seat, hugging his arms.
âhe looked so happyâ She smiled, giving a kiss on his cheeks. Reyansh turned his face pointing at his left cheeks, As Siya giggled, placing a tight peck there.
Soon they reached their destination. landing the jet safely they continued their further joinery in the car.
â The place is crowded, be more attentiveâ he strictly instructed the bodyguards when they reached the temple area.
âWe have to climb these stepsâ Shivaji said to Reyansh who looked up and found a few hundreds of steps.
âremove the footwear hereâ Shanta said pointing at the locker for footwear. Everyone removed the footwear and got barefoot.
âLet's goâ Shivaji said and Reyansh started to climb the stairs but was pulled back by Shivaji.
âYou have to carry Siya in your arms and carry the stairs. It's a ritual. Not all but a few steps would be sufficientâ he instructed Reyansh.
Reyansh looked confused listening to the weird ritual for the first time. Siya looked at his face which is confused since the moment he entered her house âIn our culture the groom has to carry the bride till the temple and have blessing of God khandoba for their bright futureâ
âBut you don't have to carry me till the temple, a few steps would be enoughâ she further added knowing no human can carry another human and climb hundreds of steps.
Reyansh nodded, turning to siya and carrying her in bridal style and started to climb the stairs.
âAnsh, that's enough you can put me downâ Siya said after they climbed the few stairs but Reyansh denied shaking his head.
âWhy?â
âThe stairs are burning and I don't want to hurt your feetâ his reply made her lips curve and let out the words unknowingly âI love youâ he mirrored her expression muttering âI love youâ back.
âAm I not heavy?â She asked, wiping the sweat from his forehead with her pallu. Reyansh shook his head immediately âYou are light as featherâ
âWhere are you learning these lines?â She asked, holding onto his neck securely.
âCome on, drop me down ansh. It will be hard for you to carry meâ She again requested him, who denied her request and walked further.
looking behind she found her family members, sitting on the edge of the steps, taking a break. a few bodyguards were there to protect them and few were near them.
âLet's take a break ansh, you will get tiredâ But Reyansh being Reyansh shook his head and continued doing his work. Everyone around looked in awe, as Siya blushed, hiding herself in his arms.
âAnsh put me down orelse I'm not talking to you for one monthâ his steps halted listening to her threat.
âYou said to behave like a human who believes in god and when I'm doing so, completing the ritual you are threatening meâ He complained with a slight pout proving that he and sunansh are brothers.
âOkay okay I'm sorry, continue your workâ Siya gave up looking at that pout and Reyansh ascended the stairs while the bodyguard behind was on the verge of fainting listening to the sweet voice of his boss.
âA few more stepsâ Siya said, seeing the crown of the temple while Reyansh was huffing, tired of climbing hundreds of steps.
âYou can put me down nowâ she said when they reached the end of the stairs. Reyansh carefully put her down and she made him sit on the chair near the stall.
âdrink this waterâ handing him the water she wiped the sweat from his forehead and face who was breathing heavily.
âAre you okay?â she looked concerned, kneeling beside him. âI'm okay siyaâ he answered, giving a smile to her.
âTake a rest, I'll need to buy a few thingsâ Saying this she walked to the nearby stall buying flowers, vermillion, turmeric in a huge amount and a coconut and a few incense sticks.
âI hope you are okay son-in-law but I must appreciate your strengthâ Shivaji complimented him while breathing heavily.
âLet's goâ Everyone walked near the temple door and one thing Reyansh noted was everything was covered in turmeric, the whole temple was covered in turmeric while some people were throwing the turmeric on the walls of the temple like playing Holi?
Entering inside the temple they took the blessing of the lord, performing the Pooja and doing the Aarti and praying to god.
After this they came out of the temple and started walking In a circular motion around the temple while throwing the turmeric on the walls.
âRepeat with me and throw this turmeric on the wallâ Siya said, passing the polythene bag filled with yellow powder to him.
âयà¥à¤³à¤à¥à¤ यà¥à¤³à¤à¥à¤ à¤à¤¯ मलà¥à¤¹à¤¾à¤°â
âयलà¤à¥à¤ यलà¤à¥à¤ à¤à¤¯ मलहारâ he repeated, throwing the yellow colour in the air while some flew on his clothes and body.
