Chapter 8
"I never stopped loving you, siya" he said all the things which he kept inside for all these years.
Not feeling any movement he looked down, finding her passed out in his arms. He chuckled looking at her, how her fist was still clutching his shirt.
He picked her up in a bridal style and walked inside the mansion earning gasps from the workers.
He slowly placed her on the bed, unclutching her fingers from his shirt and pecking her forehead. He kept his lips for a few seconds on her forehead and backed away.
He wanted to clear all the things between them but before he could ask further she passed out.
Frustrated, he moves to his favourite place where he can calm himself down, where he can relax.
Water with night breeze along with his favourite drink and cigarette.
He reaches the swimming pool in the garden and drowns himself inside the pool fully till his lungs are begging for air.
Gasping, he comes on the surface of water, intaking oxygen. Once he feels his breathing normal he again dips himself inside the pool blocking his air passage and repeating it until he is satisfied.
Pushing his wet hairs back he comes out of the pool, sitting on the bench with his drenched clothes. Taking out the cigarette from the small drawer kept beside the table he lights it up, bringing it near his lips.
Inhaling the toxic smoke he closes his eyes feeling the drug. He puffs his cigarette leaning back on the bench.
"Why is Reyansh bhai swimming with clothes on? He smokes? He drinks?" Myra gasps watching reyansh from her bedroom window.
"He does that whenever he is troubled. It helps in calming his mind for a brief period of time" avyansh replies gazing at his brother with moist eyes.
"Avyansh can I ask you something? '' Myra asked, making avyansh hum at her as he knows she never calls him by his name until it's something serious.
"Can you tell me the past about Bhai and bhabhi" she asked with hesitation this time.
"It's better if you don't interfere in our family matters" his reply didn't shock her as she knew he still didn't accept her as his wife but somewhere it hurt her.
"I'm your wife Avy baby" she says with a pout masking her sadness. Avyansh dashed out of the room without replying to her.
"Bhai" Avyansh whispers, sitting beside Reyansh on the bench. Reyansh continues to smoke, closing his eyes.
There was complete silence between the brothers. A comfortable silence.
"Why are you here?" Reyansh asked, finding him here instead of spending his time with his newly wedded wife.
"Why can't you stop smoking bhai. It's not good for your health" Avyansh ignores his question, throwing the half cigarette on the grass and crushing it.
Reyansh takes a deep breath again, closing his eyes, leaning on the bench.
"Aadat" his reply made avyansh scoff.
"Aadat sudharo bhai, aab aap akele nahi ho. You have your Siya beside you" Avyansh pulled the strings which will surely affect Reyansh.
And it did.
Reyansh quickly opened his eyes looking at Avyansh. His grey eyes which always held nothing but emptiness are now glistened with tears. Avyansh pulls his brother in a hug providing the emotional support he needed at the moment.
"I'm tired, Avyansh. I'm tired of everything. I can't do this anymore. I can't....."
"Hume Maa ke pass jana Hai, hum aur nahi jeena chahte. Hum thak chuke hai in sab se. Ghutan si mehsus hoti hai Hume yahan, pehle Maa ke pallu me chupte the ab hamare paas koi nahi hai Avyansh. Hum akele hai, bilkul akele"
"Kya hum itne Bure hai Jo Har koi Hume chod kar chala jata hai?" Reyansh asks, breaking into quiet sobs.
"Aap Akele nahi hai bhai. Hum Aapke sath hai, wo chota Bandar Aapke sath hai aur Maa Aapke sath hai" Avyansh pats his shoulders.
Avyansh never saw his brother cry in front of him, never saw him so vulnerable. Reyansh was never the one who shared his pain with others, he always liked to keep his pain and problems limited to himself.
And seeing him break out like this is definitely hurting Avyansh.
Breaking the hug Reyansh looks at the other avoiding avyansh. Why did he get so overwhelmed today?
"Bha-"
"I want to be alone Avyansh" Reyansh says and walks away.
"Ahh" Avyansh punched the tree with all his might taking out his frustration on the non living- living thing.
He moves towards the garage feeling too much anger build up inside, seeing his bhai so vulnerable.
Taking the key to his favourite bike he noticed that his brother's car was missing.
One thing the duo liked to do when they are frustrated is go on long drives and long rides.
Picking up the helmet he starts his bike wearing the gloves.
Myra looked out of the window hearing the sound of a car followed by a bike after a few minutes.
'Please take care of them god'
She prayed for their safety. She has known the Bhanushali family since childhood. Growing up she always fantasised about Avyansh being her husband.
Reyansh was like a brother figure in her life and sunansh was like a best friend to her.
She knew there was some past of Reyansh and Siya as she heard the name 'Siya bhabhi' from avyansh's mouth a few times but it's still unclear for her.
Keeping everything aside she opens her laptop working on some files waiting for Avyansh.
She wanted to call him but knowing him very well she knew he would never pick her call.
With each passing seconds her heart became more anxious.
She breathed in relief when Reyansh's car and Avyansh's bike entered inside the mansion.
"Avyansh" she runs towards him, taking him in her embrace when he reaches the room.
"I was hell worried about you" she says, snuggling more into his chest.
He didn't push her like always but what surprised her was the warm drops of water falling on her face. She jerked her eyes upwards, finding him crying.
"Avyansh" she gasps, holding his cheeks.
"Why are you crying baby?" she whispers, wiping his tears with her thumb.
"It's all my fault Myra. It's all my fault" he chants continually falling on his knees.
She kneels down, taking him in a bone crushing hug. She was scared, her heart beating too loudly as if it would come out of the rib cage any second.
She never saw him crying, and when he is crying infront of her. She wanted to kill the person with her own hands who made her avyansh cry.
"Calm down baby" she caresses his soft locks patting his shoulders.
"I'm the cause of his pain Myra. It's all my fault" he cries, pulling her closer.
"Shh it's okay Avyansh. It's not your fault, it's not your fault" she whispered the same words until she made sure he was calming down.
Once his cries faded away she sat on the ground taking the support of the bed and placed his head on her lap.
"Sleep Avyansh. I'm here with you" she smiles pecking his forehead.
He curled up in a ball, locking her fingers with his securely as if she would disappears if he didn't hold onto her
A sad chapter because my mood was not good. I'm a type of writer who writes the chapter according to her mood.
Anyways, the target was not completed but I wrote this chapter so thought to post it.
I started the book about the past of Siya and reyansh. Do check it out.
"HIS GREY EYES"
