BWOOOOOM
A massive horn can be heard coming from the massive steel monster signaling its arrival
âSo thatâs our fire supportâ Rose exclaimed, awing at the massive ship âThose guns definitely pack a punchâ
âWell, they shouldâ Paul affirms âIt was built for war, now it is being uses to pay back itâs sinâ
âItâs sin?â Furi ask
âBefore the scourge, this ship belongs to Newtona Kingdom, it was used in the genocide of the native Beastkins in their expansionâ Paul explains, his face tenses.
âNow itâs being use as a support ship?â
âAny firepower is good, right?â Mark chimed in, trying to lighten the mood.
Furi stared at the ship, its cannons glisten in the light, the runes on the barrel glows. Smoking fumes from pipes, many thoughts run through.
Do these metal things have sins? Can they even comprehend what was happening? Do they have feelings?
Are they part of mankind?
This question wandered in Furiâs head, but a question lights up
âDoes metal understand evil? Does the oneâs controlling them have sins? â
The group is silent, they all know what the answer will be. But no one dared to answer the truth that metal does not know what it was doing, but the hands controlling it was man.
They were all just words on paper, numbers on a counter. Pawn of something greater, what if they died? Their name is cross off, the number falls. No feelings, just a sign and new orders, new names, new numbers. Their past lost in corpse.
Paul clenched his fist, Rose awes dissipate.
âOk, ok letâs not talk about that right nowâ Mark attempts to lighten up again âToday weâll live, it wonât be today, I promiseâ
âYeâ¦Yeahhhhhâ Rose said sarcasticly
Sometime later
âAhemâ¦Ahemâ Zinoviaâs voice is heard throughout the area âAll units that has been called for duty, rally at the pierâ
Soldiers start to arrive, arranging into lines, they form disciplined, but their faces are grim.
âDefense Squadron 4-13 will board Task Force Trasport 1, headed by Captain Lucas, Along with Rose Vandalia, and Miss Furi of the Recon Squadronâ
âLooks like weâre going together againâ Rose said, smiling at Furi
âDefense battalion 14-24 will board Task Force Transport 2, headed by Captain Yama, Captain Mark Doberman and Paul Nakarel will also be joining you.â

The atmosphere is tense; they all know that death is just a few hours away. The tunnel is dark. However, for some there is light at the end of the tunnel
âLastly, Defense battalion 25 will board the NRS Dunkirk, your duty is to guard the ship. It is vital for our relationship with Aquaria that this ship does not sinkâ
Signs can be heard, some knowing that they wonât be in the jaws of death. At least not today.
âI hope that you all will do your jobs, if you need motivationâ Zinovia pauses and thinks for a moment âJust think of your family or something, anyway all aboard!â
âLooks like will be splitting up for this oneâ Mark said,
âGuess weâll see four on the other sideâ
Furi watches as Mark and Paul walks to their boarding zone, waving goodbye.
âLetâs go boardâ Rose said pulling Furiâs arm
âSureâ Furi walks following Rose
They walk up the metal ramps, to see a transport boat. Made from wood and iron. With a single cannon with runes inscribed. Compared to the colossal Dunkirk this was but a pebble in a boulder
A few others can be seen boarding, their faces gloomy. The sky is dark, the clouds are gray and still, yet the sun is shining.
Rose turns around to look at the sea in front of her, the water is blue to her, but she knows for the rest the water is but a void, the depths waiting for their bodies
Furi looks to the horizon, the sun is illuminating the air, the clouds are white. She looks back at the soldiers.
Even the sunâs light didnât reach them.
âI just hope, I can see my mom againâ One of the soldiers uttered, clenching his sword and gritting his teeth
âAre my kids going to be safe? What about my wife?â Another one said quietly, his voice shaken, holding his amulet
Another can be seen, quietly praying, no matter the religions, real or fake. His tears are real
One soldier sat down leaning on the shipâs walls, her hand covered her face, trying to hide. No weakness in battle. But it was clearer than day, tears streamed down her face. As she sat there. Sobbing
âTry not to listen too muchâ Rose said, patting Furiâs shoulder âAfter all our survival depends on our performanceâ
The shadow of the NRS Dunkirk loomed over, the darkness intensifying the gloomiest
âAll ships, ready?â A voice came from the cabin of the ship.
âYes!â Another voice is heard responding.
âSail!â
The ships began to move, the ocean stretching endlessly ahead. For many the clock had begun.
âWhat are we going to eat when we come backâ Furi asked
âHeh, trying to lighten up the mood?â Rose replied, âLetâs go to the tavern again, big battles require a feast.â
âLetâs ask Mark for itâ Furi response, her face lit up by a little bit
Both girls look at each other, with determined looks. At least they have something to look forward to.
Bzzzzâ¦.
âShit! Weâve been found outâ A voice shouts from inside the boatâs cabin
Heads turn to face the source of the sounds, their pupils widen, their hands tremble and shake.
The Scourges, they were flying, their numbers, too much for any soldier to count. They have set their sights. Pointy tails and a body clad in a hard shell. They were like dark clouds blocking the sun. Magic circles flared like the night star, except these stars promise death.
âSpellships! Andâ¦So many of themâ The voice trembles in awe of numbers and in fear of death.
âTo battle station!!â The voice rang out âKill every last one of those fuckers!â
Magic circles flair at the ends of the cannons, runes inscribed glow.
Fireballs were shot from the scourges. A wall of flames, a hail of scorch, A rain of death
Boooom Boooom BOOOM
the smoke clears. People huddling in fear, looking up, the shipâs mana shield is holding out. A sign of relief can be heard
Furi ducking behind the bow. Look up to see blue hexagons formed where the fireball landed.
POW!
The shipsâ guns fired with a resounding boom. Orbs of magic fly high to approach the flying Spellships.
Suddenly the orbs explode, launching many smaller orbs like flak.
Bang Bang Bang
Many spellships was cut down, but visually. Itâs like none. The dark cloud still looms overhead.
Fwooosh! Bang! POW!
Both side exchange fire. Both are relentless, seeking the other sideâs demise. Mankind has shields but Scourges has numbers.
Crack!
The sound was heard throughout the ship. They look up to see the mana shield has cracked. The barriers are being breached.
