Sara looked out the window, staring at the busy street in front of her. She watched as mother's dragged their children along. She watched as fathers happily swung their children around.
Would her child ever get that experience?
"Sara Baji," a meek voice called out behind her. She turned to see Mina, Ghazala's daughter in law. "Khana lay ley."
(Get some food)
Sara gave her a smile and nodded at her, following behind her.
After she had told Ghazala she didn't want to stay at the Haveli any longer, Ghazala had sent her to her sons house which was not too far away. Salim and Mina lived in one of the busy streets of the city. They had a 3 year old and a 1 year old.
Sara had been so thankful that they were done with her living here for the past 4 days. Salim and Mina were so respectful and kind towards her.
She went down the borrow staircase before walking into their small dining room. She sat on the 6 people dining table, looking at the food infront of her. Salim and Mina has tried to engage her in any conversation possible, which she was thankful for.
At the Haveli however, the situation was quite different. Arsalan had been trying to find out where his wife had gone but had no hope.
His mother even questions him everyday, asking him where Sara was. She had acted like more of a child to his mother than he had himself and felt ashamed.
Bi Jaan too missed Sara. She had known where she was but didn't dare to utter a word.
Arsalan felt as if he was about to go crazy. He wanted to scream out of frustration, and he did, at Ayesha.
"Hmm. Ab tou wo chali gahi hai," Ayesha whispered lowly on the phone. "All the property will be on my name." All Arsalan could see was red.
(Now she's gone anyways)
"Shukar hai mujhe kuch karna nahi para sawai Arsalan ko meray paas lanay ki kushash." She once again said. She was silent again before she spoke up once again, answering the persons question.
(Thankfully I didn't have to do something myself except trying to get closer to Arsalan)
"Yah, I also payed those two ladies to say all that stuff to her the day at the mall. My plan was successful. After that day she barely even uttered a word to him. Heck, she barely looked at her." Ayesha said, before setting her phone down and putting the speaker on, oblivious to her husband standing near the entrance of the door.
"And what would of happened if she could've had a miscarriage with this plan of yours?" An unfamiliar feminine voice rang out form the phone.
"Acha hota. It would've been an even better reason for Arsalan to leave her if that stupid child of hers died." Ayesha spat.
(That would've been good)
"Ayesha!" His loud voice roared in disbelief. Ayesha jumped 5 feet in the air before looking at her fuming husband. "A-a-arsalan." She whimpered.
"Yeh tum kiya kahri ho?!" He shouted, enraged.
(What are you saying)
"K-kuch nahi," she whispered pathetically.
(N-nothing)
His glare made a shiver run down her spine, fear evident in her eyes. "Was what I heard true?" He asked in a low, scary voice.
All of sudden Ayesha snapped, "Haan, whatever you heard was true." She screamed. "How could I tolerate sharing my husband with someone else?"
(Yes)
"Yeh ya iski daulat?" A voice rang out behind the fighting couple. Arsalan turned around to face his mother.
(Him or his money?)
"Mama," Arsalan walked towards her.
"Tum hay isse pyaar tha ya iske passo say?"
(Did you love him or his money)
"Of course Arsalan say," Ayesha replied.
"Tum ek baho ke zimadari ka bhi kuch pata hai ya nahi?" Farida asked.
(You never even completed any responsibilities of a daughter in law)
"Jasay apnay upnay farz nibahay." Ayesha scoffed, taunting her mother in law.
(Like you have)
"Ayesha, kabar dar tumnay asay meri ma say bath ki."
(Ayesha, don't you dare talk to my mother like that)
"Oh please. You never gave her any importance." Ayesha taunted. Arsalan looked down in shame. She was right.
"Yaha par iske baat nahi hore, tumhari horahi hai." Ayesha didn't reply ran into the attached bathroom and locked the door.
(We are talking about you, not him)
Just as Arsalan was about to ask her to come out, his mother grabbed his hand and shook her head at him, telling him to leave her alone.
"Jao, aur Sara ko wapas ley kay ao." She said to him.
(Go and bring back Sara)
"Lekin muhje nahi pata woh kaha par hai." he said.
(But I don't even know where she is)
"Muhje to pata hai."
(But I do)
Sara walked around the room anxiously. She her heart felt heavy and it was as if something bad was about to happen. She had just finished praying and asked her Rab to guide her and make everything easy for her.
"Sara," she heard behind her. She froze up before letting out a sigh.
"Aap yaha par kuo aaye hai?" She questioned her husband.
(What are you doing here)
"Tum he lanay kay liye."
(I'm here to take you back)
"Mujhe nahi jana apkay sath."
(I don't want to go anywhere with you)
"Sara, come on," he said, frustration clear in his voice. "Please." He pleaded his tone softer now.
Sara felt his hands on her shoulder as he turned her around to face him. Her looked terrible. His hair was a mess and he had dark circles under his eyes. His eyes held several different emotions.
"I was never planning on leaving you after you gave birth." He said to her. Sara's eyes snapped up to his in shock. How did he know?
"Ghazala bi told me." He answered her unasked question.
"Phir bi, mai nahi jana chahti waha par."
(Still, I don't want to go)
"Woh jobi us din mall par howa, woh sab Ayesha nay karwaya tha." He revealed. However Sara remained emotionless. "Mujhe uski harkato ka pata chalgaya hai."
(Whatever happened that day at the mall, it was all Ayeshas doing. I know of all her deeds now)
"Tuo is liye aap yaha par ayhai." She said, tears gathering in her eyes. "Agar apko na pata chalta, tuo aap yaha atay? Admit it Arsalan, I'm just your backup, nothing else."
(So that's the reason you came here? If you hadn't found out about her deeds, would you have came?)
"Nahi Sara asa kuch nahi hai. Mai atha agar Muhje pata hota kay Tum kaho hoti." He said, desperation evident in his voice. "Aur tum mera backup nahi ho. Tum Meray bachay ki maa ho. Meri biwi ho tum."
(Sara, it's nothing like that. I would've came, even if I had not known of Ayeshas deeds. And your not my backup. You the mother of my child, my wife)
"Dosri biwi." She spat and moved away from him. "Dehko Arsalan, mai apkay aur Ayesha kay beech may aayi thi. Mai apki zindagi may Nikal jagi hoon. Aur rahi baat bachay ki, tou aap uso mil saktay hai, jab Bi aap chahay." She said and Arsalan looked at her in anger.
(Second wife. Look Arsalan, I was the one that came in between you and Ayesha. Ill get out of your life. And you can always visit your child, whenever you want)
"Tum asa kuo kar rahi ho?"
(Why are you doing this)
"Kuo kay mai apkay dil may nahi hoon! Ayesha hai!"
(Because I have no place in your heart. Ayesha does)
"Tum bhi ho." He muttered quietly but Sara heard him.
(You too)
"Kya?"
(What)
"Maine ka tum bhi ho. I tried to ignore the feelings. I felt guilty. Guilty that I married someone else and started developing feelings for her. So than I thought ignoring you would help, but that just made it worse. I know I made a lot of mistakes, but please Sara, please don't do this. Meray sath ghar chalo." He said.
(I said you too. Come him with me)
Sara looked at his pleading eyes. The tears in his eyes that were about to spill. She let out a deep breath for uttering her decision.
