Chapter 17:

To The Moon and BackWords: 6647

I'm literally obsessed with this song.

Today, Hana was coming home. The doctors had taken a few tests on her to make sure she was okay before releasing her. She had became really cranky in the hospital environment and made a big fuss when the doctors were taking tests on her.

Ameera tried to calm her down, but it didn't work. She kept on crying until Hashir held her. She quieted down and it was a sight to see.

A big muscular man holding a tiny little girl.

They had finally reached reached home. Ameera took out Hana from her car seat and headed towards the door. Hashir took Hana's car seat and her baby bag.

"SURPRISE!" Was what Ameera heard as soon as she opened the door. She saw all her relatives with party hats on and let out a laugh.

"What is all this?" She questioned.

"A welcome back party for Hana," Zainab said, walking towards Ameera and took Hana. Ameera looked at the decorations and it said 'welcome back home!'

One by one, she greeted everyone. Hana was having the time of her life with Zainab and the little kids. She was happy to see her having fun. They even had a cake that they made Hana cut, with help from Ameera of course.

It was now night and everyone had left. It felt good to gather with everyone and talk after the stressful days in the hospital.

Ameera was changing while Hashir was on their bed with Hana. She was slapping his face and laughing. She was now able to sit up with the assistance of either Ameera or Hashir.

Hana let out a few gurgles and coo's. Ameera laughed at the sight when she walked out.

"I think she likes me more," Hashir boasted as Ameera rounded around the bed.

"Oh, really?" Ameera questioned as Hashir nodded with pride. "Let's see if that true. Hana, baby, idr ao," Ameera cooed and Hana made little grabby hands at her.

(Come here)

"Ha, so much for her liking you more," Ameera taunted.

"Hana, you betrayed me," Hashir exclaimed where as Hana just clapped her hands in excitement. The couple both laughed at her excitement. It really had warmed Ameera's heart after seeing how comfortable Hashir was with Hana. A shriek broke her out of her thoughts.

She looked at Hashir that had a horrified look on his face with a white substance all over his shirt.

Vomit.

Ameera couldn't help but burst out into giggles along with Hana.

"I told you to handle her gently since she just drank milk," Ameera said to Hashir. "Did you not make her burp?"

"No," he quietly mumbled.

Ameera shook her head in amusement before telling him to change his shirt. Hashir sent a glare to Hana who in return just gave him a toothless smile.

"Ao, let's get you tucked in," Ameera said to Hana and took her to her room while kissing her chubby cheeks.

(Come)

A week had passed and life was better then ever for Ameera. Hana had kept her busy in the day and they would have some quality family time when Hashir would return home from work.

Hashir was currently at work and Ameera decided to visit him and give him lunch. She made his favorite Kababs along with pulao.

Hana was spending the day with Zainab and Amir. They had came and collected her early in the morning to spend time with her.

After packing lunch for both her and Hashir, she got her car and drove towards Hashirs office. They used to always have lunch together before when both of them were working. But all changed after the miscarriage.

After 15 minutes, she had reached. She walked inside and everyone gave her a smile. She gave one back and headed towards the private elevator available for use to only some.

She decided not to knock and walked right in, her smile dropping instantly.

There stood Hashir with Rachel not even two feet away from him. Still, she cleared her throat and greeted them both while setting their lunch on his table.

"Why are you here?" Ameera was taken back by Hashirs question, but quickly masked her face with a smile and answered.

"I made pulao and kababs so I thought we could have lunch together," she stated.

Hashirs face was emotionless the whole time and his eyes hard.

"Well you can leave," he said.

Ameera looked at her husband in shock. What?

"What do you mean I can leave?" She questioned.

"Do you not understand English now?" This time Rachel answered, "He said leave," a smirk was present on her face. Ameera looked at Hashir with a shocked face but his eyes were down the whole time.

"Hashir, you were perfectly fine yesterday, what happened now?" Ameera felt like bursting into tears. They were perfectly fine and happy yesterday.

"God Ameera, how dense are you?! I want you to leave. Can't you understand that? I have a lot of work to do and don't want anyone to disturb me,"

"Oh but Rachel can stay?" She questioned in bewilderment.

"Aneera, honey, truth is your husband prefers me over you. Now along you go," Rachel said, the smirk on her face widening.

Ameera looked at her husband with wide eyes, not understanding what was happening. Before she could say anything, police burst inside the office. Ameera looked at the officers in question as they walked towards Rachel and cuffed her.

"Hashir, what's happening?!" Rachel shrieked. "Hey! Where are you taking me? Hashir, help!"

Ameera stood there her eyes wide, not understanding what was happening.

"So let me get this straight," Ameera started. "Rachel tried to poison Hana and you tried to confront her by telling her you love and asking her to tell the truth?" Ameera asked and Hashir nodded his head. After the officers took away Rachel, Ameera had demanded answers from Hashir.

"She also admitted that she was the one that pushed me down the stairs which led to my miscarriage?" Hashir nodded again and looked down in shame for not believing his wife.

"Did-did you mean what you said earlier?" She softly whispered.

"God, no, obviously not. I had no idea you were coming and I had to convince her until the police came," he said, holding her face in his hands.

Ameera slowly nodded. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"Because I knew you would've gone and attacked which wouldn't have helped us in our situation," Hashir said and Ameera once again nodded.

"Come on, let's eat the pulao and kababs you bought for me," he excitedly exclaimed.

Ameera smiled at his childish behavior and walked towards him.
