Chapter 46: 41- Bringing back a soul

SPY ✔︎ DEREK HALEWords: 10151

ISSAC HAD RAN OFF AROUND THE WOODS TO STICK IN TWO ULTRASONIC EMITTERS TO CATCH BOYD AND CORA AS A SIGN OF LIGHT.

Hazel ran as fast as she could and pressed one under the ground and ran a few meters after as she pressed one down again.

Hazel's senses hit as she felt like being watched and quickly stood up, looking around. When she passed a few trees, she thought she saw a shadow when she looked back to that direction but it was gone.

Hazel started to feel uncomfortable and decided to take a run as a sign. She went the other direction so she could be more in safety than to be near anyone.

Just when she looked behind her she checked to se anyone in safety and looked back forward just see Derek being finished with his last Ultrasonic Emitters.

Just when Hazel wanted to speak another voice broke it. "And the haunted becomes the hunter. You really think a few high-tech dog whistles are gonna help?" Peter walked closer.

"I can't see you offering a hand." Derek said, standing up and facing his uncle.

"Personally, I'm trying to cut down on Futile endeavors." Peter said.

"Cora's alive." Derek said.

"I heard. Let's throw the reunion party when she's not an unstoppable killing machine." Peter said.

"I can stop her." Derek added.

"Sure you can." Peter quietly said. "By killing her. Which happens to be the point of this little exercise. Deucation wants you to kill them. He wants you to get rid of his baggage, making it easier for you to join his pack. The fact that it was supposed to happen in the vault, and not up here, out in the open, doesn't change his plan." He whispered the last word. "It just means that Boyd and Cora are gonna kill a few innocent people first."

"And I should just let them?" Sarcastically Derek said, thinking he would let it all slide. "I should be okay with innocent people dying?"

"Unless your okay killing your own." Peter simply said.

"I can catch them."

"Oh, come on. How much damage can they do? So they off a few homeless people? A drunk stumbling out of a bar too late. Let Scott deal with it. Let him be the hero of his morally black and white world. The real survivors, you and I, we live in shades of gray. Then again, even if you did kill them, you're still an Alpha." Derek went quiet, looking like he was at loss of words and deciding. Peter bend down and pressed on the Emitter and stood up. "You can always make more Werewolves."

Hazel that watched not too far away seemed to feel like she was out of her mind and at a lot loss of words.

Now the only question was, was Derek going to let that happen? Will Derek just leave Scott to it now? Because if so...

Then it was done between them.

After arriving back home, Hazel was the only one to happen at home. Melissa working and Scott still out there.

Hazel was tired and tried her best to forget what Peter had told Derek.

Just as she walked up the stairs a shadow and a echoed hiss made her stop in her tracks as she slowly turned around to see no one there.

She sighed but still wasn't giving in since she knew exactly that she heard a noise a couple seconds ago.

Hazel shook her head and turned around until she was met with a young man standing in front of her over the stairs, an evil smirk placed on his lips as Hazel jumped back.

What in the world was going? Who was this boy now all of a sudden? Was there any more of those Alpha packs or mates out there?

The young man tilted his head as the grin was never out of sight as he checked her out from up and down.

Hazel's face to describe was shock and fear when she stared at the mysterious guy that was in her house in front of her unexpectedly.

He ran his tongue to the side of his teeth, when Hazel noticed his fangs as he sagely nodded. "You must be Hazel."

His accent was a beautiful British she never heard. The brunette didn't know whether to run off or just stand still. She was too scared to even make choices.

"Hazel, get over here." David's voice made her calm down as she slowly stepped back down. Once she touched the ground she turned her head to see David staring harshly at the guy that was standing there completely unbothered. When David bought his attention back to Hazel his face was a bit softer. "You okay? Did he do anything?"

Hazel shook her head quickly as she looked over to the guy that wasn't eyeing Hazel anymore but had his eyes on David now.

David seemed to growl at him which Hazel never heard. "What the hell are you doing here?"

The guy scoffed from his chest as he kept grinning at David, standing his place, his hand placed on the other, by the front. "No brother hug?"

Hazel thought she didn't hear right. She had marked that David had told her about his brother but arriving so soon? Then he must've been alive since a few days more.

"Not anymore."

"That's too bad, isn't it?" The guy said while smiling like a psycho, tilting his head. "I guess I will have to copy that since we're not brothers like we were three hundred years ago."

That's when Hazel felt like her eyes were popping out of sight after she heard that. The guy seemed to noticed that and nodded.

"Seems like my brother hasn't told you about us." When he blinked his eyes to shift them already on David, his face was calm but on the inside you could see he was harsh. "Did he?"

Hazel swallowed as she couldn't keep her eyes off from the guy. David seemed to have it difficult as he looked down and closed his eyes.

When Hazel decided to take her eyes off him, she looked over to look at David. David seemed to try to think through something or just completely having enough from him already.

The guy tilted his head back up as he stared intently with the grin still playing on his lips. "Shall we talk now, should we?"

Hazel sat at the couch, David sitting by the chair and his brother standing in front of them. He had gotten himself a glass of whiskey that her dad had bought when he visited a long time ago.

It was silent for a moment when all they did was sit and stand there. One was lost in his thoughts, the other was loving the moment and the other one was too scared to even think or move.

Hazel had so many words and so many questions all at once. What the hell was happening?

"You know..." The guy was done with his glass as he turned to the two with a smirk. "it's funny how I awake from the dead and already meet the beautiful partner of my brother... I've been having a lot in mind ever since that. Even though I already watched you in the woods." Hazel's eyes widened again. He was the one watching her? Her heart started beating faster once he started walking closer while David kept his eyes on them. "I forgot to tell you..." He grabbed Hazel's hand and looked up to her. "the name is Eren." He kissed it.

—Eren— gently let go of her hand and stood straighter. "Your name is correctly what I'm thinking if, right?" He drifted his eyes over David by mentioning her name earlier as he brought them back to her.

Hazel swallowed as she nodded.

That made Eren raise his brows in amusement. "Hazel, is it?" He decided to walk back to his spot and turned back around. "Before we get into the important topic, long story short. Me and my siblings were born in the seventeenth century. Hope it's not bad to tell you that we got another sibling. Our parents were killed and ever since, me and my older brother went haunting human, animals and doing our own thing until a pack of Werewolves found us. They say Werewolves and Vampires don't have a lot in common but that's what the internet and movie says. I mean they took care of us until me and David separated to different cities as we grew up. And how I died was planned by a psycho vampire that wanted me dead. His wish came in command but here I am now while he's underground. David? You told her about yourself anyway, I know that."

David seemed to have enough and wanted to walk out somewhere but Eren wasn't done.

"And now? It's a lot more different than I thought. Because my brother, is a haunted Ghost and I am alive... isn't that funny?" David's face fell at that but Eren added. "But... I can bring you back alive. I bought a witch with me. Someone that we're not gonna need anyway. Guess what? I only bought her for you brother." Eren grinned as he called out for the girl. Hazel knitted her brows and looked to see a woman walking in and looked at Eren that pointed to David. "He is my favor right there."

The woman who was a witch stepped a bit closer and motioned David to stand up as she pulled out candles and placed them in a circle around her and David. She lightened them all as she stood and held out her hands to begin.

She closed her eyes as she began speaking in a weird language when Hazel looked over at Eren that was smirking at her before looking back to the two.

The lights were starting to flicker along with the candles that were moving around when it started wind around. Hazel thought it was a bad idea to do it until the woman started speaking her spell louder and louder.

Hazel's hair started swaying around as she wrapped her arms around herself. It was getting a lot worse than she thought.

She looked up to the lights flickering around her and to the others that stood there. Hazel never imagined it that way or never knew that David could still be alone.

The women was done with her spell but the wind seemed to still move until it stopped like an explosion.

Hazel slowly looked up to see the women's nose bleeding as she wiped it away with no problem and turned to Eren that bowed to her shortly in a way of saying thank you.

The woman walked off, disappearing wherever she wanted to. Hazel remembered David as she stood up and stared at him, waiting for a moment to expect anything.

David that still stood in his legs, picked up his head slowly as he looked over to Hazel. His look said everything. "It worked."
