Chapter 13

Once we were finished Kade put me down.  We were both breathless, our clothes were wrinkled and my make-up was ruined but I didn't care.

"Kade?" He fixed his pants and looked up at me.

"Yeah, babe?"

"Did you really mean what you said?"  I couldn't bring myself to use the actual words in case he was just caught up in the moment.

He reached out grabbing my waist and pulled me back to him.  "Yes, I meant it baby I love you, Addison."  He smiled as he looked into my eyes.  I felt my eyes brim with tears and I realized that I loved him too.  As much as I had tried to overthink everything none of it really mattered because I was head over heels in love with Kade Jacobs.

"I love you too Kade," I said slowly.  He leaned down pressing his lips to mine tenderly as he ran his hands up and down my back.

He moaned into my mouth and then pulled away.  "As much as I'd like to take you again babe.  We really should get going.  But I promise the minute this damn dinner is over your going to be moaning my name."  He smacked my ass and I jumped.

"Kade!" I smacked him playfully.

"You know you like it, babe."  He grinned picking up his jacket and putting it on.

I walked over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck.  I leaned in to whisper in his ear.  "I bet there are a lot of things I could do to you that you'd like Mr. Jacobs,"  I spoke quietly running my fingers thru the back of his hair as I spoke.  I felt his bulge press into me and I knew my words had affected him.  He cleared his throat.

"Addison unless you'd like to stay in your bed for the rest of the night I suggest you stop that."  He grinned down at me.

"I'd actually like that very much Mr. Jacobs." I teased as I kissed his neck.

"Damnit Addi." He growled as he squeezed my ass lifting me back up.  I wrapped my legs around him laughing.

"I was only teasing baby I'm sorry.  Now put me down and let's go."  I giggled at him as he continued to hold me up by my ass.

"I don't think so, Ms. Hayes.  This won't take long."  He smirked as he laid me back on the couch and had his way with me.

When we finally arrived at the estate we were an hour late.  "Kade we need an excuse for being late," I told him as he escorted me up the steps of the house.

"How about my girlfriend couldn't keep her hands to herself?"  He grinned at me.

"Kade! Seriously!" I giggled at him.

"Don't worry babe just follow my lead." He winked at me as we entered the house.

I did these things for work all the time but being on the other side of it and knowing Kade interned to tell everyone here about us tonight made me nervous.  Everyone was still standing around having cocktails.  Thank goodness they hadn't sat down to dinner yet.  Emma saw us and quickly walked toward us.

"Where the hell have you two been?" She whispers yelled at us.  Kade smiled at his little sister.

"We got a little caught up in the moment sorry Em." He shrugged and Emma glared at him.

"You mean you were too busy fucking to show up on time?! Damnit, Kade!  We have been waiting for you!" She looked like she wanted to hit him.

"It's called making love sis.  You can't fault me for wanting to make love to my beautiful girlfriend whom I'm in love with."  He smiled at me and my face burned red.

"Wait what? Did you say, love?" She looked at us both and I nodded.  Her face lit up and she grinned.

"Well, I guess I can forgive you.  Congratulations! I'm so happy for you both.  You did good, big brother." She kissed her brother's cheek and winked at me.

"Thanks, Em.  I'm the luckiest man in the world." He kissed my forehead placing his arm around my waist, holding me to him.  My heart soared and I'm sure I had a goofy grin on my face.

"I'm going to find Nora and tell her we are ready for dinner now."  She smiled at us and walked away. Kade led me around the room introducing me to aunts, uncles, cousins, and a few family friends. Each time he called me his girlfriend I couldn't help the grin on my face. Everyone smiled politely at me as Kade introduced me. Some even seemed a little shocked when he said the word girlfriend. Kade held my hand and lead me to the dining room when dinner was announced. Nora was doing a great job running the evening. She winked at me as we all sat down for dinner. The tables looked great with pale pink table clothes, pink and white roses were arranged as centerpieces with ivory candles flickering in the dim lighting. The wedding party had rehearsed the processional that would take place tomorrow. Everyone seems to be enjoying dinner chatting among themselves as they ate. The only thing left to do was give the toast toward the end of dinner. Kade smiled at me after he finished eating.

"You really look, gorgeous babe. I have the best-looking date here. It's a shame you won't get to sit with me tomorrow."

"Aww after they cut the cake at the reception I'll have time for you, I promise."

"I could always hire you some more help so you can spend the night with me instead of working." He winked at me.

I laughed. "You'll do no such thing I want everything to be perfect for Emma."

"I'm sure it will be great babe your amazing at everything you do." He smiled taking my hand and holding it in his lap.

I blushed smiling up at him when someone cleared their throat. We turned to see Mr. Jacobs standing there.

"Hey, dad. Ready for your speech?" Kade asks his father. Tyler Jacobs simply shook his head.

"This isn't something any dad is ready for. I don't want to give my little girl away. But it's not up to me. She's made up her mind and so I don't have much choice do I?" He huffed and Kade laughed.

"She is happy, dad and Ryan is a good guy."

"I suppose he is but that doesn't mean I wouldn't be watching him." He nodded at me. "Good to see you again Addison. I thought you'd be working this event." He eyed me.

"Kade wanted me with him tonight but I'll be in charge tomorrow sir." I smiled at him.

"Good. I'm sure you'll make Emma's dream wedding come true. After all, I paid you enough." He smiled and I laughed.

"Yes sir." I nodded and Kade rolled his eyes.

"Could you relax and enjoy this dad? It's not every day your daughter gets married." Kade gave his dad a pointed look.

"Let's hope it's not son, unlike some people who just run off and get married on a whim." He huffed and walked away.

Kade let go of my hand and clenched his fist. "Kade don't let him get to you." I took his hand back and kissed it.

"He knows how to press my buttons. He knows how much she hurt me and he throws it in my face every chance he gets." He growled.

"I'm sorry he does that to you." I ran my hand across his back trying to calm him down. He turned to me and smiled.

"Thank you, Addi. You always seem to know what to say. Enough about him ok?" I nodded.

Soon the toast began. Ryan's parents gushed about how much they loved Emma and were excited for her to join their family. A few friends of the happy couple gave toasts and then Kade stood up tapping his glass.

"I'd like to take a minute to tell my sister how proud I am of her. Emma, you have grown from a skinny little girl with pigtails who followed me everywhere into a beautiful smart woman. I couldn't be more proud to call you my sister. I know that mom is smiling down so proud of the woman you have become. Seeing your love for Ryan has inspired me to find my own love." He took my hand and kissed it as everyone watched. "Congratulations baby sister I love you!" Kade smiled warmly at Emma who had tears in her eyes as she got up and crossed the room to hug him. Everyone clapped including Mr. Jacobs who looked at me with tears in his eyes. After dinner, some guests started to leave. Nora waved me over to her in the kitchen. I told Kade I'd be right back and followed after her.

Nora was pacing the floor. "Nora what's going on?"

"Well uh shit! Addi I'm sorry but we have a big problem." She stopped pacing and looked at me nervously.

"You're freaking me out Nora what is it?"

"Grants outside drunk. He has been out there awhile I didn't want to interrupt your dinner but I can't get him to leave and I didn't want to make a scene. He is throwing chairs and demanding to see you." She was shaking.

"Ok Nora, just calm down I can handle him you stay in here and get the crew started on clean up from the party. If I'm not back here in fifteen minutes you go tell Kade ok?"

She nodded and forced a smile. "Be careful Addi he is really drunk."

"I'll be fine," I told her as I went out the back door.

It was dark on this side of the house. I walked around toward the driveway and that's when I saw him. In his blue suit holding a bottle of whiskey. He was sitting in the grass looking up at the moon. "Grant!" I yelled at him as I approached him.

"Addi? Baby is that you?" He mumbled.

"Yea it's me. What the fuck are you doing here Grant?"

"I miss you baby. Please just stop being mad and come home with me." He tried to stand up but fell back down.

"Grant your wasted let me call you a cab and you can sleep it off."

"NO!! I don't want to sleep it off!! I want you naked under me!! How about that Addi? Please?!" He yelled and threw the whiskey bottle. I hear glass break against whatever the bottle hit and I jumped.

"That's not happening Grant. Come on let me help you up. I'll get you some coffee and you can sober up." I'd never seen him this drunk and I was a little scared of what he might do. I reached out slowly grabbing his arm. But instead of trying to stand up, he pulled me down in his lap.

"Addison. I need you baby just let me have you please?" He mumbled kissing my neck as he groped my boob. I pushed him and stood up.

"Damnit, Grant! Don't touch me! Get the fuck up your leaving or I'll call the cops!" I screamed at him.

He stood slowly coming towards me. "You are mine Addison and I'll touch you where ever I want!" He screamed.

I stood there looking at him unsure of what I should do. "Grant your drunk. Just calm down and we'll talk ok?" He got closer to me and I put my hand out. "Grant let's just talk ok? Like old times remember when we use to talk for hours?" I tried to stay calm but the way he was looking at me scared me to my very core. He grabbed my hand and put it on his chest. I could feel his heart beating like crazy.

"Do you feel that Addison?!  My heart is yours!! I love you Addi!!!" He screamed pulling me to him.

"Grant please let me go and we will talk you don't need to make a scene just stop ok please Grant?" I took my hand turned his face and look into his eyes. The man looking back at me wasn't someone I recognized at all. He grabbed my waist holding me tightly against him. I wiggled and pushed at his chest. "Grant let me go!" I screamed and I started to panic my eyes filling with tears.

"I'm not going to hurt you Addison I won't do anything I haven't done before baby. Your mine and I'm going to make sure your body knows it." He pulled me against his chest holding me so tight I could barely move. He kissed down my neck mumbling incoherently.

"Please please Grant just stop!! I don't want you!!! Stop!!!!" I cried and screamed closing my eyes waiting for whatever was to come. I knew I couldn't get him off of me. Suddenly I heard Emma screaming. I opened my eyes realizing Grant no longer had a hold on me. He was on the ground with Kade on top of him. Kade was punching him over and over again. Emma screamed begging her brother to stop, but it seemed he didn't hear her at all. Grant wasn't moving, blood was everywhere. I quickly realized I needed to stop Kade or he was going to kill Grant.

"Kade! Baby, please stop! I'm ok he didn't hurt me, Kade!!!" I screamed at him. I walked over to him and touched his back. He took one last swing at Grant who was out cold. Before standing up. "Kade I'm ok. It's ok. Look at me."

He raised his eyes to mine. Tears brimmed his eyes. "Addi I'm sorry you had to see that. I couldn't stop." He ran his bloody hands thru his hair. I heard an ambulance coming in the background and Mr. Jacobs was walking towards us.

"Kade get inside the police will be here soon I'll explain this situation to them. Go get yourself together son. Emma take your brother inside and help him!" He shouted.

Emma guided Kade in the house and I stood there looking at Grant on the ground. "This is all you're doing you know?!" Mr. Jacobs growled at me.

"Excuse me? I didn't do anything how is this my fault?" I screamed back. The ambulance appeared and the paramedics put Grant on a stretcher. "What happened?" One of the men asked.

"He was trying to rape this young lady and my son defended her. He is unconscious should be fine in a few hours." Mr. Jacobs said to the paramedic. "Nothing else to it! Now if you'll excuse us you have a job to do." Mr. Jacobs took my arm and lead me back to the house.

"You can let go now they are leaving," I told him pulling my arm away.

He sighed.  "I didn't mean to blame you, Addison.  I'm sorry I don't like seeing my son like that.  He can't control himself and I blame myself for that."  He shook his head.  "He gets it from me.  I've never been one to control my temper.  The cops will be here soon,  go inside and check on Kade.  I'll handle this Addison.  Don't worry dear everything will be ok."  He gave me a half-hearted smile,  to which I rolled my eyes.

"I know you don't like me you don't have to pretend."  I huffed at him opening the front door.

"That's not true actually I think your perfect for Kade that's what scares me." He sighed.  "If this ends badly I don't know if he'll recover so easily this time."
